Chapter 4 - chapter 6

(The Confrontation)

Greta's heart was racing as Alexander approached her. She knew she had been caught, and she didn't know how to explain herself. Victor, sensing the tension, slipped away, leaving Greta alone with Alexander.

"Greta, what are you doing here?" Alexander repeated, his voice firm but controlled.

Greta took a deep breath, trying to think of an explanation. But before she could say anything, Alexander's eyes landed on the package in Victor's hand.

"What's going on?" Alexander asked, his voice dropping to a growl.

Victor hesitated, looking at Greta uncertainly. "I think you should talk to her about this, boss," he said, handing Alexander the package.

Alexander opened the package, revealing the cash inside. His eyes narrowed, and he turned to Greta. "Who gave you this package?" he asked, his voice cold.

Greta swallowed hard, knowing she had to tell the truth. "Sophia," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Alexander's expression darkened. "Sophia?" he repeated. "What did she tell you?"

Greta hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. But something about Alexander's expression told her that he already knew more than he was letting on.

"She told me she would reveal the truth about my past if I delivered the package," Greta said, her voice firm.

Alexander's eyes flashed with anger. "You shouldn't have done that, Greta," he said, his voice low and menacing. "You don't know what you're getting yourself into."

Greta felt a surge of fear. What did Alexander mean? And what was she getting herself into?

As Alexander turned to leave, Greta grabbed his arm. "Wait," she said. "I deserve to know what's going on. What's in the package, and why did Sophia want me to deliver it?"

Alexander's expression softened slightly, and he looked at Greta with a mixture of frustration and concern. "I'll tell you everything," he said. "But not here. Let's get out of here, and I'll explain everything."

Greta nodded, feeling a sense of relief. She knew she had to trust Alexander, at least for now.

As they left the café, Greta couldn't shake off the feeling that she was in over her head. What secrets was Alexander hiding, and what would she learn about her past those were the only things running in her head.
