Chapter 155 - Chapter 155: "Adult" Theme Park Opens

On November 11th, Year 28 of Konoha, the theme park—built using a series of engineering vehicles—finally opened its doors.

As for why this specific date was chosen, well—it was Singles' Day. A certain transmigrator had painstakingly selected this opening time especially for the countless single people throughout Konoha.

To finish constructing a theme park covering three square kilometers within just over a year clearly demonstrated how powerful these engineering vehicles and machines really were.

Shen felt extremely proud at the moment. He believed that the theme park he designed would absolutely satisfy the needs of Konoha's citizens.

Just look at the forest location he had chosen, and the castle-style architecture. With attractions boasting titles like "The First Rollercoaster in the Shinobi World™" and "The Mightiest Drop Tower in the Shinobi World™," villagers buying tickets for the opening day couldn't help but be amazed.

"A two-kilometer-long rollercoaster?" Nayou asked coldly toward the person beside her.

A cold shiver shot up Shen's spine, as if a thousand needles were pricking under his skin.

He quickly felt puzzled too. Over the past year, he'd been busy conducting various research projects, leaving him little time to spend with his friend. But ever since he gained the ability to connect with shadow clones two months ago, hadn't he prioritized finishing the theme park right away? And still, she gave him such a cold reception—it felt like reliving those days from three years ago all over again.

"That's right! It's an exciting and thrilling attraction not even adults might dare to try!" No matter what, Shen patiently explained anyway.

Nayou remained expressionless, her gaze alone freezing the air solid. "Hmph."

Another wave of inexplicable chills shot from Shen's forehead, rapidly corroding his internal organs.

This was a total disaster zone—no matter what he said or did, it only made things worse.

Shen racked his brain trying to figure out the reason, never imagining for a second that Nayou's behavior stemmed purely from jealousy—that she was convinced he had abandoned their old friendship after hooking up with new company.

"Hahahaha! Why so glum? Scared of my amazing presence again?"

"Nawaki, go bother someone else! Just seeing you makes me unlucky!" Without turning around, Shen already knew exactly who had arrived.

Such a naive fool actually dared to walk right into the lair of the infamous Konoha Troublemaker? This peaceful life he'd enjoyed over the last year was officially over.

But Nawaki didn't leave—he kept waving around in front of Shen's face persistently, as though trying to confirm whether this theory held true.

"You bastard Nawaki! How dare you pull my hair!"

"Who told you to have long hair? If you've got guts, pull mine back!"

[Try my Fire Release!]

"Uchiha Shen! You backstabber! That's low, even for you!"

"This is called 'tactics'!"

Nayou struggled to maintain her serious expression while watching the two bicker playfully, nearly bursting into laughter. But not yet. If she actually laughed, someone—Shen, probably—might take it the wrong way and think they were getting along again.

"Good one, Nawaki! When you can't win, you resort to underhanded tricks!" Shen turned around swiftly and caught a small hand marked with dark patterns—this was truly playing dirty.

Nawaki calmly pulled his right hand back, shook off his clothes, then casually looked up at the sky, acting as if he hadn't done anything at all just moments ago.

Nayou, seeing such an exaggeratedly funny look on his face, was already trembling from holding back laughter but still tried to keep a straight face.

Shen, who had just suffered an embarrassing loss, happened to glance at her and immediately figured everything out.

"So that's why you're laughing—because Nawaki got scolded!"

Playing the wise guy, Shen knew exactly what he needed to do next to cheer up his friend.

He switched to a cheerful expression and announced their plan for the day: "Come on, let's kick off Team One's group activity now!"

"Group activity? But aren't we waiting for Orochimaru-sensei?"

"Nawaki, you don't get it! Snake Uncle has already arrived."

"You just understand a little bit more than me."

"I've never met someone so full of themselves before."

As the two bickered while walking, Nayou completely ignored them and hurried into the theme park.

She felt like if she stayed even a moment longer, she'd definitely burst out laughing right there.

Shockingly! Team One's little iceberg actually smiled!

That's one headline she never, *ever* wants to see.

(Writer's Note: Don't even ask who's running those headlines!)

Seeing Nayou enter the theme park, Shen and Nawaki stopped messing around and quickly followed behind her.

At the roller coaster queue, Day looked completely unimpressed by the track twisting and turning through a third of the park's airspace.

"A ride even adults are scared to try? Konoha's Most Thrilling Roller Coaster?" Seeing this tempting slogan made him grit his teeth and step forward to join the line.

At the drop tower queue, Jiraiya and Tsunade both looked up with disdain at the hundred-meter-high drop tower.

"This thing is supposed to be thrilling? I could jump up there in one leap!" As Tsunade spoke, she slapped Jiraiya's back, urging him to hurry up and pay.

Jiraiya's expression instantly turned bitter. Having his side hustle money taken was bad enough; now she expected him to pay too?

With a pitiful look on his face, he pulled out his wallet and silently stepped forward to join the queue.

"If it weren't for hearing those words 'for adults,' there's no way I'd ever come here!" Clearly, Jiraiya had been fooled by the theme park's name.

Led by Nishinodera, a large group of new students from the Ninja Academy had gathered in front of the carousel in neat formation.

Of course all expenses were covered by a certain rich benefactor. After all, it's just a small Ninja Academy. Now that Commercial Street has raked in so much cash, it's only fair to give something back.

"No hardship should ever fall upon Konoha's young sprouts!" That's exactly what this generous sponsor had said at the time.

But Kushina couldn't hide her displeasure when she saw this activity: "Teacher Nishino, this kind of ride is for kids!"

"But you're all five-year-olds! If not this, then what else should you play with?" Nishinodera felt he'd done nothing wrong.

Kushina pointed excitedly toward a big dark house: "I want to go in the haunted house! They say only the bravest can complete every challenge!"

"I agree!" Minato was the first to raise his hand enthusiastically.

He believed that becoming the light required him to overcome all difficulties. Projects like this were meant to test his courage — and he was determined to face them head-on.

"Same here!" the three said in unison.

The new Ino–Shika–Cho trio nodded together.

Whether it was their own elders or members of their clans, they had always been told to maintain good relations with the Uzumaki clan. This was a golden opportunity right in front of them.

Besides, since this generation's Uzumaki heir, Kushina, was only five years old, they had at least another five years to make the most of these opportunities.

"Alright then, everyone follow along," Nishinodera agreed after seeing that the kids from prominent families were all on board with entering the haunted house.

Truthfully, he did think bringing students to play on the carousel was somewhat inappropriate.

Whether the kids even enjoyed it these days was beside the point — he personally found the whole thing boring. It wasn't even slightly "grown-up."

As for the Ferris wheel, leisure cars, and swings within the theme park, he thought he'd never ride those in his lifetime.

One could say Nishinodera deserved being single for thirty-three years. He failed to grasp the importance of these romantic hotspots.

Moreover, there were some high-end restaurants and hotels hidden away in corners of the amusement park, strictly reserved for adults.

The joys they offered were simply beyond the comprehension of someone still flying solo.
