It was after school, and I wanted to do a sleepover with Isaac. My mom thought it was a good idea. I looked at him through my window. He was working on something. I opened the window wide and came to him. He flinched and shouted that I shouldn't do that. He opened his window. "Don't do that, Avy," he said while looking at me. "If you want to do that, then I'll come to you. It's too dangerous for you."
"Do you want me to come over?"
"Yess," I say excitedly. "I'll be right back, Avy. Don't miss me too much, " he said, winking at me. I rolled my eyes at him. A moment later, he comes upstairs with a ladder. "How did you manage to get that upstairs?" I ask him
"Skills darling," I smile at him. He places the ladder between our windows. "Can I come now?" I ask him. "No, avy. I don't want you to get hurt." He said as he climbed over the ladder. "Well, I don't want you to get hurt," I say to him. "I know you don't, Avy."
I stepped aside so that he could get into my room. He jumps out of the window onto my floor. "So what were you going to
say or do."
"I wanted to have a sleepover,"
He was silent for a moment.
"Pleaseee," I said to him as I looked at him. I knew he couldn't resist anything if I stared at him right into his eyes. "Okay, fine," he said and laughed. I was so happy that I hugged him. He hugged me back, tugging me close. My mom called me downstairs, and I rushed downstairs to hear what she said because I couldn't hear it. "Is Isaac all here?"
"Yess Mom."
I walked into the kitchen to get some food. He was leaning against the fridge arms crossed. "Can you step aside?" I ask him
"Make me," he says, smirking
"Oh shut up," I say as I try to push him out of the way. "Can't you move a little, or are you too fat or something?" He laughed."Are you too weak to get me aside? " He laughed as he stepped aside. I got some vanilla yogurt and started eating. He sat down beside me. "Can I have some?" he asks
"No," I say to him. "Please," he asks me while staring at my eyes. "Fine but only a little." He smiles, and I put some on my spoon and give it to him. His face is close to mine. It's a bit too close because my face gets red. My fingers are burning from holding the same spoon his lips are on. Once he's done, I pull it away and start eating again. He stares at me while I eat. I'm not sure what's on his mind. "Isaac, will you be my best friend forever?" It didn't take him a second to respond.
"Of course I will,"
My tummy was full, and I pushed it towards him. He eats it till it's fully empty. "Do you want to play on the trampoline?" I ask him. "Okay." I got up, and he followed behind me, and we played on the trampoline till it was bedtime. I lay down on the trampoline. He lay beside me, and I don't know what happened anymore. The next thing that happened, I was in his arms, and then I woke up in the morning in the same bed as him. His hand was around my waist, and his head was against my shoulder. I moved away, hoping he didn't notice. I could now stare directly at his pretty face. He looked peaceful when he slept. I looked at him for a time till his eyes opened. He looked straight into my eyes. I looked away, flushed, and turned to look at the other side of the room. I could basically feel him smirking. I got up and walked to the bathroom to shower. When I was done I got some clothes and got dressed. I got downstairs, and my mother was making breakfast. "Good morning, Avery," she said.
"Good morning, Mom." I walked to the table and sat down in a chair.
"Can you get Isaac. We are gonna eat breakfast."
I sighed and walked upstairs to my bedroom. I walked in and saw him standing with his back to me. He didn't have a shirt on, and I could see his muscles. "Umm, we are gonna eat," I say. "Good morning to you too," he says as he turns around. He stares at me while my gaze moves to his abs. "Uhh, Avery," he says. "yess" I answer him. "My face is up here, you know." I looked up his face just to find him smirking.
I was embarrassed. When I looked into the mirror in the hallway, I was red. I quickly went to the bathroom and put some cold water on my face. I came back to the dining area, and he was again sitting in my spot. I sighed and sat next to him.
My mother made pancakes for us, and I almost ate all. He only had one or two. I thought it was funny. He deserved it for sitting in my seat. I looked at him, and he was leaning forward on the table. His hands were folded tightly together under the table. Leaving a white. He's squeezing them hard. "What's wrong?" I ask him
He stares at me for a second
His eyes find mine, and he seems to relax a bit. "Nothing," he said.
"I'm going to get my stuff and go home," he said as he got up and headed for the door, but then he turned around.
"Avy, can you help me?" he asks.
"Ye of course," I said to him and walked after him. I helped him pack his things. Mostly, he would just stare at me as I packed his things. I was done, and he leaned against the door. There was something in his eyes, and I couldn't place it. He slowly walks towards me. "Thank you, Avery. You will always be my favorite." he hugs me, and I hug him back. He then shoved a little paper in my hand. He smiled and walked towards the window. "Bye, Avy."
"Bye, Isa," I said and smiled. Every time I say it, it sounds like he is a girl, and I think he doesn't like it. He gave me a look and turned around, and he climbed through it. A moment later, he was gone.
I quickly opened the note he'd slipped into my hand. It said: "Stand in front of your house this evening and I'll be there too. I want to show you something." A wave of excitement washed over me. I'll see him tonight. Where will he take me?
