Chapter 5 - Forget Liam, her standards were higher (2)

Aurora didn't expect him to grab the mental soap dispenser.

Now pressed against his broad chest, she felt helpless. She placed her hand pressed against his chest and tried to push herself back, but whatever she did was fruitless.

"Let me go." She struggled.

Blonde held her face and tried to press his lips to hers. She turned her face to the side.

"Stay still before I hit you." He said.

She kicked him hard on his legs, but it didn't have much impact. "Let me go." She cried.

He held both sides of her face and leaned down. Aurora closed her eyes and pressed her lips together.

Now that he had let go of her waist, Aurora kicked him hard between his legs.

Blonde released her face, letting out a loud painful scream.

Aurora ran towards the door, "Help," she banged on the door, wishing someone would come and help her.

She held on to the lock and pulled on it.

The blonde man moved towards Aurora before she could fully open the door.

He grabbed a handful of her hair and yanked it. "It seems you don't like it soft." He pushed her a few feet away from the door.

Aurora felt her entire body go weak, "I'm warning you, if you-"

"Go on, scream, let's see if anyone would-"

Bang!

The door pushed open with great force cutting Blonde's words short. A tall man in fitted black suit and black valden noir stepped in.

Blonde paused, startled, he turned. He raised a brow, wondering how the man had broken down the door.

Earlier, Aurora had almost opened the lock, making it easy for Slade to break down the door.

"What the hell…" The blonde man bit down on his lips, angry that his fun had been interrupted.

He let go of Aurora's hair and stood face to face with the new intruder, "How did you even-"

"Touch her again, and I'll ensure you never use those hands." His voice is low but firm, commanding attention.

There was a shift in the air as Slade took another step forward, locking eyes with the blond man.

Blonde felt his legs weaken, the appearance of this man was… He shook his head, unable to describe it in words.

Everything about this man screamed wealth and power. Like he could strangle him without lifting a finger.

But he was a man, so he had to hold his ground.

He puffed out his chest, "and if I do-" Slade's fist collided with his face knocking his head to the side. He hates repeating himself.

Blonde felt a metallic taste in his mouth. He spat out blood.

Before he could wrap his head around what was happening, he was pulled by his shirt. Slade pushed him to the door.

"Walk out right now," Slade began, "and keep walking. If I ever see you in this bar or anywhere else, you won't have the luxury of walking."

Blonde picked himself up from the floor and without looking behind, scurried away. If he knew this petite lady had someone so powerful backing her he would never have gone close to her. He should have known she was too pretty and hot to be alone.

Slade turned to Aurora who had collapsed against the wall. His expression softened. "Are you alright?" He asked leaning down to meet her eyes.

Aurora raised her head, "Maybe, I…" she rose to her feet. The entire room spun and her legs gave up.

She swayed to the side, Slade reached out and caught her before she fell, wrapping one hand around her waist.

"Hey, easy there." he steadied her. "Can you walk?" He questioned releasing his hold on her.

"I think so," Aurora said. Her head was heavy, and her eyes were beginning to be weak. She wanted to sleep. She attributed this to the glasses she drank earlier.

He let go of her fully, but just then, Aurora's eyes fluttered closed, and she fell forward. Her head hit his chest. Slade quickly wrapped one hand around her.

He placed his hand on her shoulder gently shaking her. "Hey, are you okay?" She didn't respond.

"Are you with someone?" He studied her.

'Did she fall asleep?' He wondered.

He was tempted to walk off and leave her there. He didn't.

She seemed too fragile and weak. What if another jerk comes and tries to take advantage of her?

He decided it would be best if he just dropped her off at home. He took off his blazer and wrapped it around her shoulders.

He carried her in a bridal style and walked out of the restroom.

Aurora wrapped her hand around his neck. Pressing her body into his. She buried her nose in the nook of his neck and inhaled sharply before letting out the breaths slowly.

Her movement made Slade think she was awake. "I'll drop you off, I just need your address." He said, walking back in the direction he came from.

The empty hallway is lit by a dim yellow bulb hanging from the ceiling.

"Sir, I thought you-" Slade's P.A., Nicholas began but paused when he saw the stranger his boss held. He pushed his round trimmed glasses up the bridge of his nose.

He knew better than to ask questions. Behind him, Mr. Andrew, the owner of the bar appeared.

He let out a breath when he saw Mr. Wellington.

Slade had walked out of the private booth a few minutes after he was welcomed in.

At first, they thought he went to use the restroom, but when he didn't return after a few minutes they went out to look for him.

The restroom was empty.

Mr. Andrew could only assume that Slade had left, and this almost made him lose his mind.

Did he blow his chances of having the esteemed Mr. Wellington at his bar?

"Will you just keep staring at me?" Slade asked.

Nicholas walked forward uttering apologies. He extended his hand, trying to take the stranger from Slade.

However, Aurora refused to let go of Slade. She clung to him like her life depended on him.

Seeing that she wasn't going to let him go, Slade had no choice but to hold her himself.

"Prepare the car, we're leaving." Nicholas bowed slightly and walked away.

Slade wasn't sure what to do about this stranger yet, but one thing was certain.

He would not be investing in this bar in any way.
