In the damp and dim sewers, a burly Tiger-man shook his furry ears. His tiger instincts made him somewhat uncomfortable in the humid, cold environment.
His eyes, belonging to a top-tier predator, allowed him to see everything in the sewer with perfect clarity.
He held a ridiculously large, heavy sword in his claws, leading the way. His thick skin and flesh allowed him to block enemy attacks immediately and launch counterattacks at any moment.
"The scent is getting clearer. There are nine different Lizardmen scents in total. They're spread out over an area of about two square kilometers, with the closest Lizardman two kilometers away from us."
The Werewolf sniffed the air, relaying the information.
"Prepare to engage!"
The Eclipse slowly swayed its long tail, gliding through the water. Only its head and back were visible, making it extremely difficult to detect, even with excellent night vision.
"Stay vigilant. Scents can be deceiving; they might not be where they seem."
The news had detailed the Lizardmen's backgrounds in depth. They were all experienced Navy SEALs, having carried out dozens of extremely dangerous missions in Iraq, Afghanistan, and South America. And these were just a bunch of former killers, at an absolute disadvantage in terms of combat skills.
He didn't believe these former Navy SEALs hadn't prepared for the attack. So he maintained the highest vigilance. Kakarot was in their midst, and Eclipse had to ensure her absolute safety.
Kakarot directly used the Sky Dance Technique to hover in the air. Because her strength wasn't strong enough, she couldn't sense the ki from too far away. She was somewhat eager to try, because the upcoming battle could be said to be her first real fight.
Colonel Johnson was sitting on the ground, staring at the monitoring screen. The Lizardmen under his command were setting up a night vision monitoring system around them at the fastest speed, just waiting for those pot-bellied generals to send their subordinates in to die.
It was a pity that the US military was far more cautious than he had anticipated. They only sent a batch of drones and reconnaissance robots down, trying to determine the Lizardmen's range of activity.
After a cold snort, Colonel Johnson crushed the drone in his hand. These little gadgets couldn't fool the night vision monitoring system, nor could they fool the Lizardmen's keen vision and hearing. He could guess what those fools were thinking with his eyes closed, nothing more than shrinking their range of activity and then directly deploying poison gas or anesthetic gas.
"A bunch of cowardly rats."
Colonel Johnson said disdainfully. If they wanted to deploy poison gas or anesthetic gas, they had to evacuate the civilians on the ground. He had left a Lizardman lurking in the city, and such a big commotion was impossible to hide from him.
"What about those two women?"
He asked one of his subordinates.
"They're being well-behaved, haven't made any moves, and haven't tried to contact the surface. I just don't know if they're actually making the Serum, or if they're trying to pull something."
This Lizardmen was skilled in battlefield first aid and had a basic understanding of chemistry. Unfortunately, he knew nothing about genomics, so he couldn't judge the significance of the operations.
Colonel Johnson narrowed his cold eyes, a wave of annoyance rising within him. He hated this feeling of being out of control. He stood up and walked over to the side of the makeshift laboratory.
Tessa Eagle and Gwen Stacy were operating the stolen Gene Editing Machine. The stolen small server was running some program, and data streams like a waterfall flashed by rapidly.
The low pressure radiating from Colonel Johnson made them shudder.
"How's my medicine coming along?"
He pressed his ugly lizard face close to the two of them, sizing them up with a malicious gaze.
"We've finished calibrating the Gene Editing Machine, and we can start producing the Serum soon."
Tessa Eagle nervously gripped the pipette in her hand.
"Don't try to fool me, I know who you are. Gwen Stacy, your father is brave, and I admire his qualities when he faced me. However, if I find you're playing games with me, I'll tear off your father's head and bring it to you."
Colonel Johnson spread his hands, his sharp claws curved, and the muscles on his face twitched.
"Ugh."
Gwen Stacy covered her mouth in terror, her eyes wide, and her eyes instantly reddened. No matter how strong she was, she was still a high school girl. Colonel Johnson's threat almost broke her.
She knew Colonel Johnson's threat wasn't just empty words. The Lizardmen had overwhelming advantages when facing humans. If they really wanted to take George Stacy's life, her father would be in grave danger.
"As for you, Tessa Eagle, I know who your father is. He made a fortune shorting the Osborn Group with a Bolivian named Clark Kent. The information you provided is quite crucial, right? Although Texas is far, it's easier for me to kill your father and Clark Kent."
Colonel Johnson gripped Tessa's neck with his claw, casually demonstrating his knowledge of her information. But Tessa's expression was strange. She didn't seem afraid at all, as if she wasn't worried about her father, Cade Eagle, at all.
He muttered to himself, Could it be that their father-daughter relationship is bad?
"I have no need to trick you. If you really think I'm lying, then go kill him. Don't make things difficult for Gwen."
Tessa forced her facial muscles into a fearless expression. She actually hoped Colonel Johnson would go to the farm to cause trouble, preferably running into Broly.
Colonel Johnson withdrew his hand, feeling a bit bored. What a disloyal daughter. He sighed to himself, No wonder she ran to New York to study.
"Anyway, I need to see the Lizard Serum. If I don't get the Lizard Serum, George Stacy will die."
He turned and left the lab, and a Lizardman suddenly appeared before him with a serious expression.
"Sir, something has entered the sewers and is approaching us!"
"Something? What something?"
Colonel Johnson retorted, somewhat displeased. As an experienced commander, he hated it when his subordinates couldn't report the battlefield situation accurately and concisely.
"Beastmen, a group of Beastmen are invading the warning line we established."
"Beastmen?"
Colonel Johnson was startled. He leaped, like a large lizard, scaling the wall and jumping dozens of meters, landing in front of the surveillance video.
He saw a very strange team advancing in the sewers. They had heads of various different animals, were burly, and even a little girl was floating in the air. It was as if fantasy races had crossed over to Earth.
"What the hell is this?"
