Chapter 1 - EXECUTOR

That day, Arya Setya suddenly woke up in a strange world called DIRU. He had died of old age on Earth, where he was known as the greatest sniper in history. Yet there was no honor, no reward. He died in silence and was forgotten.

“Not that I regret it…” he muttered in his heart, “but… what did I live for? Who did I do all this for?”

Emptiness filled his chest. A stabbing irony.

“Where is this?” Arya murmured, staring at the unfamiliar blue sky above him. “Wasn’t I already dead? Hah… why am I alive again? And this body… feels light? These hands… so small?”

He observed his fingers. “I’ve been reborn as a child… and as a street orphan, apparently.”

“Hey, why are you talking to yourself?” asked a little girl who appeared from behind the bushes.

“Ah, it’s nothing. Eetto… Dina, right?”

“Yes.”

Dina, a girl a year younger than him, was also an orphan like Arya. Somehow, they clicked immediately.

Arya closed his eyes for a moment. Fragments of memories entered his mind. This world is called DIRU… and this place is an abandoned zone…

His stomach suddenly growled. “Groowlll… Alright, food first.”

It didn’t take long for Arya to find a banana-like fruit near a cliff and bring it to Dina.

“Here, eat this,” he said, offering the fruit.

“Thank you,” Dina replied softly.

“You’re welcome.”

Arya looked around. Why are there so many orphans here? Where are the city rulers? What the hell is this?!

He walked to the edge of the cliff, standing still as the wind blew against his face.

“So, the ruler of this city is corrupt, huh… Hmmm, in these memories, this world is a world of swords and magic. If I can use magic… that would be cool. Let’s try…”

“Fire!” he shouted.

A small flame appeared in his hand.

“Woah… it worked. Water!”

This time, water appeared.

“Wind…”

Air swirled around his hand.

“Earth…”

The ground slightly rose beneath his feet.

“Light…”

A blinding flash emerged.

“Darkness…”

A dark aura briefly engulfed his palm before disappearing.

“So this body can use six elements… if I train properly, I can become unbeatable.” Arya chuckled. “Purpose, huh? What’s my purpose in this world? OH RIGHT! If this ruler is corrupt, and maybe other rulers too… what if I just execute them all? Maybe even… the king.” He grinned. “Okay, decision made. I’ll execute them all.”

With that resolve, Arya began training. He developed his magic, trained his body, strengthened his mind, and sharpened his intelligence. He lived in the forest with Dina, away from the abandoned village, building strength in silence.

A month later, Arya sat thinking while scribbling in the dirt.

“It feels incomplete without a sniper rifle. But what can I make it from? Earth? No way, too fragile.” He tapped his chin. “How about… searching for iron sand underground?”

“Search…” he murmured, channeling magic into the ground.

Oily black sand slowly emerged.

“Raise sand!”

The iron sand began to rise. He shaped the clumps, then melted them with fire magic. Piece by piece, he crafted with precision. Scope, barrel, spring, bullets, everything was made manually. The scope material he created himself—glass sand, lenses, and more.

A few days later, the rifle was complete.

“Nice, it’s done. Bullets ready. Let’s test accuracy…”

Dorr!

“Hmm, not accurate enough.” He adjusted the settings. “Try again.”

Phuu!

“Perfect.”

Suddenly, small footsteps approached.

“What was that loud noise, Ar?” asked Dina, climbing from the bottom of the cliff.

“Oh, I made a weapon.”

“A weapon? What is it? A staff? A spear?”

“No. This is called a sniper AWM. A long-range weapon. No need for magic or arrows. The range is way bigger.”

“Why make that?”

“Didn’t I tell you my goal?” Arya smiled. “It’s to execute the corrupt rulers. So, how’s your training?”

“I was training earlier, but heard that loud noise and rushed up. I’m tired, you know.” Dina sighed. “I thought something happened. Turns out you made a weapon.”

“Hahaha, my bad. Here, check this out.” Arya aimed at a tree and fired.

Phuu!

A large hole formed in the tree trunk.

“Woah! What the heck! The tree got pierced without an arrow. And the sound is funny… Phuu~ hahaha!”

“Hahaha! Awesome, right? I made this sound so it wouldn’t be heard from afar like the first one—dor and all.”

“Yeah yeah, awesome, awesome. I’ll go back to training. Bye!”

“Good luck…”

Days passed. Weeks turned to months. Months turned to years.

Three years later, Arya was now 12 years old. Dina, 11. They had built their strength from scratch. Arya taught Dina many things from his past life knowledge.

One morning…

“This is our debut, right?” asked Dina.

“Yeah. Don’t slow me down.”

“No way. I’ve trained hard.”

Dina was a close-range specialist. She used two daggers made by Arya, crafted from mithril, able to channel fire and wind magic.

They headed to the nearest city. The strategy was prepared, now it was execution time.

“You remember our target, right?”

“Yes. The ruler of LILA city… Sucipto, right?”

“Yup. A cruel ruler who raised taxes and tortured his people for years.”

“So you’ll be the one executing? What will I do?”

“You infiltrate. Confirm his location and kill the guards if needed. Use this,” Arya handed her a magic communication device.

“Wow, a magic tool that lets us talk from afar… You’re a genius!”

“Hahaha! Praise me more!”

“Pfft. But why not let me do the execution? I’m already sneaking in.”

“This isn’t your stage. If I do the execution, investigators will be confused—they’ll think the bullet came from outside. You’ll stay safe.”

“Oh, alright.”

The journey took two days. When they arrived in LILA city, evening was approaching.

“This city is depressing… though better than the abandoned zone, it’s still grim.”

“Yeah. That’s our job. To purify the world from rats in fancy clothes.”

Arya pointed to a high ground overlooking the mansion.

“I’ll be there. If anything happens, contact me.”

“Got it.”

Dina infiltrated a bar to gather intel, disguised in a black hood. She ordered milk, making the other patrons laugh. But she ignored them.

Eventually, the bartender spoke, “The ruler of this city is tyrannical. The city guards are all concentrated at the mansion. There are more than twenty of them.”

“Thank you,” said Dina, leaving a coin and walking out.

When she returned to Arya, she delivered the crucial info. “More than twenty guards. But I don’t know which is strongest.”

“You can handle them. You’re strong, Dina,” said Arya confidently. “You have magic, strong weapons. Even if there were a hundred, you could do it.”

“Alright…”

That night, the first execution began.

Dina moved silently. Two gate guards fell quietly, their throats slit cleanly. She slipped into the mansion, moving through shadows, killing guards one by one.

Three… four… five… up to fifteen.

Fifteen already… Dina thought. The rest must be in front of the ruler’s chamber.

She continued forward, eventually reaching a grand door adorned in gold. The remaining guards stood ready. They too fell one by one at Dina’s hands.

Without a sound, Dina entered and confirmed the target.

“The ruler is inside the chamber,” she whispered into the comms.

“Understood,” replied Arya from afar. He closed his eyes and activated his magic.

“Search. Lock.”

Phuu!

A near-silent shot pierced the glass and directly hit the ruler’s head.

“Got him,” said Arya.

A few minutes later, Dina exited the mansion with a flat expression.

“If it was that easy, why did I have to kill all those guards?” she grumbled.

“They were as vile as the ruler,” Arya replied calmly. “If they had a conscience, they wouldn’t follow corrupt orders. Even the children—they were already tainted. But the servants… they were just victims. They don’t need to die.”

Dina nodded slowly. She didn’t reply, but deep inside, she knew that what they were doing wasn’t just murder—it was the execution of filth.

The next day, the mansion servants screamed in horror. The ruler and his family’s bodies were found in gruesome condition. Rumors spread quickly.

“Hey, have you heard about the ruler of LILA city’s death?”

“Yeah. They were all slaughtered in one night.”

“But the city is better now.”

“Who do you think did it? A secret organization?”

“Maybe. But whoever they are… they’re making a difference.”

Two weeks passed since the execution. Arya and Dina were now on the road to their next target.

“Who’s our next target?” asked Dina.

“The ruler of SIJU city. South of LILA. Their family is also known for corruption.”

“Are the guards strong?”

“From what I’ve heard… yeah, decent. Why? Looking for a challenge?”

“I’m not a battle junkie… but I want to feel more intense fights.”

“Hahaha. Hope you get a strong one this time.”

Dina scoffed softly. “Tch.”

A day later, they arrived at SIJU city.

“Same condition as LILA… why does the king appoint garbage rulers everywhere? Don’t tell me the king is corrupt too?” said Arya.

“Yeah, it’s so sad… But with us here, this world will be purified.”

“Of course. My hands are itching to execute them.”

“You’re a battle junkie too?”

“Hah? Too? So you admit it?”

“No!”

Night fell. They began their second operation.

“What’s your surrounding like?” asked Arya through the comms.

“I’m already through the front door. The guards… same as before.”

“Make him come out in fear. Then I’ll shoot him. I can’t see him from this position.”

“Roger.”

Dina began her move. But this time, the guards were more numerous—over fifty men. She channeled fire and wind magic into her daggers, making each slash faster and deadlier.

“Cih! This woman is strong! Kill her!”

“Oraa!! Die, you!!!”

Dina jumped, dodging, then decapitated two at once.

“Not that easy, scum… You’ll be the ones to die.”

Slash!Slash! More guards fell, blood splattering on the mansion’s expensive marble floors.

Meanwhile, in the chamber…

“What’s that noise?! Why is it so loud?!”

Finally, the ruler exited his room in panic.

“Hiiii! Kill her! Don’t let her get near me!!”

Arya smiled from the tall grass on the high ground.

“Hahaha, Dina’s going berserk today. Usually stealthy, now like a storm.” He raised his rifle. “Lock.”

Phuu! The bullet pierced the ruler’s head, followed by the guards surrounding him.

Dina stood in the mansion courtyard, breathing heavily.

“I’m done. Their number… more than fifty. Crazy.”

“What about the children?”

“Will we kill them like before?”

“No. This time… the children are still young. They can be raised by someone good.”

“The servants?”

“Same as before. Let them be.”

Dina nodded. “Alright.”

The second target was eliminated. Two days later, at the royal castle…

“WHAT?! The ruler of SIJU city is dead?! And before that LILA… Now this?!” shouted a man wearing a crown. His eyes narrowed sharply.

“KuHAHAHAHA! INTERESTING! A LITTLE RAT DARES TO MEDDLE IN MY RULE?!”

SEKIUS BELMERA IV, King of the Belmera Kingdom, laughed loudly.

Meanwhile, elsewhere…

“What’s wrong?” asked Dina. “You look gloomy?”

“Hm… I can use a lot of magic. But it feels empty just using a sniper. I want to experience close combat, like you.”

Dina smiled excitedly. “How about for our next target… we both go in directly? Kill the target up close?”

Arya turned. His eyes lit up.

“Sounds good! Magic and pistol combo… sounds fun.”

“Hah?!” Dina glared, shocked that Arya was actually interested.

Arya just chuckled.

The next execution… would be different.
