Monica's POV
I regained consciousness on Morris's office sofa, disoriented and panicked. Michelle clutched my hand while Dorothy entered carrying tea. Darren was speaking urgently into his phone, Jason was doing the same with his mobile, and Morris was in a heated exchange with Tobias, the security chief.
"She's awake, Morris," Michelle called out, causing him to rush to my side.
"My angel," he said, his face streaked with tears. "The police have been notified. Kayla and the girls are on their way. Colin and Tobias have betrayed us—they've both vanished." Morris's voice broke. "Dr. Parrish is coming to examine you."
"Morris, please—Austin—he's just a child," I gasped, terror gripping my chest.
He took my face in his hands. "We will find our son unharmed, I promise you. But I need you to remain calm for our unborn baby. Let me handle the search while you rest."
Dorothy approached with a steaming cup. "This won't sedate you, dear, but it will help steady your nerves."
