"My child… do not use the Excalibur."
The voice was soft, trembling, and filled with sorrow. A woman with crystalline hair stood before him, her face blurred as though hidden behind a veil of light. "Every swing will eat away at your soul. Every strike will cut away pieces of your life."
Amethyst—small, fragile, still a boy in this dream—looked up at her with wide eyes.
"Okay, Mother… but what about Sister? Will I have to rebuild our kingdom again, so we can rise higher?"
The woman shook her head, her fading body trembling. "It's… impossible, my child. They took our home. We are weak now. Just… make sure… you protect and care for your baby sister."
Her hand brushed against his cheek. Her last request before her image dissolved into mist.
Amethyst's heart ached as the dream shifted into color—vivid and too real to be mere illusion.
---
He now saw three figures, laughing together as though life held no burden.
A tall man with golden hair and sky-blue eyes—Gabriel—was eating with both hands, stuffing himself shamelessly.
"Gabriel! You're eating too much!"
The one scolding him was a woman clad in armor, her head uncovered so her beauty shone clearly. She had pale silver hair and deep crimson eyes—Shizuoka Aurelisse, a woman whose blood carried both dragon and vampire. Her smile softened even as she tried to discipline him.
Beside them sat their smaller companion, Ruby, laughing until tears filled her eyes at the sight of Gabriel's antics.
For a moment, it was warmth, laughter, and friendship. But then—
A black portal tore the sky apart. Without warning, it swallowed all three of them. Their laughter vanished into silence.
The dream ended.
Amethyst woke drenched in sweat, gripping his chest.
"That strange dream again… Gabriel… Shizuoka… Ruby… who are you to me? Why do you always appear in colors, when every other dream is gray?"
---
That same night, Crystal dreamed her own vision.
But hers was different.
She saw Gabriel and Shizuoka, no Ruby this time, walking together on a barren planet—one without life or death, its air hollow and oppressive. They held each other's hands, choosing their path with care.
Each time, they chose the left road. Each time, a portal swallowed them, resetting the cycle endlessly.
But this time—
They chose the right road.
The moment they stepped forward, both of them disappeared. No trace. No laughter. No warmth.
Crystal awoke, shivering beneath her blanket. Tears welled in her red eyes.
"That dream… why does it keep haunting me? Why do I feel like I'll lose everything if it continues?"
The siblings' dreams weighed heavy, carrying fragments of a forgotten past—memories that belonged not just to themselves, but to the bloodline of gods and monsters that had shaped their fate.
And somewhere, beyond the stars, the purple light pulsed brighter.
