Chapter 407 - Chapter 407: The Shyness of Genius

TN: And we're back! sorry for the week long hiatus, it was not intentional since I had to get my right leg in a cast after tripping 3 floors down a stairwell (like an idiot ://) and be unable to use my PC setup upstairs BUT I should be OK now.

Anyways, Thanks for Arcanic Madness, WeissAkumu and WolfWTF for becoming as Supporters!,

"..."

Sol frowned slightly, sensing something was off.

This genius girl was treating the whole thing purely as a transaction, trying to accept reality as fast as possible.

Even if the outcome was tempting, he didn't like that mindset.

I'll have to use my full strength to correct this wrong way of thinking!

"Ah! Huh?"

Stelle stared at Herta in shock, her face quickly flushing red. "T-Together!?"

Wasn't that… that kind of hedonistic? This was way too intense for her first day!

She felt too many differences coming from Herta—every single one catching her off guard.

So, this was how a genius's brain worked? No wonder she wasn't a genius.

Stelle waved her hands repeatedly, speaking in a fluster. "My room is over there! I-I'll just stand guard for you!"

Even though she was bold, she wasn't that bold.

Three people together was still way too advanced for her.

"Oh, that works too."

Herta secretly let out a breath of relief.

Doing this together with Stelle would have been a lot of pressure for her as well.

"..."

With a complicated expression, Stelle led Sol and Herta toward her room.

When they entered the guest cabin, they ran into the conductor, Pom-Pom, who had previously been blocked outside.

Pom-Pom had arrived at the guest cabin when Herta boarded, deliberately avoiding overhearing private matters.

"Passenger Stelle, have the two honored guests finished talking, Pom?"

Pom-Pom looked at the strange atmosphere among the three, growing curious.

"Yes. The cooperation went very smoothly."

Stelle nodded solemnly, doing her best not to expose herself.

The fewer people who knew about this, the better.

Pom-Pom pointed at the three with its little rabbit paw, puzzled. "Then what are you doing now, Pom?"

"Haha!" Stelle laughed awkwardly and quickly said, "Herta and Sol wanted to take a look at my room, so I'm bringing them over~"

Sol nodded seriously. "That's right."

"I'm also a bit curious what kind of room a Stellaron inhabitant lives in," Herta said calmly, wearing a relaxed smile.

Pom-Pom spread its hands wide, proudly saying, "Oh! Then feel free to enjoy yourselves. Passenger Stelle's room is really big, Pom!"

Not long after Sol got off the train at Penacony, they had arranged a large room for Stelle, who used to live in cardboard boxes.

Everything inside was fully equipped—sure to satisfy both Sol and Herta, the distinguished Emanator guests!

"Mm~"

Stelle's expression briefly turned conflicted.

Her newly renovated room… being used by Herta and Sol for their first time.

Great. I'm looking more and more like the tragic one.

"Thanks, Conductor," Sol said, bending down to rub Pom-Pom's rabbit ears, feeling cheerful.

"Guest Sol, I already told you not to tease the conductor, Pom!"

Pom-Pom covered its ears and ran off angrily toward the observation car.

It couldn't do anything about Sol—whether being hugged and petted or lifted up and rubbed, it was completely powerless!

So infuriating, Pom!

...

Soon, guided by Stelle, the three arrived at her room.

"Not bad,"

Herta said as she touched the soft bedding, clearly satisfied. "This is premium corporate-grade furnishing. Quite tasteful."

The bed was similar to what she usually slept on—better than the one on the temporarily requisitioned exploration ship.

"Everyone helped me order it,"

Stelle replied absentmindedly, carrying a strange sense of excitement.

She was about to stand guard outside while the two of them did embarrassing things in her room.

Unaware of Stelle's thoughts, Herta smiled and said, "Go stand outside and keep watch for us. We'll finish quickly."

"Huh?"

Stelle snapped out of her daze and nodded repeatedly. "O-Okay!"

She floated out the door in a daze, giving the two one last look before closing it.

Driven by curiosity, she pressed herself against the door, standing straight and trying to listen for movement inside.

But she was destined to hear nothing.

Sol had set up a barrier to ensure no sound leaked out.

"Such refined energy manipulation. Completely different from existing isolation barriers," Herta said as she sat on the bed, sensing the extra layer enveloping the room. She was extremely curious. "What is this called?"

She tried to distract herself with other topics, so the genius wouldn't seem too nervous.

And this barrier really was worth marveling at.

"Reality Marble. The manifestation of a mental landscape,"

Sol explained casually as he walked over to Herta.

"You really are a treasure. Agreeing to this relationship with you wasn't a loss,"

Herta muttered to herself, sensing the atmosphere gradually shifting.

Suddenly, she realized Sol had already sat beside her, and her heart tightened.

Sol spoke casually. "Herta, working with you actually isn't that pleasant."

"Why?"

Herta frowned slightly, clearly dissatisfied as she looked at him. "I'm the genius Herta—both beautiful and talented! I may have gained something, but I didn't lose anything either!"

What kind of joke was this? Was building this relationship somehow a disadvantage for Sol?

Even if Sol's value was immense, her own countless achievements weren't just empty fame!

Sol shook his head. "That's not what I mean."

Herta pressed on. "Then why are you unhappy?"

Sol sighed softly and smiled. "Because you underestimated my strength."

"?"

Herta was confused.

"We won't be finishing quickly," Sol said, placing his hand on Herta's slender waist and whispering near her delicate ear. "Stelle will have to wait outside for at least two hours."

"..."

Feeling Sol's movement, Herta froze on the spot.

Wherever that hand touched, her tension spiked. A tingling sensation spread throughout her body, throwing her breathing into disarray.
