Chapter 3 - The Newbie Who One-Shots Wolves

Aside from having a dual-class build, Noah's stats were already breaking the rules. Thanks to his SSS-ranked talent, Otherworldly Hero, all five of his base attributes started at a perfect 10.

Normally, beginners had stats ranging from 1 to 10, and having more than two attributes hitting the upper limit was almost unheard of. Yet here he was, a walking anomaly. An all-around warrior that no one in the Human Alliance could match.

The absurd bonuses in parentheses on his panel were from another SSS-ranked talent—Perfect Attributes, a passive ability that massively amplified every single stat he had.

Looking at his level-one character sheet, Noah couldn't help but smirk. This… this completely redefines what it means to be a beginner.

And then there were the skills. The Divine Fury Mage class came with three starter abilities already slotted in.

[Judgment Lv 1]: Ignores the target's level to mark them for divine judgment. If the target's Intelligence is lower than yours, judgment succeeds. Inflicts 'Weakened' for 5 seconds and deals 500 (+70% Magic Power) magic damage. Cooldown: 15s. Mana cost: 100.

[Retribution Lv 1]: Delivers divine punishment, ignoring all defenses and buffs to deal 800 (+200% Magic Power) magic damage. If the target is marked by Judgment, it adds Retribution bonus damage of 1000 (+300% Magic Power). Cooldown: 20s. Mana cost: 200.

[Purify Lv.1]: ???

Noah stared at the last one, baffled. "What the hell is with all the question marks? Everyone else has proper skill descriptions, and mine decides to play mysterious?"

He shook his head, lips twitching into a grin. The first two skills alone were insane—a perfect combo finisher set. Mark with Judgment, follow up with Retribution. With his current 290 Magic Power at level one, landing the full combo would melt anything in his path.

After checking through his stats, the system prompt appeared again.

"Please adjust your appearance."

Noah chuckled to himself. "Nah, this face is already perfect. Skip."

The goddess hovering in the grand temple smiled faintly as divine light surged from above. "Traveler, are you ready to step through the Star Gate and enter the Land of Divine Punishment?"

"Hell yes." Without a second thought, Noah strode forward, his body dissolving into radiant light.

In the blink of an eye, he materialized in Novice Village #1996—Nassi Farm.

The place was eerily quiet, overrun by weeds and moss. A decrepit windmill loomed against the blazing sun, creaking in the wind, as if whispering tales of the massacre that had once unfolded here.

Noah flexed his fingers, testing his movement. Every nerve in his body responded naturally, vividly real. "Damn… this feels so real."

Glancing down, he noticed that despite choosing Divine Fury Mage, he was wearing the clunky leather gear from the Warrior's starter pack. He shrugged. "Whatever. Leveling first, fashion later."

Around him, more new players spawned, flooding the area with excited chatter.

"Holy crap, is this the Land of Divine Punishment? The realism is insane, even the texture of the dirt feels real!"

"Yo, bro, watch your hands. That's my butt you're grabbing."

"Anyone got room in a party? I awakened C-Rank Earthsplitter, high damage earth skills!"

"Pretty knight looking for a reliable teammate~ Promise to stay by your side forever if you treat me right~"

Noah ignored the noise, eyes scanning the outskirts of the farm. He needed real combat data to test his damage output.

According to the lore, Nassi Farm used to be a human settlement—a safe beginner zone. That changed two hundred years ago when the Wolf Tribe launched a devastating raid, forcing humanity to abandon the area. Since then, it had been a hunting ground dominated by feral werewolves.

The player's objective was simple: cut through the wolf pack, break the siege, and push toward the next map—the Forest Kingdom.

Noah made his way out to the grassy fields, spotting a wandering werewolf.

[Werewolf]

Level: 2

HP: 250

Attack: 50

Defense: 45

Magic Defense: 50

Speed: 15

Skill: Bloodlust (Passive)

Noah raised a brow. Damn, 50 attack for a level two mob? That's nasty. Most level-one players only had 25 to 35 attack with starter gear. Breaking its defense would be a chore, let alone surviving its strikes.

But Noah wasn't like other players.

"Let's see what you can handle," he muttered, stalking toward his prey.

Nearby, a four-man party—a Warrior, Summoner, Mage, and Archer—was locked in a desperate skirmish with another level-two wolfman.

"Almost got him down, boys! Just 10% HP left, finish it!" the Warrior yelled, sweat pouring down his face as he dodged savage lunges. With no skills unlocked at level one, the three backliners were reduced to frantic basic attacks, whittling away bit by bit.

Thwack, thwack, thwack!

-3!

MISS!

-10!

The Archer finally landed a bonus hit on his seventh shot, dealing 50% true damage. It was obvious why archers were favored early on.

Then they noticed Noah—ID floating over his head as Demon-Slayer, calmly walking straight at another wolfman alone.

"Hey, you crazy or what? Run, dude!"

"That thing will shred you! Go team up first before you get killed!"

Noah didn't even glance at them. His focus stayed locked on the towering werewolf as it snarled and lunged.

"ROOOAR!"

The beast was three meters tall, its black fur slick and bristling, its claws gleaming like blades.

Noah gripped his starter sword with both hands, feet digging into the soil. As the wolfman swiped down, he sidestepped sharply, weight shifting with fluid precision, and swung in a clean arc.

CRIT!

-666!

The wolfman howled in agony, slamming to the ground with a bone-crunching thud.

[EXP +100]

[Loot acquired: Fresh Wolf Meat]

Noah blinked, looking at his blade. "Huh… that was a crit? Guess I'm even stronger than I thought."

With Descendant of the Gods boosting his damage to demonic creatures by 50% and granting +20% crit rate, even his basic attacks were brutal. Yet, even without the crit, that thing would've died in one hit.

He stared at the fallen corpse, a grin tugging at his lips. "If this is my normal swing… why waste time grinding on low-level mobs? Forget starter quests—I might as well solo a dungeon."

Farther away, the four-man party froze mid-fight, jaws slack as they witnessed Noah's one-shot kill. Their brains short-circuited.

"Was that… legit?"

"Same game, right? We're playing the same damn game?"

Their distraction cost them dearly—their wolfman turned berserk, tearing through the stunned group in seconds.

The last thing they saw before getting wiped was Noah casually strolling away, sword over his shoulder, as if he hadn't just broken every rule of the game.
