Chapter 1 - New Minato

Time travel is not confined merely to the past. It extends to the future, to parallel spaces, to alternate universes—sometimes even to the same time, the same place, yet with an entirely different thread of fate.

The evening sun hung low on the horizon, glowing like blood spilled across the sky. A man with brilliant blond hair lay stretched across a tiled rooftop, eyes as blue as the deep sea, gazing lazily at the village below.

Down in Konoha, warm light glowed from the homes and shops. Trails of cooking smoke curled from chimneys, and the chatter of villagers filled the evening air. Some bought groceries, others laughed around food stalls. Two by two, or in groups of friends—it was a peaceful moment that made the village seem like a distant dream from the chaos it could so easily become.

"Incredible…" the man whispered, his gaze flickering toward the setting sun. "I really crossed into the world of Naruto… and even ended up in the body of Namikaze Minato."

But that wasn't his true name.

A month ago, he had been just an ordinary man living on Earth—his name: Wukunowa.

An office worker by day, an otaku by heart. No girlfriend, no big ambitions. But life was steady: healthy, free of disaster, with kind parents and a younger sister in high school whom he cared for deeply. It was an average life—but one he never thought he'd leave behind.

That was, until the day of the anime convention.

Wukunowa had taken a leave of absence just to attend. He'd been excited to see cosplays, buy limited-edition merch, and immerse himself in the world of his favorite series. But amid the crowd and colors, something unique caught his eye—an odd-looking One Piece collectible card at a small vendor's booth.

The card was unlike any he had seen before—dark crimson edges, weathered paper, and the image of a grinning straw hat skull at the center. The inscription beneath it read:

"The Will of D: The Pirate King's Legacy."

The vendor claimed it was "just a replica" from an obscure crossover set. Intrigued and sensing something strange about it, Wukunowa bought it without hesitation.

The moment he touched it, everything changed.

The card suddenly pulsed with heat. Ancient, otherworldly letters glowed on its surface, and before he could even blink, the entire card turned into a golden light and shot straight into his forehead.

That was the last thing Wukunowa remembered.

When he awoke… he wasn't in his world anymore.

He was in the Naruto universe—inside the body of Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage.

At first, he was thrilled. Who wouldn't be? But that thrill didn't last long. As an otaku, he knew Minato's fate. He knew what this world was: a place of endless war, betrayal, and unimaginable power. The Akatsuki, the Uchiha clan, Madara, Obito… Kaguya.

Wukunowa realized this was no anime fantasy—it was a world that chewed up the weak and forgot them.

But then something strange happened.

That One Piece card—whatever it truly was—hadn't just transported him here. It had gifted him something else as well.

Powers.

Abilities.

A burning energy deep inside, unlike chakra, unlike anything he had ever felt. Over the days, as he meditated and trained in secret, Wukunowa slowly awakened to what the card had given him:

The Will of D.

And with it… the system of the One Piece world.

Haki. Devil Fruit abilities. The fighting instincts of a pirate king.

He couldn't access it all yet—but the potential was there.

"…Tch. No point worrying right now."

He sat up from the rooftop, brushing golden hair from his eyes. Then, with a calm breath, he clenched his fist.

Buzz—

A wave of invisible force pulsed from him, cracking the tiles below with a gentle boom. The air itself seemed to shift—just for a second.

Conqueror's Haki.

Still unstable. Still raw.

But real.

"…So it really wasn't a dream." A smile tugged at his lips. "Then I'll have to live like it's not."

He raised his hand into the air, and a strange ripple shimmered beside him. Not golden like in Gate of Babylon—but like the shimmer of ocean waves catching moonlight. From within, he pulled out a black bottle of sake, one that looked like it came straight off a pirate ship.

The scent of the sea mixed with the fiery bite of alcohol as soon as he uncorked it.

"I don't even know what kind of wine this is, but it feels like it came from a celebration after plundering a Marine base," he muttered with a grin. "Cheers, Gold Roger… Luffy… and now me."

He drank deeply.

The burn down his throat reminded him he was alive. The warmth in his belly reminded him that he still had choices to make.

He wasn't just Minato now.

He was Wukunowa—the man from another world, carrying the legacy of pirates into the age of shinobi.

This time, he wasn't going to repeat history.

This time, he'd rewrite it.
