Naruto's expectant gaze and the intense look from Teuchi, the ramen chef, left Boruto with no choice but to pick up his chopsticks.
"Well then… I'll start."
Sitting beside him, Sasuke was visibly uncomfortable. After all, he had just finished a full breakfast prepared lovingly by his mother that morning, and now his stomach was already uncomfortably full—he could feel it pressing up into his throat.
Staring at the enormous bowl of Ichiraku Ramen in front of him, he asked himself in despair:
What the hell am I supposed to do now?
—
More than half an hour later, Sasuke and Boruto staggered out of Ichiraku, leaning against the wall for support as they pushed open the curtain and exited.
Naruto walked behind them, patting his stomach with a huge grin on his face.
"You guys are hopeless. That tiny little body of yours can't even handle a basic meal like that."
"I'm only seventy percent full! If we didn't have training after this, I'd go for another bowl!"
Boruto forced a pained smile.
"Guess I'm just weak… wouldn't be smart to overeat before physical activity."
—
"Alright, now that breakfast's done, let's get to training!"
Sasuke tried to keep a straight face, acting like everything was fine, but in truth, he could already see stars in his vision. Still, he managed to walk forward alongside the others.
The four of them—Sasuke, Boruto, Naruto, and Jiraiya—headed down the street, flashed their shinobi credentials to the guards at Konoha's main gate, and left the village. They walked for over ten kilometers before stopping in a wide, empty clearing scattered with enormous boulders.
"Perfect. We'll train here," Jiraiya declared. "This used to be one of Konoha's old quarries. The leftover rocks are great for testing out ninjutsu."
"And we won't have to worry about damaging the environment or bothering civilians."
Naruto dropped his bags to the ground with a loud thud and raced to the center of the field, waving excitedly at Boruto.
"( #`O′) Oi! Let's have a ninjutsu match first! That way I can get a feel for your strength!"
Boruto's eyes lit up, bursting with energy the moment Naruto spoke. His heart surged with anticipation.
"Coming!"
This was the version of his father from his childhood—a version he'd never had a chance to meet in his own world. This was the kind of moment he'd never thought he'd get.
Now's the time to show him what I'm made of.
The two walked toward each other, performed the seal of confrontation, and prepared for battle.
Sasuke and Jiraiya, seated on a tree root off to the side, watched intently with interest flickering in their eyes.
"Sasuke," Jiraiya said, "who do you think is stronger—Boruto or Naruto—at this age?"
Sasuke watched the boys exchange blows in close combat. Though he didn't show it outwardly, his loyalty was clear.
"…I think Boruto will win."
Jiraiya chuckled, clearly backing his own pupil.
"That Boruto kid's your disciple, huh? You can see the Uchiha-style footwork and strikes in his taijutsu."
"But as Naruto's master, I can't sit back and admit defeat, either. My money's on Naruto."
Both men stayed firm in their convictions, watching proudly as their students clashed again and again, blow for blow.
Eventually, Naruto and Boruto broke apart, panting and bruised from their physical exchange, but still standing strong.
"You're pretty good," Naruto said between heavy breaths.
"Of course," Boruto replied with a smirk. "I was trained by my master, after all."
"Then I can't afford to lose!" Naruto grinned wide. "Because for me, Ero-Sennin is the best teacher ever!"
"Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
As Naruto finished the seals, dozens of shadow clones burst into the field, instantly surrounding Boruto.
Boruto's eyes widened.
Holy crap… How much chakra did Dad have as a kid?!
In his own time, Naruto's shadow clones always looked drained—like they were constantly running on fumes. But here? As a kid? He was overflowing with chakra.
Were all the future clones running on fumes just for show?!
"Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
Bang bang bang bang~!
Three shadow clones of Boruto appeared around him—but they were quickly overwhelmed by Naruto's army.
Still, Boruto didn't panic. Each of his clones immediately began weaving their own hand seals.
"Lightning Style: Thunder Arrow!"
"Wind Style: Splitting Sky Palm!"
"Water Style: Wave Surge!"
A roaring storm of wind, lightning, and high-pressure water burst forth, merging into a surging elemental tide crackling with electricity.
The torrent ripped through the field, obliterating all of Naruto's shadow clones in one swoop.
But in that moment, Boruto's clones also vanished—chakra spent.
Now only Boruto and Naruto remained, facing each other across the battlefield.
Naruto looked stunned.
"You know three different nature transformations? You're not just skilled—you're crazy talented…"
"In that case, I'll have to pull out my trump card!"
"Bring it on!" Boruto shouted, eyes gleaming.
The two dashed toward each other, closing the distance at blinding speed. Just before they collided, they stopped short—then raised their hands, forming the same hand signs with smirking faces.
Bang~!
A huge cloud of smoke exploded out from between them, engulfing the surrounding area in a thick mist that spread five or six meters in every direction.
They were gone—hidden in the haze.
Sitting on the sidelines, Jiraiya's eyes went wide.
He immediately knew what was coming.
His face turned red. His nostrils flared, breath quickening, and he raised both hands in front of him like he was grabbing air.
"Oooohhh…!"
Sasuke turned his head away in exasperation, already regretting his life choices.
"These two idiots…"
"Harem Jutsu!"
"Harem Jutsu!"
The swirling mist parted like curtains, revealing several stunning young women in barely-there white bikinis with crimson stripes across their tops and thin red-and-white silk sashes tied around their hips, barely covering their curvy, full figures.
Golden hair flowed down their backs, cascading over flawless, snow-white shoulders and backs. With a seductive gleam in their eyes, they raised a single hand to their lips, gently tapping with their index finger in a teasing pose.
Among them were also several twin-tailed blonde girls, their modesty barely maintained by carefully positioned clouds. Their movements made certain parts of their bodies bounce dangerously, threatening to break free of the mist with every breath.
A battalion of sultry, voluptuous women and cute, innocent-looking girls with twin ponytails now stood before Jiraiya, swaying gently in the summer air.
"YES!! That's it! THAT'S what I'm talking about!"
"What a magnificent battle!!"
"I recognize you both—you're outstanding shinobi!"
Jiraiya cheered enthusiastically as blood gushed freely from his nose, dripping to the forest floor. ( ̄tt ̄)
The jutsu was finally released, and the sexy illusion faded.
Naruto and Boruto stood face to face, both looking awkward, scratching the backs of their heads.
Naruto chuckled, then gave Boruto a big thumbs-up.
"Yosh! I didn't expect you to come up with such an awesome version of the Harem Jutsu. It's different from mine, but it works!"
"I approve of you!"
