Chapter 406 - Chapter 406: The Victimized Stelle

TN: And we're back! sorry for the week long hiatus, it was not intentional since I had to get my right leg in a cast after tripping 3 floors down a stairwell (like an idiot ://) and be unable to use my PC setup upstairs BUT I should be OK now.

Anyways, Thanks for Arcanic Madness, WeissAkumu and WolfWTF for becoming as Supporters!,

"You two… just got together like that!?"

Stelle stared at Sol and Herta in disbelief, feeling as if she had been betrayed twice.

They had been having a perfectly normal discussion about collaboration, even talking about Aeons and other lofty matters.

And suddenly, the topic took such a sharp turn.

Two strangers who had just met… bam, they suddenly became a couple?

And the kind of couple that could have kids? Aren't you geniuses taking this a bit too casually!?

I came first, clearly, I came first!

Sol had always been so nice to her, constantly feeding her treats and sharing moments of intimacy.

Even though she called him "Master," their relationship had long since been more than that; she felt like Sol was spoiling her as if she were his little girlfriend.

Robin, Sparkle, and the others were one thing. Those women had been closer to Sol before anyway.

But Herta wasn't like that!

It had been her who introduced Sol to Herta, and they had known each other for less than a system's time.

And now, they had already established themselves as a couple—the clingy, can-do-all-things-together kind of couple!

They'd only known each other a system, yet she had put in so much time before Herta even arrived.

She already regretted giving Sol away to Herta for just a few Stellar Jades.

If she had known, she would have built her own bond with Sol first before introducing him to Herta!

"It's only for the sake of scientific dedication," Herta said, forcing her expression into a neutral mask, speaking to herself. "This is a mutually beneficial union. Good for both Sol and me."

"Exactly. Good for everyone," Sol said.

Sol held Herta's slender, soft hand, feeling elated.

The person was his—not only could he enjoy his fun, but she could also help him study the path to becoming an Aeon.

Herta Space Station was his now too, and he could freely access all of Herta's research achievements.

What he contributed in return were merely minor genetic details and a piece of light that was infinite to him.

Later, he might have to contribute more… daily fluids and all that, but he generously considered it negligible.

Did that light really matter?

Yes, but it could never reach Aeon level.

Because the reason he was favored by the universe wasn't hope—it was his infinity. His infinite nature, in this universe, was the hope that shattered nothingness.

Thus, the light of the Tiga could not separate from his own being to ascend to Aeon. Its value wasn't that high.

All in all, this deal was an enormous win for him.

Win, win, win—completely smashed it!

Herta turned her head, feeling awkward.

Being suddenly declared as Sol's girlfriend, and holding his hand… it felt like ants crawling on her!

The warmth from his palm transferred to her own hand, making her body heat rise and sweat gather at her fingertips.

But their relationship as a couple was just beginning; holding hands was only step one.

Later, they would engage in all kinds of things together, fulfilling the Path of Propagation.

What… would that feel like?

Herta's delicate face flushed pink, a mix of anticipation and shyness.

It was like having a gun pressed to her head, not knowing when the bullet would fire.

Before the bullet truly fired, a person would remain in a state of continuous excitement.

The genius hated this feeling of being out of control.

So, she decided to resolve it immediately—pull the trigger herself!

"So… should I leave?"

Stelle looked at the couple in front of her, unable to hide her surprise.

Even though this was the observation car of the Astral Express, she felt like an outsider here.

"Yes, it's time to go," Sol said, giving Stelle an encouraging glance.

Little gray fluff, good girl… I'll give you an extra chicken leg later!

Stelle felt as if she had been hit by a massive critical—Sol was already annoyed by her presence.

She had come first. She had introduced Sol. And now she couldn't even get a seat!

"Wait!"

Herta raised her hand, stopping Stelle.

"Huh?"

Stelle quickly turned back, pleasantly surprised.

Sure enough, Herta, who had known her longer, was more reliable.

Herta smiled, forcing a calm tone: "Stelle, where's your room? Could we borrow it for a bit?"

She wanted to resolve everything quickly—the faster, the better.

She didn't even want to return to her own ship, just wanted this settled as soon as possible.

She never cared what others thought, as long as she lived freely.

"Herta, you really take your commitments seriously," Sol said, holding her hand tightly, his body slightly stirring.

Using Stelle's room with someone he had just met—this was thrilling.

After all, he already had half of Stelle's life; to him, she was like a little maid, a small girlfriend he could talk and joke with.

"I just don't want to be bothered for too long," Herta said nonchalantly, yet her hand dug sharply into Sol's.

Try saying more, see what happens next!

"Ah… you're really that Herta!"

Stelle looked at Herta as if seeing her for the first time.

Borrow her room? And for both of them?

Were they about to start having kids?

And in her room, no less!

"No way, absolutely no way!"

Stelle said, eyes blazing with indignation.

"You think I'm what? A husband being cuckolded, yet also a doorman?"

She almost cried, feeling a series of green hats sprouting on her head.

Wasn't this too much? Not only did she introduce Sol, but they suddenly became a couple.

And now they wanted her room as a love nest!

They didn't even want to return to Sol's room or go to the neighboring ship.

This was exactly the kind of suffering the cow-headed characters in comics endured—and today, she got to experience it firsthand.

Ugh, this is way too unfair!

…Though thinking about it, there was a tiny thrill hidden in her frustration.

"You… are really in this kind of relationship?"

Herta looked at Stelle, realization dawning.

She had already suspected something was off with the two, but she hadn't expected this little one, barely born, to already be entering mating age.

Could Stellaron maturation be different? This required further study.

"Mm~"

Stelle glanced at Sol and gave a faint reply.

What kind of relationship? She didn't know.

But since Herta said so, then yes—she and Sol were in that kind of relationship.

Even if they weren't, she had to make it official—she couldn't let Herta surpass her.

Sigh.

Sol extended his empty left hand and patted Stelle on the head.

Forced by the kid, he and Stelle weren't exactly in a pure friendship. He felt it was fine, having a little playful, mischievous fun together.

Since Stelle wanted it, he might as well acknowledge it.

With her personality, she would play her way, anyway.

"Hehe~"

Stelle couldn't help but smile, part joy, part embarrassment.

Even if Sol didn't deny liking her, she felt fully validated in her unfortunate position.

Herta frowned at Sol: "Sol, this is your fault."

She didn't care how many women Sol had—none were as beautiful as her. She had only agreed to be his girlfriend for research purposes.

But from a societal ethics perspective, multiple relationships would be more complicated.

"Are you going to abandon the deal?"

Sol didn't think so.

Herta's hand was still in his, not withdrawing at all.

"No," Herta shook her head, serious. "I mean… you have to pay more!"

Participating in multiple relationships was complicated, so Sol should give her a higher price.

"Should I give you a few more biological samples?" Sol asked tentatively.

If it were any other girl, he might have offered more companionship.

But for the genius research fanatic Herta, biological samples were the correct answer.

"Fine, no problem!"

Herta's face flushed crimson as she smiled, thinking of the value of biological samples.

Stelle pouted slightly, whispering: "So… I'm part of your play too?"

Herta raised a brow, half-smiling: "Then… you'll join too?"

She just wanted to resolve all the back-and-forth and unnecessary emotional entanglements quickly.

But she wasn't shy or timid about it at all.
