This was a technique Sakura devised inspired by the time-loop strategy Doctor Strange used against Dormammu in the Marvel comics—a method perfectly suited for someone like Kakashi who burned through chakra quickly.
"Even though your body and injuries will reset through time reversal, the pain from them will stay in your memory. Continuous use of time reversal will definitely put some strain on your mind, Kakashi sensei. I hope you can endure it."
The rune Sakura created could only rewind physical conditions—not those of the soul. That meant while Kakashi's body would reset repeatedly, his memories remained unaffected and kept piling up. A few resets wouldn't be a problem, but too many could lead to overlapping memories and possibly even mental instability.

Kakashi said it out loud, but deep inside, he was utterly stunned. What did time reversal mean? It meant that as long as Sakura wanted, even someone near death could instantly return to their peak condition—and maybe even achieve immortality.
"Ay Guy uncle, Shisui brother, stretch out your hands too. I'll give each of you one as well!"
Sakura placed runes on Might Guy and Shisui just like Kakashi's. However, she secretly adjusted the rune on Shisui, preparing ahead of time for any future life-threatening crisis he might face.
"Kill her."
The lead Anbu glanced at Kakashi and the others, confirming they were indeed his assigned targets. Without hesitation, he unsheathed his tanto blade and charged straight forward. To these ruthless killers, whether their target was a child or not didn't matter—they were focused solely on completing Danzo's mission.
"Shisui, protect Sakura. Guy, you and I will handle the rest—don't hold back!"
Though Root was technically still part of Konoha, since they wanted him dead, Kakashi certainly wouldn't foolishly show mercy. Immediately, he pushed up the forehead protector over his left eye, revealing the hidden Three-Tomoe Sharingan beneath.
"Understood! My youth tells me I must go all out!"
With a deep breath, Guy unleashed the Eight Gates without hesitation.

With bulging veins pulsing visibly on his forehead, Might Guy immediately sprang into action, launching a flying kick aimed directly at one Root ninja's face.
