Chapter 13 - [Lost Memories] Chapter 12

Early in the morning, upon receiving a report from the staff of the Shunshen Hotel, the Knightly commander quickly put on his armor and helmet and rushed out. As he went out, he cursed in his heart: "Bastard, a bunch of good-for-nothings, they'll cause me trouble!"

The commander rode his horse south of the city, with a small group of knights following him.

The group stopped outside the hotel door, and the anxious leader wished he could ride his horse straight to the scene. The leader jumped off his horse and said to the others, "You wait here." Having said that, he ran into the hotel. He didn't want too many people to follow him to watch the joke.

The shop assistant led the group up the stairs, and the group asked, "When did you find out?"

"This morning. We thought the knights must be dead drunk and wanted to send them a few blankets in the morning, but when we opened the door, we found them all wounded and in a mess in the private room."

Did you spot any suspicious people last night?

"No, they were all diners. And no one has ever heard the sound of a fight in their private room. There was a woman who came with the adults last night, but she left early later."

Saying this, she was already outside the private room. The door of the private room was open, and a pungent smell of alcohol was carried out by the wind blowing in through the open window. The group leader covered his nose and saw that the room was several times more chaotic than he had imagined. Several wine jars were broken and wine spilled all over the floor. Helmets and weapons were scattered on the ground, soaked in wine. The riders' bodies were askew, and each had a bloodstain on his forehead.

The regimental commander held back his anger and said to the shop assistant, "You leave first."

The clerk looked at the leader and ran away in small steps.

The leader walked into the private room and kicked the nearest rider on the shoulder. "Bastard, get up!" He looked at the knight's profile, also soaked in the wine on the ground, and felt that he had lost all his face to this group of subordinates.

"Bastard, who hit me? Who dares to hit me?" The knight was kicked and hurt, and his body moved slightly.

"Stand up all of you!" The commander shouted loudly.

The knight, who had been cursing just now, trembled all over and got up quickly. His head hit the corner of the table in haste. He covered his head, bowed to the leader, and then woke up the others.

All of them had been lying haphazardly for a few minutes or standing straight in front of the leader. Only, their clothes were disheveled and their hair was disheveled, and they looked like beggars who were always crouching on the street corner.

"All bastards!" The leader slapped the bearded man twice in anger.

"There are three men in total, and they are very powerful. Really amazing, one punch down one of our brothers." The man thought the leader was angry that they had been knocked down by someone else and tried his best to defend himself.

Two more slaps on the face, the man's face instantly turned red and swollen, and a wisp of blood slid from the corner of his mouth. The leader shouted angrily, "What a fool, a fool!" Who sent you here to drink? Where did you get the money? Not only do you gather to drink, but you also engage in prostitution. You have really disgraced the Knights!"

The man wanted to say they didn't have prostitution, but suddenly thought it was hard to explain the woman's background. Moreover, the crime of forcibly snatching a civilian girl is much more serious than prostitution. It should be a capital crime.

"Hurry up and go back to the general order to receive the punishment. If you're one step late, get out of the order!" The commander said and left, but then suddenly turned around and whispered to the knights, "Don't let Miss Prison know about this matter."

The commander went downstairs, placed a red magic crystal on the counter and said to the clerk in the counter, "Don't talk about what happened today. Just pretend nothing happened. Otherwise... I've heard that the dead are best at keeping secrets."

After hearing what the team leader said, the shop assistant still dared not accept the money. He reached out his hand and pushed the money in front of the group, saying, "What happened today? Nothing at all."

The regimental commander nodded. "Well, take the money."

The leader walked out of the hotel, raised his head, and suddenly lost his composure. The most dreaded person still showed up. Miss Prison Slave was on horseback, standing in front of the little knight pair waiting outside, as if waiting for the commander to come down. Behind the leader, the knights rushed out in a swarm, and when they saw the prisoner, they were so frightened that they stood beside the leader, not daring to breathe.

The prisoner's horse came towards the commander, and a drop of sweat fell on his head.

Instead of scolding the knight commander, the prison slave calmly asked the goatee man, "Who did it?"

Based on the four slaps he had just received, the man confessed directly: "It was the little ones who did not follow the rules of the knights, gathered here to drink, and... And... Prostitution."

The team leader was so angry that he wanted to tear the man to pieces and then find a hole to crawl into himself. He intended to be cruel to the prison slave, but the fool poured out everything.

The prisoner's expression remained calm as she said, "I'm not talking about this. What you've done will be dealt with by your commander. I'm asking you, who injured you?"

"Three men, very powerful, one punch..." Before the man could finish, he was slapped by the commander again. The commander, trembling with rage, shouted at the man, "Fool, go back and receive the punishment!"

"Yes, yes." A group of people, their heads pecking at the chicken, rushed across the corner and disappeared into the early morning street.

"Go ahead and do your own things." The prison slave said to the commander, and then pulled the horse slowly towards the west side of the long street.

The Knightly commander was secretly relieved that Miss Prison had not lost her temper. But he knew that Miss had written it down. He climbed onto his horse and left with the horsemen.

The streets quieted down a little.

The prison slave rode on horseback, carelessly letting the warhorse move forward as it pleased. She kept wondering who the three men who attacked the Knight of Light were.

"Was it him? It should be." She said to herself, "There were only two of them, but then they saved one from the Dark Knight. It should be three now, yes, they. But how did they get into the town? The Knights of Light had already guarded the city gate very strictly. Why didn't I get the news that they had entered the city? Also, where are they now?"

The prison slave kept thinking and didn't even notice that four people had passed by him.

All four of them were dressed in men's robes, with hoods over their heads. One of them wore a black robe and the other three wore white robes. One of the men in the white robe looked a little short, with the robe loosely wrapped around his body and long cuffs, looking a bit awkward.

The black figure looked back and saw that the prisoner had gone far away, and then said to the man in the white robe beside him, "Gu You, I said he wouldn't recognize him. Why are you so worried? Look, just now I deliberately brushed against her horse, and she didn't react at all."

The remnant said, "You are so bold that you didn't think our efforts would be in vain if we were discovered. Yes, was that man on the horse just now a prison slave? Unfortunately, I can't see."

"She's pretty." Rong Yue said, "But I saw from her eyes that she was absent-minded thinking about something, and that's why she didn't notice us. Although I have never been in a relationship with her, her face and dress tell me that she is a very shrewd woman."

"Indeed shrewd, more shrewd than a thief." Lianwu said, "Rongyue, you just said what she's thinking now. I know what she's thinking." Saying this, Lianwu smiled at Gu You in a provocative manner.

Gu You ignored him and walked on in silence. Rong Yue asked, "Is that so? So you say, what is she thinking about?"

Lian Wu put one hand on Gu You's shoulder, but was hit down by Gu You. "What else can I think? The beautiful prison slave sister is certainly missing our handsome brother Gu You," said Lianwu with pride. As he spoke, he exaggeratedly brushed the top of his head with his hand, as if the "handsome" in that sentence was referring to himself.

Rong Yue lowered his head and chuckled.

A group of knights ran towards the four men, stirring up a street full of yellow dust. Rong Yue was so frightened that she involuntarily grabbed Gu You's sleeve, grasping it tightly. Gu You felt a bit awkward and had to pretend not to know.

It was not far from the city gate, and the four of them stopped. Gu You said to Rong Yue, "Rong Yue, we can only send you here. Hurry up and look for your father. We'll be here and watch you leave the city."

Rong Yue remained silent, still grasping Gu You's sleeve. Lian Wu stood aside, looking at the city gate, and said nothing. Gu You grabbed Lian Wu's sleeve, pulled it over and stuffed it into Rong Yue's hand, and at the same time saved his own wet sleeve. The remnant spirit chuckled and pulled Gu You a few steps away.

Lian Wu looked at Rong Yue and smiled. Rong Yue gave him a smile. After a while, it took Lian Wu to finish a sentence: "Leaving?"

Rong Yue nodded. Though the other person asked deliberately, she replied, "Yes, I'm leaving."

"Oh, I'm leaving." Saying this, Lian Wu had nothing more to say. The two of them just looked at each other, standing there not knowing what to say to say goodbye.

Passers-by looked as if they were monsters at the two men standing in the middle of the street, one grasping the cuff of the other. Some were pointing and whispering. The remnant soul and Gu You had to turn their backs and pretend not to know the two men. The remnant said in a low voice, "It's not our fault. After all, Lianwu came up with the idea of asking Rongyue to leave the city in man's clothes."

 "Leaving?"

 "Yeah, I'm leaving."

 "Oh, leaving."

The two of them changed the word "go" to "leave" and repeated the stiff lines again, giving Gu You and the remnant soul a headache.

The spirit whispered to Lian Wu, "Fool, speak up, say something constructive!"

"I... I'm really gone." Then Rong Yue turned to Gu You and the remnant soul, "Thank you for your help. I'm leaving now."

Gu You and the remnant Spirit forced a smile and waved goodbye to Rong Yue.

Rongyue loosened Lian Wu's sleeve and was about to leave. Lianwu, however, grabbed Rongyue's sleeve again, making people watching from a distance feel extremely disgusted. Rong Yue asked Lian Wu, "Is there anything else?"

"None... It's okay... You go." Lianwu loosened her sleeves little by little, looking reluctant to leave. Judging from his posture, it seemed as if he wanted to tear off a piece of cloth from his sleeve to keep as a memento.

At last, the sleeve slipped from Lianwu's hand, and Rongyue said softly, "I'm leaving." Having said that, he walked towards the city gate.

"Turn back, turn back." Lian Wu murmured.

Rongyue took a few steps, as if hearing what Lianwu was saying, and turned back, asking, "What did you say? Are you talking to me?"

"No... No..." Lian Wu covered his stomach and said, "I didn't speak. Maybe I'm hungry. Listen, it's the stomach that's crying."

Rong Yue turned her head and walked away. As he walked out of the city gate, his figure vanished from sight.

Gu You and the remnant spirit walked regretfully to Lian Wu. Gu You said, "Don't look. People have gone far away."

At this moment, Lianwu suddenly raised his arm and waved in the direction of the city gate, saying in a very sad voice, "When... "Will I see you again?"

"Crazy!" Gu You and the remnant Soul agreed.

 =====================================

The prisoners, led by the black-clad man, turned from the entrance hall of the Peiluo Chamber of Commerce into the garden and then into the dark corridor. There were no lighting tools in the corridor, which gave a very oppressive feeling. And the figure of the black-clad man in front was completely black and invisible, with only the sound of soft footsteps coming from the front.

After walking a long way, it was still pitch-dark. The prison slave took every step carefully, even somewhat regretting coming here. The man in black never said a word, not even a sound of breathing. The prison slave was somewhat unaccustomed to the environment and wanted to say something to get rid of the deathly atmosphere.

"The headquarters of the Pero Chamber of Commerce is so large that it's impossible to reach the end even if you walk so far."

 But there was no reply.

What a strange person! The prison slave held the hilt tightly, always on guard against the opponent.

Just as she was about to say that she had other things to do today and would not see Sir Perrow for the time being, the man stopped and knocked on a door. The prisoner was too slow to react and nearly bumped into the man's back.

The sound of the door being knocked out carried far through the oppressive tunnel, and the trajectory of the sound's movement could be clearly heard. The man pushed open the door, and at last a light came out of it. The prisoner, unable to adapt to the strong light, put his hands in front of his eyes.

"Please." The man finally said his third sentence of the day. The first was after the prison slave came to the entrance hall and said he wanted to see Sir Perrow, the man said one word, "wait." and left. A moment later he returned to the entrance hall, still one word: "Come," and left.

The prisoner went into the door, and the man closed it from the corridor.

It was a spacious hall, but there was nothing on it. Several old-fashioned chandeliers hung from the ceiling, which seemed to be antiques left over from the Dilla dynasty. In front of the prison slave, a sheer curtain hung from the ceiling all the way down to the ground, about the size of an entire wall. Behind the curtain, a man in a wheelchair could only see a silhouette.

"Miss Prison Slave, you are welcome. I am the owner of the Pero Chamber of Commerce. My ancestors were Sir Pero. Though I do not have the great power of my ancestors, I have boldly adopted this title." The man's voice was old but composed, "There is no connection between our chamber of commerce and the church, and it seems that the young lady is looking for me today for personal matters."

"Sir, I have come today to inquire about three people."

"You ask, I remember all my employees clearly."

"I'm not inquiring about the people who work in your shop," said the prisoner.

"Not working in my shop? Then I wouldn't recognize it." Sir Put on an act of being fooled.

The jailer smiled, "Sir Perrow, I don't want to play riddles with you, so I just said it. I've heard that there's a secret organization of hired soldiers under your command. Of course, I just heard the rumor and don't know if it's true."

The Sir Did not speak. He felt that the woman before him was not easy to deceive.

"I've also heard that the people in the organization operate in secret and that you don't disclose the information of anyone in this organization, so I suspect that my criminal might be hiding there."

"What a joke, Miss Prison slave. How did you catch the fugitive and get my chamber of commerce?"

"Sir Perrow, I did not suspect you. For I have thought for a long time that there is no place in this city that can be out of my sight except your secret organization. I'm not targeting you, Sir Sir, or your secret organization. I just hope you will cooperate with me and let me know where they are."

He was silent for a moment and then said, "I can cooperate with you. But when you leave, forget everything here. I don't want to have any grudges with the church people in private."

"No problem." The prison slave rejoiced in his own victory.

Then you say, who are you looking for? What's your name?" The Sir Seemed a little impatient to finish his business and send the Holy Messenger of the church away.

"Three men, I don't know their names yet. One of them had white hair, white pupils, a very distinct feature. If they are really here, they should have joined in the last two days, I think Sir You should still remember."

"No, no one has joined these two days. And I don't have any white-haired people under my wing." The Jazz struck the final whistle.

The prisoner did not speak and stood there trying to see if Sir Perrow was telling him the truth.

Then the back door opened. The man in black just now ran in, lifted the gauze curtain with his hand and crawled through. He lay on the Sir's shoulder and said a very short sentence.

The Sir Nodded and said to the prison slave, "My subordinate just said that three men have come outside and say they want to join my secret organization. Maybe it's the man you're looking for, do you want to see?"

"Is there one with white hair?" "Asked the prisoner.

The man in black replied, "They are wearing hoods and can't see." He finally said a complete sentence.

"How about you go and see them?" "Asked the Sir.

"I'm sorry, Sir. I think I can't see them now because I can't let them know that I'm tracking them down. So... I think I'll have to trouble you a little more."

The Sir, a little impatient, said to the man in black, "Take Miss Prison Slave to the lounge and bring the three men in."

Not long after the prisoner followed the black-clad man out, the man brought the three men into the hall.

Without asking their names, Sir Perrow said, "Take off your hats."

The three of them hesitated for a moment and then slowly took off their hoods.

Yes, there was indeed one with white hair and white pupils. The Sir Perked up a little and whispered, "I wish I were not color-blind." Then he waved his hand and said to the man in black, "Take them down. They've been conscripted."

Lian Wu thought that the Sir Had called them to see their own skills, but he had hastily hired them just by looking at their faces. "Is this hiring soldiers or hiring PR?" he muttered under his breath.

"Back off, back off. I'm tired today." The jazz heard the words of Lienwu, but he no longer wanted to argue with Lienwu. He just wanted to get rid of the people of the church as soon as possible.

The three went away and the prison slave returned to the hall. "Miss Prison slave, if I'm not color-blind, then indeed one of the three has white hair and eyes," said the Sir. What are you going to do? If you are going to take it down on the spot, I will immediately instruct my subordinates to do it for you."

"No, thank you, Sir." "Let them stay here. I don't need to take them back for the time being," said the prisoner.

"All right, all right, whatever you say, I'll arrange it exactly as you wish."

The prison slave bowed. "Well, thank you again, Sir. I'll leave at once and forget that there's a secret organization in the Pero Chamber of Commerce."

The prisoner left the hall, and the Sir Whispered, "The people of the church are really troublesome."
