Chapter 56 - Chapter 56 : Parasitic Xenomorph Queen!!

In front of the mirror, Yujin leisurely shaved.

A week passed quickly. From time to time, he lifted his wrist to check the information on his Reincarnation Watch.

But no matter how often he looked, the prompt never appeared.

"Yujin! Yujin!"

The door behind him knocked. Yujin wiped his face and opened it.

"What's going on?"

Zhang Jie held a walkie-talkie. "The Covenant is trying to contact us!"

Yujin took the device and snorted coldly. "What now?"

"Hey, kid," came Da Qiang's voice. "How long are we supposed to wait? When is this reincarnation going to end?"

"And why the rush?" Yujin's words carried a sharp, mocking tone. "The traitor who betrayed the captain wants to save her again?"

"Can you even speak properly?" Da Qiang slammed his fist against the spaceship's hull. "Do you want to die?"

Yujin looked unfazed, like a pig unbothered by boiling water. "I only know that if I return now, I'll definitely die. Do you think she'll spare me? Or do you have the guts to activate the Covenant and try to kill her yourself?"

"You!" Furious, Da Qiang pinched and crushed the ultra-long-range communicator worth a hundred reward points.

Ruan Wei, Xiao Yehui, and the others dared not approach. They kept their distance, not wanting trouble.

"Damn it!"

Da Qiang cursed violently, but deep down, he had to admit Yujin was right.

Once he returned, Meng Yao would never show him mercy.

No. She would definitely kill him.

Two more days passed.

Yujin lay on the bed, calculating the gap in strength between himself and Da Qiang, and thinking about how he could eliminate him successfully.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

There was a knock on the door. Yujin opened it.

"Daniels? What's wrong?"

Daniels's expression wasn't good. She grabbed Yujin and led him toward the control room.

"According to the rules of Weyland-Yutani Corporation, when a planet with signs of life is discovered, we must explore it, or things will get very troublesome," she said.

"Otherwise, we could even lose control of the spaceship. It would switch to autopilot, either returning or waiting for the rest of the company's ships to 'intervene.'"

Yujin nodded. "Understood. That means we must explore the planet, and if there's no threat…"

He didn't finish his sentence—if he had, he would have lost points.

Daniels was smart; she understood what Yujin meant immediately and nodded. "Yes, so it's your decision."

Yujin pinched the bridge of his nose. "Does this ship have any weapons? I mean, something to deal with other ships?"

Just as Daniels was about to answer, her gaze fell on the watch on Yujin's wrist.

Following her line of sight, Yujin's eyes widened as if he had seen something incredible!

After checking repeatedly, he hugged Daniels tightly in excitement.

"She's dead! Finally, she's dead!"

[Central Continent Team: Meng Yao deceased, crew -1, 100 reward points deducted]

Inside the underground mother hive, a scene of chaos greeted them.

The ground was littered with Xenomorph corpses—shattered limbs, dark red blood, and viscous slime intermingled, emitting a nauseating stench.

The bodies varied in form; some retained aggressive postures, while others were curled up, clearly having died in extreme pain.

Among the wreckage, one enormous Xenomorph corpse stood out.

This Xenomorph was several times the size of a normal one. Its twisted body showed it had been defeated in a fierce battle.

Its exoskeleton was covered with deep wounds, and some parts were completely torn open, revealing organs and bones beneath.

Fuming panted heavily, his body marked by the scars of battle. His clothes were tattered, and his face and arms bore visible wounds.

Fatigue and a faint, almost imperceptible fear shone in his eyes, though the broken sword in his hand gave him some sense of security.

On the ground beside him lay Dio Brook.

His face was pale, and the shield in his hand was shattered beyond recognition, clearly having taken a huge impact while protecting Fuming.

Both were in rough shape, but their eyes glimmered with the relief of having survived.

Before them stood the Xenomorph queen, the one Meng Yao had become after being possessed.

The Xenomorph Queen was enormous, her body twisted and mutated in places, making her even more terrifying and grotesque.

If they had the chance to choose again, neither Fuming nor Dio Brook would have wanted to face the Queen after it had been parasitized.

Their survival space was being steadily compressed by the arrival of the black water.

When Dio Brook realized that Meng Yao had been parasitized by the Queen and was frantically breeding Xenomorphs, he and Fuming had no other choice.

They could only seize some frozen colonists and use them to lure the black water away.

They then launched a desperate assault on the Hive, aiming to kill Meng Yao before she could create a Xenomorph army.

Having faced the terror of the Queen firsthand, Fuming truly paid a horrific price, just as Meng Yao had predicted.

Without the advantage of high ground, he came dangerously close to being counter-killed by Meng Yao.

If it weren't for Dio Brook's psychic interference keeping her distracted, the outcome could have been entirely uncertain.

Three days later, the two members of the Devil Team finally heard the long-missed mechanical voice of the Lord God.

[Returning to the Lord God Space in thirty seconds]

On the Covenant Ship, the rookie teams who had sworn loyalty to Da Qiang received a hundred reward points as a gift, waiting to return.

Nova looked at Ruan Wei, who had become like a eunuch, her eyes full of disdain.

She didn't need to grovel before Da Qiang.

Because she had killed the Facehugger, losing another hundred reward points was meaningless to her.

For Zhang Jie, the thirty seconds felt like an entire year.

Finally, he could go to that place, see her once more, and even greedily embrace the woman from his memories.

Daniels watched Yujin and Zhang Jie bathed in the beam of light, a tear sliding down her cheek.

This experience would be unforgettable for everyone.

Yujin relaxed his expression and waved to Daniels.

"Goodbye, partner."

A flash of white light passed, and the Central Continent team returned!

The empty square was littered with bodies, everyone sprawled across the ground.

The newcomers looked around, hearts full of anticipation.

Could they finally become superheroes?

No, that wasn't right.

They still had to go through another terrifying ordeal before they could get their startup funds.

Just as everyone was about to ask Da Qiang how to claim their own rooms, a furious roar erupted beside them like a thunderclap.

"Die!"

Ruan Wei saw the kunai in Yujin's hand hurtling straight at him and panicked, trying to hide behind Da Qiang.

But then he realized Yujin wasn't looking at him at all.

He was staring at Da Qiang behind him.

This kid had gone mad!?
