In the dim cave, Ruan Wei led the group, his voice echoing through the quiet air as he tried to inspire and unify his companions.
"Listen, everyone," Ruan Wei stopped and turned to face the others. "The environment we're in is full of danger, but trust me—if we stick together, there's nothing we can't overcome!"
A young team member named Yue Wei's voice trembled as he asked, "Can we really get out of here alive?"
Ruan Wei stepped forward, patting him on the shoulder, his tone gentle but full of confidence. "Of course! I promise! You will absolutely return to see your fiancée!"
"Each of us has our own unique value and abilities. As long as we support each other, we can find a way to survive!"
A female teammate's eyes flickered with worry as she asked, "But what if we encounter those Xenomorphs?"
Ruan Wei took a deep breath and answered firmly, "Use the guns in your hands. Aim at the Xenomorphs and fire relentlessly!"
There was an undeniable authority in his words, and the people around him began nodding. Their expressions gradually shifted from fear to determination.
Zhang Lei slapped his thigh. "Good! I'll feed every bullet in my rifle to those Xenomorphs! Damn it! What's there to be afraid of!? I'll tell you—carbon-based lifeforms are never unbeatable!"
Ruan Wei's lips curved into a smile.
Xiao Yehui really picked a good opportunity for herself.
After experiencing action with these seven guys, how could I fail to win hearts?
Once we return to that so-called Lord God Space and gain its power, those three veterans will eventually kneel at my feet!
"All right," Ruan Wei waved his hand, signaling everyone to move forward. "We don't have time to waste. Let's keep going and find the path to survival together!"
The newcomers exchanged glances, and a spark of hope to survive ignited in their eyes.
The team of eight Reincarnators marched boldly toward the Xenomorph nest.
As they walked, relentless mechanical sounds suddenly blared in their minds:
[Team member Yue Wei has died. Crew count reduced by one. All members lose 100 reward points!]
"W-What!?"
The warning hit like a sledgehammer, striking everyone's heart.
Their expressions shifted from confusion to terror, and then they spun around abruptly.
"Where is everyone?!"
They tried to find Yue Wei in the dim corridor, but only shadows and silence answered them.
"What's going on? Where's Yue Wei?" someone asked in panic.
"Wasn't he just here?" another voice trembled.
Ruan Wei's face turned pale. He tried to stay calm, but a creeping fear coiled around him like a venomous snake.
"Zhang Dong is gone too!" another voice shouted.
"We have to go back and find him!" someone suggested, though their voice trembled with hesitation.
"No, we can't go back." Ruan Wei refused decisively, his voice hard with determination. "We don't know what's happening. Going back will only put more people in danger. Right now, we have to make sure all six of us survive! Follow me! Move!"
The group pressed forward, but their steps grew increasingly chaotic.
"Ah!"
A scream sounded from behind. They turned, blood chilling in their veins.
[Crew member Zhang Dong is dead. All members lose 100 reward points.]
The cold notice stirred panic in everyone.
They turned toward the source of the scream.
A horrifying creature hung from the cave ceiling.
Its body was covered in a shell as dark as night, a perfect camouflage that hid the danger above them at first.
Its claws gripped tightly onto Zhang Dong's body, the big, foolish man who had once boasted about his strength in reality.
The creature greedily licked its lips, drool dripping from its mouth and sizzling as it hit the ground.
Hungry.
It was really hungry.
Below the creature, Zhang Lei, who had just been full of bravado, now froze as if gripped by fear itself.
His legs gave out, and he wet his pants involuntarily.
His eyes widened, filled with terror and despair.
Forget the "venting bullets." Forget the "no carbon-based lifeform can survive." At this critical moment, he had completely erased it all from his mind.
Until the Xenomorph suddenly lunged forward and bit down on his head, he hadn't even pulled the trigger once.
Crack!
Blood spurted everywhere, and a round, rolling head tumbled toward the crowd.
The scene was like something out of hell, throwing everyone into sheer panic. The original plans and courage were replaced entirely by fear.
[Crew member Zhang Lei is dead. All receive a deduction of 100 reward points]
They began to flee desperately, forgetting all the brave words they had just shouted.
Ruan Wei was among them, his heart nearly leaping out of his chest.
"Damn it! My legs! Run! Run!"
Ruan Wei's legs were far weaker than after that night he had stood all evening tormenting a new recruit in the company.
He simply couldn't muster any strength.
Even though he was at the front of the group and relatively safe, the terrifying image of the Xenomorph haunted his mind relentlessly.
He feared it would catch up to him. He feared becoming the next headless corpse.
As he ran, his gaze fell on the elderly woman whose legs had been injured by Da Qiang's punch.
At first, she had indeed been limping.
But as he ran, Ruan Wei realized—with horror—that he couldn't even outrun her!
How was that even possible!?
A streak of ruthless determination flashed in his eyes.
He quickly drew his gun and fired several shots at the woman's legs ahead.
"Bang bang bang bang!"
His shooting was terrible, but he had too many bullets to care!
"Ah!"
The older woman screamed in pain and fell to the ground!
Taking advantage of the chaos, Ruan Wei sped away!
This act threw the surrounding crowd into even deeper panic.
They didn't know who would be the next to fall, only that they had to run faster and farther to escape this endless fear.
In this deadly race for survival, the dark side of human nature was ruthlessly exposed.
And the Xenomorph threat loomed like the scythe of death, ready to harvest the lives of these worthless newcomers at any moment.
The constant alert sounds by her ears frightened Xiao Yehui, and she pressed herself tightly against the heroine, Daniels.
Da Qiang had left alone not long ago. Xiao Yehui thought it safer to follow the NPCs, especially the main heroine, Daniels.
But she was far too naive to understand the capriciousness of the Lord God.
What about the heroine?
If she died, she died!
As a Facehugger leapt onto the sleeping Hei Mei, a newborn Xenomorph hatched in just a few minutes!
This Xenomorph quickly disrupted the original team's formation.
In the ensuing chaos, Xiao Yehui stayed close to Daniels, thinking she was safe.
She even pulled out a lollipop she had taken from the Contract Number, planning to relax for a moment.
"Pft!"
A tail shot into Xiao Yehui's mouth!
"Waaah!"
