Chapter 18 - Chapter 18 : Kakashi-sensei!!

Ninja Academy!

It had been a month since the new students enrolled, and most of the kids had already gotten used to the daily routine of studying at the school.

As they walked along the streets, the children laughed and joked. Compared to the boring life at home, they much preferred being at school with their peers.

But there were exceptions.

Uchiha Yujin leapt skillfully between telephone poles and rooftops. From a distance, he spotted a blond boy being bullied by some senior students.

"Uzumaki Naruto?"

The last time Uchiha Yujin saw Naruto was at Ichiraku Ramen.

Back then, Yujin hadn't regained his memories yet. He had only glanced at the scruffy, unlikable blond boy.

But now, seeing Naruto as the main character, the difference in treatment compared to Sasuke was truly night and day.

"What a cursed brat!"

"Fox demon kid!"

"Get lost!"

One senior ninja academy student sneered arrogantly, "Orphan without a mother, hahahaha! A bastard like you should—"

Before he could finish, a sudden sharp pain shot through his hand.

Looking up in surprise, he found his wrist firmly gripped by someone.

"Being an orphan wasn't his choice. In fact, many people are born without ever seeing their parents and have to survive alone."

Uchiha Yujin said calmly.

Behind him, Naruto, lying on the ground, suddenly narrowed his eyes.

Yeah. Becoming an orphan isn't my fault.

So why bully me?

"Damn! Damn it! Do you know who I am?! Let go of me right now!"

Just then, a ninja around sixteen or seventeen jumped over anxiously to intervene.

"Let him go! He's a member of the Land of Fire's Daimyo's family! Coming to the Konoha Ninja Academy is just his hobby! Let him go!"

"Have him apologize first," Uchiha Yujin squinted, looking at this ninja who seemed to be a member of the guard.

"Let go! Let go of me! Damn pauper!"

It seemed our young noble had no idea how ruthless being a ninja really was. Uchiha Yujin didn't say a word more and tightened his grip again.

"Ahhh!"

"Pain! Pain!"

"I, I, I'm sorry!"

Since the other party apologized, Uchiha Yujin said nothing and loosened his hold.

But just as he let go, that guy suddenly pulled out a shuriken!

"Die!"

"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"

Three shurikens flew straight at Uchiha Yujin's eyes.

But in an instant—

Cling!

The shurikens were precisely deflected by three other shurikens!

Uchiha Yujin glanced toward the rabbit-masked Anbu standing in the distance, his eyes narrowing once more.

Sure enough, there was an Anbu following him.

"Damn it! Where did you come from again?" The spoiled brat pointed at the Anbu and cursed loudly.

The Anbu ninja shouted back, "By order of the Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, no fighting near the ninja academy."

"D-damn you! You, and you, both of you, just wait! Hmph!"

"Master Naitou Gouya! W-wait for me!"

Watching the spoiled brat and his followers walk away, Uchiha Yujin glanced at the Anbu and prepared to enter the school.

At that moment, Uzumaki Naruto jumped up.

"Haha! I really like you! Be my subordinate!"

"I'm Uzumaki Naruto!"

"Heh heh heh, do you know who I am?" Naruto kept repeating with a wide grin, completely unaware that the senior in front of him was already losing patience.

Uchiha Yujin clenched his fist. "Forget it." He didn't respond to Naruto anymore and simply walked ahead on his own.

"What a weirdo," Naruto muttered, scratching his head. His gaze was soon caught by a girl with a broad forehead, and he happily ran over to her.

"Ahahaha, Sakura-chan! You won't believe it—I just recruited a really strong ninja! He's awesome! I'll introduce you to him some other day!"

Haruno Sakura, annoyed as ever with Naruto, rolled her eyes. "Yeah, yeah, I know. Just don't block my way."

The training exam had ended, and many students had advanced to the next stage.

Uchiha Yujin took his new textbook and headed toward the classroom to check in. To his surprise, the hallway was completely empty—he was the only one there.

"Wait, where's the sensei?" he wondered aloud.

He looked at the note in his hand and confirmed the classroom number: C-3-1. His brow furrowed. As far as he knew, classrooms in the C area were reserved for graduating classes.

But those graduation classes had already formed their own teams last month, so the rooms should have been empty.

After waiting for nearly an entire class period, even patient Uchiha Yujin could no longer hold back. He stood up and kicked open the classroom door.

The room was indeed empty.

Just as he was about to leave, a young ninja with white hair appeared at the end of the hallway. Yawning and looking utterly exhausted, he said, "So early, huh."

Hatake Kakashi showed no sign of apology. Ignoring Uchiha Yujin's confused expression, he walked into the classroom.

He picked up a piece of chalk, yawned again, and wrote his name on the blackboard.

But he wrote it wrong.

Instead of はたけカカシ (Hatake Kakashi), he wrote はたけウウジ (Hatake Uuji).

Literally, it translated to something like "Field of Maggots," which was pretty embarrassing.

"That's really unreliable," Uchiha Yujin muttered. "So you're in charge of this class? Maggot-sensei?"

"What maggot sensei! How dare you talk to your sensei like that!" Kakashi snapped, glancing back at the board and hurriedly erasing the mistake.

"It's Hatake Kakashi!"

"Yeah, yeah, got it, Kakashi. So where are the rest of the students in this class?"

"Right now, it's just you and me." Kakashi yawned. "This is the graduation class that the Third Hokage just set up. It's for the village's special talents to start early."

If Uchiha Yujin still didn't get it after hearing this, then his brain was beyond saving.

"Am I graduating already?"

"What else?" Kakashi gave Uchiha Yujin a sideways glance.

"You're already nine years old and can use your Sharingan to perform the Great Fireball Jutsu six times. There's nothing left for you to learn at the Ninja Academy."

"So then, what can you teach me?" Uchiha Yujin crossed his arms.

"Heh, I've copied over a thousand ninjutsu techniques, which is why they call me the 'Copy Ninja.' As long as it's not forbidden jutsu, I can teach you anything you want. How about this — write down what kind of ninjutsu you want to learn on the blackboard. I'll take a nap first."

The school bell rang.

Kakashi, who had been slacking all morning, stretched and woke up.

The classroom was already empty — no sign of Uchiha Yujin.

"This kid really has no patience," Kakashi muttered.

He flipped his mask over and wiped the drool off, then finally noticed what was written on the blackboard.

Seeing the list, Kakashi nearly choked on his own spit!

He tilted his head and coughed, "Cough cough cough! Shadow Clone, Vision Sealing Technique, Water Style?"

"What is this kid trying to do?"
