"Wait—why am I the one getting kicked out? This is my place!"
Standing in the living room, Eriri was completely bewildered.
Bang!
She spun around and yanked open her bedroom door.
"Wh-wh-wh—"
The sight of Edgar and Akemi Miyano inside hit her like a head-on collision.
This… this was her room!
"Sorry, Eriri… we're just going to borrow it for a bit."
Eriri's whole body trembled. She was swaying on her feet like she might just topple over.
"Then… what am I supposed to do?" she blurted out without thinking.
"Hm?"
Akemi looked up, blinking innocently. "Isn't there a sofa in the living room?"
She tilted her head, lips curling into a teasing smirk. "Or… have you already decided you want to train with me to get stronger, faster?"
Eriri's eyes went glassy. Her brain completely crashed.
Together?Too… too much.
Night fell.
Eriri was curled up on the sofa.
At least she wasn't that tall, so it was just big enough.
But…
Wasn't the noise a bit too loud?
She pulled the blanket over her head, her face burning.
The moment she shut her eyes, all she could picture was Akemi with their Master.
How was she supposed to sleep with that playing in her head?
"Ugh… If I'd known it'd turn out like this, I should've just booked a hotel."
She kept shifting restlessly, body feeling like it was on fire.
She had no idea how long it took before her thoughts finally blurred into sleep.
By morning, Eriri was a wreck—dark circles under her eyes, listlessly picking at her bento.
She shot a resentful glare toward Akemi, who was just coming downstairs.
"Why don't you eat in the living room?" Eriri muttered.
"Because I'm this close to leveling up," Akemi replied with a blink and a smile, grabbing two reheated bentos.
She was a bit worn out and needed to replenish her strength.
"Oh, and lunch is your turn, okay?"
Leaving that behind, she staggered off again.
Opportunities were for those prepared to grab them—she wasn't going to waste a chance to close the gap between herself and the others.
"…," Eriri just stared, chopsticks slipping from her fingers.
It was nearly four in the afternoon when Edgar finally emerged, looking fresh and satisfied, with Eriri and Akemi in tow.
"Master, where are we going?"
"My villa," Edgar said casually. "From now on, that's your place."
"Huh?"
Eriri froze mid-step, glancing nervously at Akemi.
If every night was going to be like last night… she wasn't going to survive.
Sensing her thoughts, Akemi chuckled. "Relax. I can't keep up with Master's special training every day."
"Good." Eriri exhaled hard in relief.
"But there's still Shiho and the others," Akemi added lightly. "Might want to work on your sleep stamina."
They?
Eriri instantly tensed again. "Master… did you seriously start a harem?"
Edgar nodded, expression saying you're only figuring this out now?
Eriri: "…"
Her Master was basically the devil of lust.
A few minutes later, Edgar suddenly snapped his fingers.
Vrrrm!
A strange shimmer flickered through the air.
"A repelling barrier?" Akemi frowned.
Edgar didn't answer, just spoke calmly: "You've been tailing me long enough. Don't you think it's time you came out?"
His voice carried down the empty, silent street.
"No? Still hiding?"
With a flick of his finger, a blast of magic shot out.
Boom!
A distant alley exploded, and two figures leapt out through the dust, bounding off walls with fluid agility before landing in the street.
The first was a tall, curvy girl with shoulder-length pale blue hair, dressed in a white robe and wielding a weapon almost as tall as she was.
The second also wore a white robe—a brunette with twin pigtails.
Both eyed Edgar warily. The twin-tailed girl spoke first.
"As expected of a demon. Planning to take us out right here?"
"Careful, Irina," her partner, Xenovia, warned in a low voice. "He's a high-class demon. Don't underestimate him."
"Don't put it like that. If I wanted you dead, you wouldn't have survived my first shot."
Edgar smiled faintly at the two girls. "You were tailing me. I just thought I'd give you a little lesson."
"Hmph. As a servant of the Lord, I should have granted you the mercy of purification," Xenovia said coldly. "But we have other business today, so I'll let it go."
They turned to leave—but froze almost instantly.
An unseen pressure crushed down on them, stealing their breath.
The sheer terror clawing up their spines made them sweat and tremble.
This man…
The information they'd been given was wrong. There was no way he was just a high-class demon.
Run. Run. Run.
No hesitation, no words—they bolted, bodies blurring into afterimages.
"Did I say you could leave?" Edgar's voice was calm, almost bored.
Two chains shot out like giant snakes, wrapping around them.
Thud! Thud!
They hit the ground hard and were dragged back to his feet.
"Akemi… isn't this a bit much?" Eriri whispered.
"They disrespected Master," Akemi said with a small pout.
Not only had they followed him, they'd also mouthed off about "purifying" him.
If they hadn't been cute girls, Master probably would've blasted them to pieces already.
"You think you can offend me and then run? That's a little naive."
Edgar stepped forward, tilting their chins up.
Strong, beautiful faces stared back at him—just his type.
Who knew going home could lead to such a pleasant surprise?
"..."
