So, back to the question, we , you and I started this conversation on,
How did I end up here?
I already told you, how the Universe harvests souls, souls with extreme karmic level, those overflowing with light and those buried in darkness. As their karmic weight becomes too great, universe harvests them. Think of it as a entry criteria to fall under the radar of the universe's will. So, the Universe pulls them out, which is then given to these Factions, who then sends them to clans within them, who is then responsible to refine them into seekers.
But there's a third kind of soul.
Souls like mine.
We neither illuminate with light or drown with darkness. Just... nothing. No major regrets. No great achievements. No heartbreaks, no wild dreams. Just painfully ordinary lives.
We are the souls with zero karmic value.
People like me don't commit any crimes, or save lives nor stand out in any way. Just a another forgettable face in the crowd. I didn't hate anyone. No one hated me. I didn't chase dreams or even lose them. I just lived quietly, forgettable one day at a time.
And when I died?
I went to sleep one night and never woke up.
That was it.
No pain. No struggle. No moment of meaning.
Just an ordinary end to an ordinary life.
Souls like mine are usually reincarnated to worlds like Earth. Reincarnated to try again.
To live a new life and hopefully, this time, accumulate some kind of karmic value.
But sometimes… something strange happens.
We meet a Mediators.
Mediators are part of a special group-one of three that serve directly under the Will of the Universe. They're not part of any factions. They don't fight in the Game. They are just there to carry out the Universe's errands: delivering messages, harvesting rare resources, tracking dying stars.
And occasionally, they play the role of recruiters for the second group under the Will, called Null Beings or the Agents.
When they come across a soul like mine empty, one with no karmic value, they make an offer.
An offer to become a AGENT.
That's how I became an Agent.
So what does an Agent do?
When the Universe sends souls to the factions to be trained as champions, those souls don't just need skill. They need pressure. A story. Struggle. Emotion. Something to shape them.
That's where we come in.
We're reborn into those worlds, to live alongside these chosen soul, not as ourselves, but in roles the factions wants us to be.
A villain who destroys everything.
A brother or sister who dies for them.
A rival who makes them sharper.
A best friend who believes in them.
A soul bound partner who teaches them how to love.
Sometimes, we're not even people just the weapon in their hand or mounts or animals
Anything or anyone that will help fuel the soul to grow in the direction these factions wants to, we are assigned to become that.
We're the hammer. The world is the anvil. The soul is the metal.
But there's a something, a chance of a sort for the agents.
Once every agent completes one full cycle they're given a choice. One full cycle would mean that working with all 14 factions. Each faction has 14 clans. Each clan has 14 families.
That's 2,744 lives.
We live every single one. Different places. Different roles. Different deaths.
And here's the kicker we remember every single one.
Imagine waking up one day with the memories of 2,744 lifetimes. Every love. Every betrayal. Every pain. Every death your own and others'.
And that's just one cycle.
After each cycle, the Will gives us a choice:
Do we continue as Agents…
Or return to a world like Earth, have our memories erased and start fresh?
Some say yes.
And some say no.
A few souls go on to complete two cycles.
Fewer still survive to three cycles.
That's 8,232 lives worth of memories.
You took a breath just now, didn't you? Yeah. Everyone does when they hear that part.
By the end of the third cycle, even the toughest souls begin to crumble.
Even the most curious ones grow weary.
That's why, by the third cycle, most Agents chose the option to be reincarnated.
Not to die.
Just… to go back.
To be normal. To forget.
To stop shaping others and finally start shaping themselves.
To earn karma, instead of constantly breaking others long with breaking themselves.
And me?
