Eighteen years ago, the Blood Creek Pack was attacked by a neighboring pack and lost half the lives of its members.

 

Xavier, the current Alpha of Blood Creek Pack, was six years old when this attack took place. He lost his family and close friends along with his best friend, Daphne, who he thinks died in the attack.

 

What happened when he goes back for revenge and finds out that Daphne is still very much alive? Also, she happens to be his mate and he just killed her adoptive father.

I looked out through the window in my bedroom, the sun had already started to travel down the horizon. 


It was evening and the presence of the night will soon be upon us. I scurried out of the bed that I laid on and rushed out towards the door.


I didn't need to be told, today was the day Xavier along with some of his men will be heading to the forest in search of the plant that was rumored to be the cure to the ailment of one of his men.


I was tired of staying within the four walls of the pack so I sought this as an opportunity to step outside. Shutting the door gently after me, I looked around the hallway, it was unusually quiet and empty.


My brows creased into a frown as I thought it was surprising to see no guard standing around my room. 


On a normal day, I'd see about two of them standing guard at my door in a bid to stop me from running away. Could this mean that Xavier was beginning to trust me?
