Torture chamber
Maxwell pov'
The exterior of the warehouse looked completely like an abandoned , decaying industrial landscape.
But,however as you stepped inside, the contrast was jarring. Behind the shabby facade,a complex network of corridors and chamber revealed a different world.
The room was soundproof and a single, flickering LED light circulated the entire room.
In the center of the room, a sleek, metallic chair stood and sitted on it was Dylan, tied up and looking really disheveled.
He had many bruises on his lips and every part of his body.
He had his head bent low,his gaze empty and hopeless.
Colin sat at the other end of the room,on guard until Maxwell arrives.
Maxwell arrived shortly, Drake by his side.
Colin quickly stood on sighting them.
Maxwell scanned the room,a look of dismay crossed his face. He narrowed his gaze back to Colin."Why isn't Dark here yet?" He asked, not expecting an answer.
"I think it would have been best if we kidnapped him rather than telling him to come. He'll..." Colin stopped, gulping down nothing as he lowered his head due to the daggers Maxwell threw at him with his eyes." Sorry boss."
*" Foolish."* He hissed and walked towards his father.
He squatted to his position and grabbed his jaw, raising his face hardly to look at him."Look at you. So pale and dry." He scoffed "I heard you sold your children in exchange for money in the past... How sweet." He spoke with sarcasm." Now where's all the money you've gained from your child selling business?"
"Luisa is dead..." Dylan spoke out,his voice filled with emptiness." Now you have me...kill me. Afterall I've made a lot of mistakes in the past."
" Oh please... Shut it." He released his face harshly in disgust."Stop faking sympathy. We both know how you you treated me years back..." He closed his eyes, calming his anger."I just don't understand why you had to send me away from home just because you hated me for no reason."
"I never hated you for no reason." Dylan snapped, his gaze bloodshot." And yes I was faking sympathy. You don't deserve it... You never did." He stared at him in the eyes with confidence."My wife is dead all because of you... You monster!" He barked.
"That's right. Spill it all out jerk." Maxwell smirked.
"If Luisa had listened to me you wouldn't be alive. Neither will I be here." He gritted his teeth in anger.
" You wanted me dead from the beginning?" Maxwell chuckled darkly, but the pain still lingered.
" Yes. No one accepted a neurological disordered trash like you." He snapped.
The words hit him hard, but he was quick enough to hid the pain he felt by those words.*" This explains why he had tremors at unusual moment."* He scoffed.
He never had time to visit the hospital. All he did was take pills, but it worked at times.
"So..." He snarled."Because I was diagnosed as a neurological disordered child you both just...just decided to abandon me."
"Yes. Not just that..." Hatred and disgust filled his heart as he spoke."No one accepted to buy you... No one! All because you're a neurological jerk." He gritted his teeth.
Maskwell chuckled."You're so going to really regret I was ever born."
"I've always regretted. When you were diagnosed with that sickness a year after you were born I told Luisa to end you since no one wanted to buy you,but she kept saying they could still be hope. She had false hope in a failure like you."
" I'll just let my men deal with you cause if I stay and listen to your shit I might just kill you with my bare hand."
He turned, narrowed his gaze to Drake, ignoring Dylan."Burn his fingers ." He turned to leave ,then a message popped up in his phone.*"I'm at the address you detailed out, looks isolated."*
Maskwell smiled in satisfaction. He narrowed his gaze towards his men."Go! Go get him you both. Break his spirit if you have to . I want him conscious when you drag him here."
Drake and Colin nodded quickly, understanding the message and marched off.
Meanwhile, Dark wasn't exactly at the spot he was told to come to. He had gone further down the path till he found a warehouse which looked abandoned. He had quickly hid by a corner while Colin and Drake came out of the abandoned warehouse which was just a facade.
He smirked, understanding the scheme maskwell was pulling.*" He sent me a fake address so I can be overpowered unknowingly by his men and brought here." A sly smile spread slowly across his lips."We'll see how your plans will end." He pushed the door open and walked in, appearing confident, his dark gaze locking into maskwell. Though he was stunned at the sight of the building, but his expression remained impassive.
He was here for a deal.
Maskwell staggered back, frightened and shocked at the sight of Dark."Wh...what are...you doing...here." He stammered.
" You asked me to come didn't you? Why are you looking so surprised?" He stared at him with furrowed brows.
"No." He quickly spoke out, shaking off his fear." I... I just wasn't expecting to see you so sudden." He faked a smile.
Dark let out a way chuckle." Of course you weren't expecting to see me appear at your door because you wanted to kidnap me unawared."
Dark gulped down his saliva."How did you know ?"
"Wrong question." His gaze narrowed and cut sight of a man looking really disheveled, bruised and tied to a chair. He had his head bowed low." Who's he?"
"None of your business." He strictly replied.
"Yeah, it's none of my business," he muttered, brushing it off like he never saw him. "The real question is—why am I still here if I knew about your plans to kidnap me?"
He drifted closer to Maskwell with slow, deliberate strides.
"Let's make a deal... I'll let you kidnap me so you can get the ransom from my father—unless you plan on killing my two guardians. They'll be on their way here soon, looking for me."
"Deal," Maskwell replied instantly, grinning wide.
"You should think about it," he warned. "Killing them won't be that easy. Especially with Siren."
Maskwell raised a brow.
"As long as we're talking money, I'm in. Killing them won't be so hard."
"Then you'd better come up with a solid plan. I'll volunteer—just so you dont screw it up."
