Chapter 4 - Chapter Four: The Proposal

Benjamin's POV

She turned her head sharply to see who had the audacity to question her decision.

Not just question it, but to forbid it.

As she turned, I set eyes on a beautiful woman, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

She was breathtaking, her beauty was natural, not the fake plastic kind, that chased me wherever I went.

"Who are you and what makes you think you have a say in the matter?" She demanded, her eyes fiery.

She looked like she was about to smack me. I smiled to myself just a little.

I took off my glasses before I replied her. "I'm the owner of the sperm inside your body that you don't care about. So technically that baby is mine, which gives me a complete say in the matter. And I say you're not getting rid of it."

"Look Mr. Whatsoever." She started.

"Benjamin Grey." I introduced myself cutting her off.

"Why don't we go somewhere private and have a conversation like civilized adults over a meal while we sort this out?" I said and walked out without waiting for her answer expecting her to follow me.

I looked back and she wasn't behind me. I stepped back into the room and saw her standing arms folded looking furious.

"I don't know you and I'm not following you anywhere."

"Yes you are." I said.

"No I'm not." she replied stubbornly.

I gestured to one of my body guards who were now standing by the doorway to pick her up. And then I left.

…..

Amelia's POV

He walked out of the door quietly and the next thing I knew, I was being hauled onto the shoulder of a bulky muscular man and carried out of the hospital like a child that refused to cooperate.

I kicked, I cursed, I punched but it seemed as if the man was made of stone and my attempt at freedom didn't make any difference.

The hospital staff watched quietly as I was dragged out without being properly discharged and they didn't say anything or do anything to stop him. They just stared quietly as we walked past.

When we stepped out, I realized it was already late in the evening. I was tired and exhausted and I also realized that I was freaking hungry.

Immediately we reached the parking lot, the huge man dropped me in front of a black G-Wagon. Benjamin Grey was inside and the door was open.

As soon I my feet touched the floor, I started yelling again.

"Who the hell do you think you are? Do you think I'm a piece of property you can manhandle?"

I was about to go into a full blown tirade, but he just gestured with his hands that I should be shut up. The body guard who carried me brought out a cloth and stuffed it in my mouth and a rope and tied my hands.

Then he picked me up, threw me in the car, locked the door, went to the front seat and sat down and the driver drove off.

I was shocked, I was being kidnapped! It didn't matter that it was a blue eyed, dark haired, demi god. I was still being kidnapped.

I decided to calm down and take note of my surroundings. I think the anger was beginning to cloud my judgement.

I noticed that everything about the car was screaming wealth. Even Dominique's car didn't look this good and clean. I glanced at him. He sat down with a straight face. He didn't bother to look at me or say anything. It was almost as if I wasn't there.

We drove in silence for about ten minutes, then we stopped in front of a sleek glass and steel penthouse, with floor to ceiling windows, that towered the Manhattan night sky.

The Body guard got out, opened his door and then ran to open my door and carry me out, all the way into the penthouse house. He set me down on a plush sofa and excused himself.

Finally, Benjamin Grey, decided to acknowledge me. He was standing across from me with a glass of wine in hand.

"Are you going to scream or try to run away?" He asked me.

I shook my head. He stared at me for a moment then he dropped the glass on a table, walked up to me, untied my hands and removed the cloth from my mouth.

"Great!" He said. "Let's eat." Then he walked away.

...

I wanted to protest, but my stomach decided to betray me at that moment and growled.

I hadn't had a meal since morning. And what harm could come from dining with a billionaire?

I mean he could be a rich serial killer, but he wasn't going to kill me, not when I had his child. At that moment I instinctively touched my stomach. It was weird that there was a life growing inside.

I stood up and followed him. It was like a private dining room, with a setting of two. He motioned for me to sit down and I did quietly.

A waiter appeared from nowhere and asked what I'd like to eat. He told the waiter to serve me what he was having.

I didn't want to eat whatever he was eating. I knew rich people are fancy weird food. And I was really craving a burger.

"Actually, I'd like a double cheeseburger burger and fries." I told the waiter as he turned to leave.

The waiter looked at Benjamin with a raised eyebrow.

"Get her the burger and a milkshake." He said.

The waiter left. "Wow," I thought to myself. "So the waiter needed his approval before he served me what I wanted to eat."

The food arrived and I dived into my burger like I hadn't eaten in three days. We ate in awkward silence, but I didn't care. I think he ate only three bites of his steak while he watched me devour a whole burger and fries.

After I was done eating and sipping my milkshake he cleared his throat.

"Nice meal?" He asked.

I nodded.

"Are you married, Amelia?"

I nearly choked. I didn't see that coming.

"No." I said.

"Any boyfriend?" He asked.

"No." I replied.

"Any girlfriend?" This time I did choke a little.

"No." I replied after coughing a bit, he didn't bat an eyelid.

"Any relationships or emotional entanglements?" He asked.

"None." I replied. He looked slightly amused.

"I'll pay you a million dollars. And ensure you have everything you need to take care of the baby, till the baby reaches a certain age."

It was a good thing I wasn't holding my glass of milkshake at that moment or I would have dropped it.

"On the condition that we get married."
