Chapter 142 - Ch 142

Kagami could no longer sit still. He immediately stood up and vanished, reappearing in the laboratory within the Kamui dimension. A clone guided him to the newly manufactured infinite energy device. It was a five-meter-high cylinder, three meters in diameter, made entirely of a light blue alloy. At its top, a huge energy ball slowly rotated, emitting a dazzling light.

"Is this the infinite energy device?" Kagami asked, a little excited as he reached out and felt the powerful energy waves. With this, he no longer had to worry about energy problems.

"That's right," the clone nodded, though with a hint of regret. "However, due to material limitations, its current output is only the size of a small artificial sun. To improve it, we'll need to research new materials."

"It doesn't matter," Kagami said, already very satisfied. "It's enough for us now." An artificial sun's energy output was more than enough for the entire ninja world, and certainly enough for him to use Mahoraga and the Brain-Brain Fruit to conduct large-scale deductions.

"Very good," he said to his clone. "Immediately use the energy link device to have Mahoraga begin analyzing the will within the chakra, and then calculate a cultivation method that can erase it." This was his real purpose in creating the device. Only when he resolved the problem of the will in chakra could he truly feel at ease.

"No problem," the clone responded with a smile, summoning a program panel to put Mahoraga to work. Believing it wouldn't be long before he had a solution, Kagami left the laboratory. He decided to stop by another lab to see Orochimaru and check on his progress in cloning the Tenseigan.

He found Orochimaru standing in front of a huge culture tank filled with a light green nutrient solution. In the center, a naked person floated, their body covered in eyes—a chilling, Cthulhu-like monster. It was Itachi Uchiha. After capturing him, Kagami had let Sasuke torture him for a while before turning him over to Orochimaru as an experimental subject. To nurture a mature Tenseigan, a person of Uchiha bloodline was needed as a host, and Itachi had been the best candidate.

Kagami felt no sympathy. Itachi had chosen to massacre his clan; now he was paying the price. Using his body to clone the Tenseigan was simply a waste-utilization measure.

"Orochimaru, how is the progress?" Kagami asked.

"Sir Kagami, you're here," Orochimaru turned and bowed respectfully, his voice filled with excitement. "Thanks to the analysis from Mahoraga, the experiment is going smoothly. We have cloned a large number of Tenseigan. They should be mature in about half a month." For him, personally creating the divine eye brought immense satisfaction.

Kagami smiled. He had been waiting for this day for a long time. With a large number of Tenseigan, he could absorb their eye power and evolve Obito's Kamui Sharingan into a Rinnegan or Tenseigan. "Very good," he said. "Continue your research. If you need any resources, just ask Shikaku directly. Remember, what I want is a perfect Tenseigan. Don't let me down."

"Don't worry, Sir Kagami! I will definitely not let you down!" Orochimaru said confidently.

"Do you still need to study the Ten-Tails?" Kagami asked. He had given it to Orochimaru to research, but now that so much time had passed, he believed Orochimaru had likely finished his analysis. He planned to return the Ten-Tails to Kaguya, its original owner.

"I have almost completely analyzed the Ten-Tails' data through Mahoraga," Orochimaru shook his head. "It has no further research value for me. However, if you want to cultivate the Tenseigan, you still need it to provide chakra and eye power."

"In that case, let's leave the Ten-Tails here for now," Kagami decided. He would ask Kaguya if she wanted it back.

After giving Orochimaru a few more research items, Kagami left the Kamui dimension. He went straight to Kaguya, who was chatting and playing games with the other women, and asked her if she wanted the Ten-Tails back.

Kaguya thought about it and shook her head decisively. "No, I don't need the Ten-Tails now." With Kagami's protection, she no longer ne

eded its power. And knowing that the will of the Ōtsutsuki God was contained in its chakra, she was even more resistant to the idea. She had no intention of taking the Ten-Tails back into her body.
