Chapter 15 - Chapter 15 Captain Luffy, I am Nami, please guide me.

As soon as Nami heard that Luffy was after the treasure, she immediately became hostile towards him.

"This is my treasure!"

"Is that so? Then let's settle it the pirate way. Let's fight. Whoever wins, it's theirs."

Luffy said casually.

Instantly, the anger in Nami's eyes vanished, replaced by a harmless smile at light speed. She waved her hand and said,

"Hehe! Why fight?"

"We found it together, so let's split this treasure evenly!"

In reality, this was Nami's inner monologue at the moment.

(Nami gnashed her teeth in anger, her sharp fangs constantly chattering.)

("Darn it, he ruined my plan.")

("Who wants to split this treasure with you?")

("He even said he wanted to fight me. You look like you could kill me with one punch. Fight, my foot!")

("Don't let me run into you again. If I do… I'll steal from you every time.")

Facing Nami's proposal to split the treasure, Luffy shook his head.

"I'm a pirate. Pirates don't share with others."

Hearing this, a flicker of disgust flashed in Nami's eyes.

She hated pirates the most.

But seeing that Luffy seemed to be alone, she wasn't as scared anymore and said,

"I say, I found this treasure first, so it's only right that I get a share, isn't it?!"

"If you don't agree, I'll scream."

"I'll attract those pirates back, and then you won't get a single Berries."

Nami brought up Arlitta's crew to intimidate Luffy, secretly pleased that Luffy would surely be scared now and would have no choice but to agree to split it with her.

However, Luffy said indifferently,

"You're talking about Arlitta, right? I've already sent her flying, and all her subordinates have fled."

"…"

The air suddenly became eerily quiet.

Nami seemed to have had her time paused.

Suddenly, as if the time button was pressed, Nami, recovering, exclaimed,

"What did you say?!"

"Arlitta is a great pirate with a bounty of 5 million Berries! You said you sent her flying?!"

Luffy didn't answer this time. There was no need to repeat a question he had already answered.

Nami also noticed that the sounds of fighting outside had indeed disappeared, which made her believe Luffy's words.

She couldn't help but glance at Luffy again. He didn't look that strong (compared to Arlitta's physique)! How did he send Arlitta flying?

But despite her confusion, she still had to face reality.

Nami forced a fake smile, carried the treasure, and walked towards Luffy, saying with a giggle,

"Hehe! I was just kidding, Mr. Luffy, please don't mind. All this treasure is yours, I don't want a single Berries."

After handing the treasure to Luffy, Nami walked towards the door, wanting to make a quick escape.

To her surprise, as she was about to pass through the doorway, Luffy extended a hand and stopped her.

Seeing herself stopped by the guy who sent Arlitta flying, Nami instantly broke out in a cold sweat.

Sure enough, this pirate wasn't going to let her go so easily.

Nami cried inwardly, thinking she might really be finished this time.

'Sorry, Nojiko.'

'Sorry, Gen.'

'Sorry, everyone.'

'I might not be able to buy back Cocoyasi Village and save everyone…'

"You're Nami, the Cat Burglar, aren't you?"

While Nami was mentally preparing her last words, Luffy's voice suddenly interrupted her.

Nami immediately stopped crying upon hearing this, looked at Luffy in confusion, and asked,

"Why do you know me?"

Luffy smiled and gave his fabricated reason.

"I heard from other pirates that there's a treasure thief who specializes in stealing pirate treasure. That must be you."

Nami was stunned for a moment. Could it be that a pirate crew she had stolen from before sent this person to get revenge?

While she was wondering, she heard Luffy continue,

"I heard those pirates say that you have a great talent for navigation."

"So, I want to invite you to join my pirate crew and be my navigator."

As soon as she heard that the other party wasn't seeking revenge, Nami's tense body immediately relaxed, and she let out a long breath.

Her eyes darted around, then she sized up Luffy, finally landing on the treasure she had just handed to him.

This guy doesn't seem like a particularly cautious person. I'll pretend to join him first, then steal the treasure when he's not paying attention.

And this guy is so strong, he must have collected a lot of treasure. I'll steal it all at once later.

'Hehehehe, I'm going to make a fortune this time.'

Nami chuckled inwardly, glancing at Luffy, and couldn't help but think to herself,

'What an idiot. He knows I'm a treasure thief, but he still invites me onto his ship.'

'Then I, this treasure thief, will teach you a good lesson!'

After a series of rapid mental calculations, Nami pretended to consider for a moment, then put on a reluctant, forced expression and said,

"Sigh! How unwilling!"

"But, if I don't agree to you, you definitely won't let me go, will you!"

"Since that's the case…"

"Captain Luffy, I am Nami, please guide me!"

Nami extended her fair right hand, her eyes sparkling with barely concealed cunning.

Luffy chuckled inwardly. He saw through Nami's schemes at a glance.

However, he didn't expose her but played along with Nami in this act.

He reached out and shook Nami's hand.

"Luffy!"
