Synopsis
In a world where diseases take monstrous form, survival isn’t about medicine anymore... it’s war. In the year 2194, a bizarre evolutionary event changed everything—illnesses began mutating into living, breathing horrors. Dubbed “Bio-Threats,” these creatures evolved from microscopic pathogens and now ravage humanity on a massive scale. Cities have fallen. Nations teeter on collapse. In response, elite soldiers known as Immune Adventurers rose to fight back, each modeled after immune cell types—Neutrophils, Macrophages, NK Cells, and more. Kao, a cold yet brilliant bioengineer, never sought glory. He only wanted to cure his younger sister. But after seeking help for unbearable headaches, he receives a devastating diagnosis: a terminal mutation that marks him as a potential host for an S-Class Cancer Threat—or something even worse. A mutation that once annihilated his entire family. Now feared by society and hunted by the very adventurers sworn to protect it, Kao stands on the edge—between man and monster. But he refuses to die. Refuses to surrender. Refuses to play the villain fate has written for him. “If becoming a monster is the only way to save my sister—and the only way to kill the monsters who destroyed my family—then I’ll gladly become one.” With darkness crawling beneath his skin and memories burning behind his eyes, Kao sets out to destroy the horrors that took everything from him... even if he must become their king to do it.

Chapter 1 - EPISODE 1: "The Illness Evolves"

Narrator (opening):

Do you know what saves you when you're sick?

Your immune system. It's always been there. Quiet. Fighting for you.

But in the year 2194, we humans evolved. So did our cities. Our machines. Even our DNA.

And... so did our enemies.

The diseases evolved too.

They're no longer just invisible things hiding in our cells. They've mutated. Grown bodies. Minds. Hunger.

Not viruses—monsters.

And while our technology advanced, one thing never changed—greed.

Even today, it costs millions to get life-saving treatment.

Your worth? Still measured in how much you can pay.

But that's not the worst part.

The worst part... is that these diseases no longer stay in your body. They crawl into our world. They destroy cities. Countries.

And one man is about to become one of them.

Even though he hates them more than anyone alive.

SCENE:HospitalRoom,Night—Kaowaits.SCENE: Hospital Room, Night — Kao waits.

Kao sits silently. His eyes are fixed on the floor as footsteps echo in the hall. The doctor enters, hesitant.

Kao:

"…What happened to my sister?"

The doctor looks down. He doesn't want to speak.

Doctor:

"…She's terminally ill."

He places a hand gently on Kao's shoulder.

Doctor:

"I'm sorry. But there's a chance… A cure exists. In another country. They've developed advanced treatments that might save her."

Kao's heart skips. But the next thought crushes him.

Kao (thinking):

"Even if there is… I don't have the money for that kind of treatment."

Kao (quietly):

"I'm a bioengineer. I used to be.

After the tragedy with my family, they kicked me out. No one wants to hire a man with a black mark on his background."

He slams the trash can beside him, the noise echoing.

Kao:

"This is hell. Why do things keep falling apart…?"

He walks slowly down the corridor, eyes tired, hands trembling. Through the glass of his sister's room, he sees her sleeping.

Kao (whispers):

"…Why? Why is this happening to us? We didn't do anything wrong…"

SCENE:HospitalLounge–TVbroadcastplayinginbackgroundSCENE: Hospital Lounge – TV broadcast playing in background

A screen flashes to life—

"BREAKING NEWS: A genius bioengineer unveils a universal cure for terminal illnesses. The price? A nation's budget."

Kao stares. Hope flickers in his eyes.

Kao (thinking):

"…So it is possible… If someone else did it, I can too. I'm still a bioengineer. I can… I can fix this."

He stands, about to leave—

But pain.

Sharp. Piercing. Like blades in his brain.

Kao:

"Aughhh! My head… I can't…!"

Nurse:

"Sir?! Are you okay?!"

They rush over, placing him in a wheelchair as he blacks out.

SCENE:EmergencyRoom–LaterSCENE: Emergency Room – Later

Kao awakens slowly. Beside him is the same doctor.

Doctor:

"You're awake… but I have news. Bad, and… good."

Kao:

"…Tell me. I'm ready."

The doctor exhales deeply, sitting next to him.

Doctor:

"You have Stage 2 cancer. It's extremely aggressive. You might have four months to live."

Kao freezes. Eyes wide. Chest shaking.

Kao:

"Are you serious…? No. No no no—this can't be happening…

I'm going to become the same kind of monster that killed my parents?! Why… why me?!"

The doctor gently puts a hand on Kao's shoulder.

Doctor:

"You won't become a monster. That's the good news—because th—"

Kao throws off his hand and stands abruptly.

Kao:

"That's not good news! That's nothing! My sister is dying and now I'm next?!

If you can't heal anyone... then I will."

He storms out of the hospital.

SCENE:Kao'sAbandonedLab–MidnightSCENE: Kao's Abandoned Lab – Midnight

Kao enters a dark basement lab covered in dust.

Kao (thinking):

"I never came back here… I was too busy. Too scared."

He slices his finger and places a drop of blood on a slide, slipping it under the microscope.

Kao:

"…I'll find the cure. I'll heal her… I'll be the experiment."

Montage: Failed Experiments

Narrator (voice fades in):

He failed. Again. And again. And again.

72 times he tried. 72 times he failed.

Beakers explode. Notes burn. Syringes shatter. Kao collapses from exhaustion, tripping over shattered glass.

Kao (breathing heavily):

"…Damn it… I'm so close…"

He notices two vials—an old prototype and a new formula—sitting forgotten.

Kao hesitates, then slowly combines them, injects them into a fresh blood sample, and checks under the microscope.

Kao:

"…Wait. The cell structure… It's regenerating. It's… adapting?!"

Kao:

"…This is it."

He preps the syringe, and without hesitation, injects himself.

Kao:

"…For her…"

He collapses, unconscious.

SCENE:Kao'sHouse–OneWeekLaterSCENE: Kao's House – One Week Later

Three thieves break into his home, searching for valuables.

Thief 1:

"Nothing up here. Just junk."

Thief 2:

"Wait… what's this? A hidden door."

They descend into Kao's lab, eyes lighting up.

Thief 3:

"This is it. Jackpot."

But in the darkness, a strange sludgy mass twitches. Then rises.

Thief 1 (panicking):

"What the hell is that?!"

Thief 2:

"It looks… human… but…"

They prepare for battle. One thief uses a Threat Detector Device. It buzzes. Then screams. The thief falls to his knees, trembling.

Thief 3:

"…W-What did it say? What level?!"

Thief (trembling):

"It's… it's Malignant…"

SLUDGE WHIPS across the room—Thief 2 is devoured instantly.

Thief 1:

"RUN—"

He bolts for the exit, only to stop. A human-shaped shadow blocks the door.

Thief 1:

"Help! There's a monster—"

The figure stabs a tendril of hardened sludge through his brain.

The sludge shifts. Morphs.

It takes over of the dead thief.

It walks down into the lab.

Creature (soft, whispery):

"…Master… have you returned…?"

The other corpses rise, sludge crawling into their ears like parasites and takes over of the dead body of thieves.

All Three (in unison):

"All hail the master…"

Kao's body lies motionless, still asleep.

The room falls silent.

And the 3 sludge kneeling and does not move.
