Chapter 139 - Chapter 139

The brash youth erased the kingdom's ruler. The king died silently, without a single cry, without a single twitch.

On the throne, the middle-aged man's brow furrowed.

Beside him, a burly bald man with dark skin, thick lips, and round eyes barked,

"Ferdis! Why did you kill him? Captain Vield hadn't finished questioning him yet!"

The one called Ferdis smirked devilishly.

"Vice-Captain Darr, that guy dared to threaten us. I hate threats the most. I gave him a painless death with my Black Hole Fruit — he should be grateful. But honestly, it was boring, no fun at all!"

A twisted grin crept across his face.

"No! I need to find some fun… or I'll go crazy!"

With that, a black hole swirled beneath his feet, and he vanished.

Darr's eyes bulged, ready to chase him down, but Vield raised a hand.

"Let him go. After all, every intelligent being on this planet must die anyway."

"Yes, Captain," Darr intoned, folding his hands as if in prayer, returning to his place like a statue.

Vield tapped the throne's armrest, then sneered.

"The Four Sovereigns… one day, we'll replace them. We'll rise to true Sovereignty!"

"No! The Four Sovereigns are false. Only the position of Great Sovereign is real. Whoever reaches the center of the universe rules it all."

In this vast cosmos, countless factions roamed: federations, space pirates, warlords.

But all sought the same place — the center of the universe.

Legend said those who reached it would gain the Great Will itself, becoming master of all creation.

The so-called Great Will Fruits were fragments of that power, infinitely greater than Devil Fruits, embodying primal forces like time, space, and matter. Such was why every major power lusted for them.

At the universe's core, four supreme factions blocked the way, claiming the title of the Four Sovereigns.

It was like the Four Emperors of the seas — sealing off the path to Raftel.

Suddenly, threads of near-invisible silk descended into the hall. A figure drifted down — a girl with curly auburn hair, wearing a dark Gothic dress and a giant bow at her back.

Her pale face was devoid of life, her movements jerky, as if pulled by strings. Red lips parted, spilling a cold, mechanical voice:

"Captain Vield. A message from Imu."

Vield arched a brow. "I hear you, Dakonina."

He asked no further — to make her recite long passages would be torture. Instead, he gestured.

"Darr. Go find out what Imu wants."

Darr's hands pressed together, and his body vanished.

Within seconds, he reappeared.

"Captain Vield. Imu requests our assistance."

Vield raised a brow. Dakonina tilted her head mechanically, silently expressing surprise.

Vield lowered his crossed leg, rising slowly.

"Imu's power should be unmatched. Who could threaten him now?"

"Did he explain?"

"No," Darr replied, hands still folded.

The hall fell silent. Then Vield's eyes narrowed.

"…Very well. We'll return."

"It's been many years since we last set foot there. And after destroying one of a Sovereign's vassal worlds, retaliation will surely come. Better to lie low on our homeworld for now."

Darr hesitated.

"Captain, isn't it risky? We've also offended the other Twelve Rookies. If they discover our homeworld—"

Vield scoffed.

"We are one of the Twelve. If they dare step onto our turf, we'll wipe them out."

He waved a hand.

"Come! Let's go back."

Their homeworld — the very planet where Good now stood.

Neither Good nor anyone on that world yet realized the storm approaching: beings beyond the limits of this world, summoned back by Imu's call.

Meanwhile, waves already shook the seas.

The Justice League had issued its proclamation, declaring its existence to the world. And at its head: Good.

The timing was perfect. With Good's legend fresh in people's minds, and the recent revelation of the World Government's treachery, countless hearts turned to him.

A new age was stirring.
