Chapter 1 - ·HP: Sacred Gear Chat Group - Chapter 35

'This is amazing.' Harry thought as he felt his enlarged Aura reserves and the improved control over his Nen.

Devouring the Essence of an Enhancer had its perks. While the strongest kind of Enhancer had the simplest abilities, mainly an extreme mastery over the advanced Nen applications, they also possessed a massive amount of Nen.

And Harry had absorbed a fifth of Uvogin's reserves, adding another 4 hours of time he could constantly use Ren. Adding that to his already expanded Aura Reserves from his Devil Transformation, he could hold his Ren for 16 hours straight, the level of an expert Nen user.

A master can hold it for a day. The greatest Master in these regular uses of Nen were Enhancers.

His devil transformation was still ongoing with his magic power converting into demonic power. The Conversion is also strengthening his body, and with it his nen. Once that was complete, he would be truly beyond human levels even in Nen.

Thanks to Uvogin, he had also gained a lot of experience in the usage of the advanced applications of Nen, especially the ones like Ryo and Ko, where he could hit harder. Uvogin had truly mastered these abilities to create his own Nen ability.

Now all Harry had to do was to adapt his body to the experiences he had gained by practicing them. After all, his body is different from every person he had used his ability on; their experiences and training weren't 100% compatible with himself.

SLAM The door in the room closed loudly as Neon left it and Harry returned from his internal musings, having ignored the show between Father and Daughter.

Light Nostrade, the true boss of the Nostrade family, who had just sent his daughter packing in order to send her home because he didn't feel it was safe in Yorknew City, turned towards the gathered bodyguards.

"Now then... let's get down to business," their employer said, his deep voice cutting through the air. He was a middle-aged man in a sharp suit, his hair slicked back with precision, and a thick, well-groomed mustache framing his stern expression. "The auction will reopen tonight."

As he gained the full attention of the gathered bodyguards, he continued, "Same place, same time. The community doesn't care who is behind this; they won't be made fools of. The 10 Dons swore they would get the stolen goods back."

"Stolen…?" Squala exclaimed in confusion, "That large member of the Spider told us the Shadow Beasts beat them to the goods and that they hadn't stolen anything."

That was indeed what Uvogin had told them while being their prisoner, but that information had already been outdated back then.

"Haven't you heard? All of the Shadow Beasts are dead. Nine bodies have been found so far." Light told them, "The tenth, a man with the codename Owl, was in charge of the transportation of the goods. He is missing. The troupe probably kidnapped him. There won't be a need for torture. The Dons are also Nen Users; one of them has the power to extract information."

Okay, this is news to Harry. At least he didn't remember that small detail. But now even if he wanted to target the Dons, it would be too late since he had no idea where they are currently hiding. And no way to get his hands on that information.

Too bad; a few more Nen Users to devour would have been nice.

"If the Phantom Troupe is found, they will be able to retrieve the items." Light explained towards them before adding, "By the way, With the Shadow Beasts exterminated, they have hired pros to handle the Troupe."

"Pros?" Kurapika wondered.

"Assassins. The Mafia only uses murder to intimidate; it's not our field of expertise. Obviously, it's more efficient to leave it to the professionals. The Dons have formed a team; they will take care of it." He stated, before looking directly at Kurapika and Harry, "But that is our chance to stand out in the community. We don't want to let the Assassins take all the credit. Kurapika and Harry, I want the two of you to join the assassination team."

———

Opening the door to Kurapika and Harry, followed by the Light Nostrade, stepped into an already filled room. The occupants were looking at them.

A particular small, round, and bald Mafia member in a black suit, who was wearing sunglasses indoors, was glaring at them.

The two people in the room standing out the most were a tall and muscular, extremely well-trained man with long silver-blond hair and icy blue cat-like eyes, wearing a shinobi-esque outfit.

And an elderly man of medium height, with grey eyes and grey hair, standing upon his head a Fu Manchu mustache, wearing a black outfit that has the text 'A kill a day' at its front.

Both of them, excluding the presence of danger, especially the elderly one, have an aura of experience around them too.

Silva and Zeno Zoldyck, Killua's father and grandfather, respectively. The two strongest people in this room besides Harry himself.

The two of them were observing him carefully, their well-honed instincts probably warning them about his strength too.

"Everyone is here now." The round midget in sunglasses started as Harry and Kurapika stood at their spots, "Your job is to kill the Phantom Troupe. They might return to the auction tonight. Eliminate them if they do. How you do it is up to you. We don't care as long as you do the job. If you need something, let me know!"

"Get me a floor plan of the building." One of the Assassins began.

"And a Map of the Surroundings." Added another one.

"Let's pick code names for each other."

"Colors should work. Call me 'Blue'!"

"I want to be 'Red'."

"It's like playing a game." Zeno said bored.

Harry chuckled, "It is? Isn't it Killua's grandfather?"

Both Zeno's and Silva's eyes fell on Harry before Silva asked, "Who are you?"

"A friend of Killua. Sorry, I didn't visit the last time. Was a bit busy. My name is Harry." He said before saying to the rest of the Assassins, "It's not a color, just my name; you may use it as my codename."

"Silva." Killua's father nodded, not inquiring further as he knew all he needed.

"Zeno."

"That's not a color either." Pointed one of the Assassins out.

"Those are our names too." Zeno chuckled.

"Call us what you will, but we won't take orders." Silva added seriously, "We'll do things our way."

"Me neither." Harry added his bit.

"Wait… Silva and Zeno, are you the Zoldycks?" An assassin with a scar realized, "The legendary assassins who no one has ever seen!"

"It's not like we are hiding or in disguise." Zeno pointed out.

"You mean... Zoldyck is your real last name?"

"Yes, here is my card with my phone number and address." Zeno handed him a small card.

"Let us know if you need anyone killed; I will give you 30 percent off since we are in the same profession." The old man added cheekily.

The planning came to a temporary halt, as the Assassins speaking until now were unsure how to continue, intimidated by the Zoldycks.

This lasted until one of the more experienced Assassins spoke up, "Who cares about code names? As if we'd actually use them. Just let's go by ourselves."

Another one with a bit stronger Aura agreed, "I agree. We all have different styles and can't force each other to work together. I will do what I want."

A less confident one interjected, "But this is the Troupe we are talking about. It's too dangerous to do it alone."

"To succeed we'd need some basic form of teamwork!" the one who wanted the Codenames added.

"You already stated your opinion." One of the confident ones wearing a hat said towards Harry, before addressing Kurapika, "What about you?"

"Poor teamwork would only confuse people. Those who need help can rely on the community staff. Kurapika rationalized, "There will be fewer arguments if we work on our own. I'll be fine by myself."

He not only said that towards the other Assassins but also towards Harry. Kurapika clearly didn't want any help while dealing with the Phantom Troupe.

"Alright. It's Six against Four. It's decided." The hat-wearing assassin summarized.

"If you want to work in a team, go ahead. But we will work alone."

"Doesn't the auction start at 9 PM?"

One of the Mafia staff said, "Hold on; we will escort you to the auction building! Only a few people know that you are coming."

"Here is the map and the floor plan."

"Don't need it." Silva said as he just headed out of the room.

"Me neither." Harry added, as he had already surveyed the building before while waiting for the auction to start yesterday using his portals.

On the way to the Cars, the small round Mafia Baldy tried to start trouble with their employer. Even going so far as to punch him. But Harry caught his fist in the process, and Kurapika held a knife to his throat, deterring him from starting anything more.

During the drive to the auction building, they got a call from Melody, who had been guarding Neon together with Basho.

Neon somehow learned that the auction was not canceled and escaped the two of them. With Kurapika's Dowsing Chain ability, they found out that she was already inside the auction building.
