Chapter 211: Medusa Captured by the Werewolf!

In the blink of an eye, it was past one o'clock. Ryohei Tanaka had Lucoa help him lift the whole roasted lamb from the roaster and place it onto an oversized wooden platter.

When they arrived at the 'dining area', it immediately attracted everyone's attention.

"Woohoo—! The long-awaited roast lamb is finally ready!" Minos cheered, her fists clenched and her right hand raised excitedly. Her cheeks were flushed; she was clearly already a bit tipsy.

"It smells so good! I'll perform a drool-fall for everyone!" Jashin-chan grinned foolishly and opened her mouth. As if a faucet had been turned on, a stream of glistening drool poured out. A literal drool-fall!

"Ew—!"

"So gross! Stop it!"

"Don't do stupid things!"

Yurine, the weapons master, produced a paper fan from somewhere and, with a smack, hit Jashin-chan on the head.

"Ow, that hurts! Talk is talk, but why did you have to hit me?" Jashin-chan sobered up instantly. She clutched her head and dodged aside, looking at Yurine with a face full of grievance, as if Yurine had done something terrible.

Yurine, holding the fan, mused, "Sorry, my hand moved faster than my mouth..."

'...What kind of answer is that?'

Jashin-chan was stunned. She stared at Yurine with blank, beady eyes, and even a snot bubble appeared on her nose. Most of the others had the same reaction.

When Jashin-chan finally processed it, she exploded. Her pigtails poofed out as she yelled, "That's ridiculous! Under normal circumstances, how can a hand be faster than a mouth!"

"You said it yourself: under normal circumstances," Yurine replied calmly, her deadpan delivery stunning Jashin-chan into silence again.

Jashin-chan stood there, one hand on her chest, the other on her chin, lost in thought. She looked like she knew something was wrong but couldn't quite figure out what. She was probably still a bit drunk, her mind fuzzy.

Ryohei Tanaka gave them a speechless look. Ignoring them, he took a kitchen knife from his storage space, planning to wait for the lamb to cool slightly before carving.

Medusa smiled helplessly. Like a good wife and mother, she fetched a handkerchief and gently wiped away the drool Jashin-chan had spilled.

"Hey, hey, Ryohei-kun, why aren't you cutting it?" Minos was salivating from the aroma, and seeing Ryohei just standing there, she couldn't help but ask.

Pekola and the others also turned to look at Ryohei.

Ryohei casually explained, "I'm letting it rest a bit. The meat will be firmer, making it easier to carve, and it also prevents burns."

"Oh, I see!" everyone understood.

Five minutes later, Ryohei put on a pair of disposable gloves, picked up the knife, and began to carve the lamb. He first separated it into different cuts, then carefully sliced each section into easy-to-eat pieces.

Medusa skipped the knife and fork. Ryohei had just said the roast lamb tasted better eaten by hand, and he had provided plenty of disposable gloves. So, Medusa followed the crowd, pulling gloves over her own small, art-like hands.

She picked up a piece of leg meat, the skin roasted to a crispy orange-red, revealing tender pink meat underneath. She put it in her mouth with anticipation.

In that instant, the world went silent! Only the sound of the crisp, fragrant skin shattering echoed in her ears.

The rich aroma of the fat, mixed with spices, filled her mouth. Her teeth sank through the crispy exterior and into sudden softness, as scalding juices erupted like lava. The heat of the cumin and the clarity of the rosemary blended perfectly, carrying the unique sweetness of the lamb, exploding on her tongue.

The fat, slow-roasted for hours, had rendered into a glistening dew, deeply infusing every fiber of the meat. As Medusa tore into it, she could clearly feel the resilient texture between her teeth—a perfect balance of chewiness and tenderness.

"It's too good!"

Her captivating purple eyes widened. Her eyelashes fluttered, and her gaze grew moist and hazy. A satisfied sigh escaped her red lips as a blush crept up her cheeks. Her body trembled as if struck by the ultimate delicacy, and her consciousness was swept away!

...

In a dense forest where the morning mist had not yet faded, the light was filtered through layers of leaves into a hazy green.

Medusa felt as if she had become a monster girl. A pair of jet-black, backward-curling horns, gleaming like enamel in the morning light, contrasted sharply with her pale skin. Black wool, as if alive, wrapped around her chest, outlining her full curves. A miniskirt of the same material swayed with her steps, barely covering her.

MedSusa wore a pair of intricate, high-heeled boots, walking among the gnarled tree roots. She looked down at the basket in her arm, which held freshly picked berries and a few herbs.

'A good haul for so early in the morning!' Medusa was in high spirits. Just then, a nearby bush began to shake violently.

She looked over warily and met a pair of excited, aggressive eyes.

Medusa froze. The basket slipped from her hand. She instinctively turned and ran, her slender legs exploding with surprising power. Her black skirt flew as she fled over leaves and thorns. The heavy footsteps behind her were like a shadow, and the heavy breathing grew closer.

"You can't escape!" a deep voice said with a playful laugh, as if enjoying the chase.

She ran, he chased.

She ran, he chased.

She was trapped.

"Got you!" A large, gray-furred hand suddenly clamped around her slender ankle.

Medusa cried out, lost her balance, and fell heavily onto the soft, decaying leaves. She struggled to look back and saw a certain werewolf grinning at her with ill intent...

...

Back in reality—Medusa's face was bright red and beautiful. She kept her head down, eating silently.
