Chapter 103 - Tang Yuehua

Chapter 103: Tang Yuehua

Yu Luomian's mouth curled up as he fanned the flames. "Yes, Big Brother. He had already joined Spirit Hall when he left the clan at seventeen. No wonder he was so fearless about the clan expelling him. It seems he planned to betray us from the very beginning. It's highly possible he caused such trouble for the clan under Spirit Hall's instruction, as a way to curry favor with them."

"Impudent! Rebellious son!" Yu Yuanzhen was furious, and the entire palace seemed to tremble. "Pass down the order: from now on, that beast is not allowed to step into the clan again! Let him fend for himself!"

"Yes, Big Brother," Yu Luomian said, turning to leave with a hint of sinister cunning on his lips. My dear nephew, he thought, if you must blame someone, blame yourself for offending the Supreme Pontiff.

Compared to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan and the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, the atmosphere in the Clear Sky Clan was much more serious.

"Clan Master, now that the Old Clan Master is not here, that old dragon of the Blue Lightning Clan is eyeing us covetously, and the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan now has two Titled Douluo! This Sect Competition is extremely disadvantageous for us!"

"That's right, Clan Master! That old dragon has already declared that they want to seize the title of World's Number One Sect from us! It's too arrogant! Do they think our Clear Sky Clan has no one?"

The six Spirit Douluo Elders of the Clear Sky Clan were as anxious as ants on a hot pan, arguing incessantly. Ever since Tang Chen had left, although the Clear Sky Clan was still the World's Number One Sect, its strength was a shadow of its former self. Rising stars like the Clear Sky Twin Stars had appeared, but neither had fully matured yet. The current Clan Master, Tang Tian, also lacked the talent to inherit the title of Clear Sky Douluo and learn the Spirit Ring Detonation technique.

The pressure was immense. It wasn't that Tang Tian, at level 95, would necessarily lose a one-on-one fight. Rather, the Clear Sky Clan absolutely had to win. Even a draw would mean losing their position as the World's Number One Sect and jeopardizing the Clear Sky Hammer's status as the World's Number One Tool Spirit, especially with Sword Douluo's Seven Kills Sword also in the running.

"Silence," Tang Tian said in a deep voice.

The grand hall instantly fell silent. "No matter what," he continued, "this old man will preserve the Clear Sky Clan's honor this time, even if it costs me my life."

"Clan Master, do you mean to...?" All the Elders were horrified. Two words appeared in their minds: Spirit Ring Detonation.

"Clan Master, you mustn't!" the Second Elder pleaded. "Our clan still has Hao'er and Xiao'er. We can wait for the next competition to reclaim our honor!"

He understood the drawbacks of the Great Sumeru Hammer all too well. While it endowed the Clear Sky Hammer with immense power, the user risked being consumed by the backlash. Although Tang Tian was a level 95 Titled Douluo, he was simply not strong enough to withstand it.

"There's no need for more discussion. My mind is made up," Tang Tian said firmly. "The honor of the Clear Sky Clan cannot be destroyed in my hands."

The scene fell silent again. No one tried to persuade him further. They knew that once lost, their reputation as the World's Number One Sect would become an unwashable disgrace.

"Clan Master, should we notify Xiao'er and Hao'er, who are out training?" the Second Elder asked hesitantly.

"How many years have they been out?" Tang Tian's solemn expression softened considerably at the mention of his sons.

"Almost four years. There are still six years until the ten-year period you set."

"Send a message," Tang Tian decided. "Hao'er is the successor of the Clear Sky Douluo. Observing this competition will be beneficial for both of them."

Just then, a light, clear voice broke the oppressive atmosphere. "Dad, Uncles, what are you all doing?"

The sound of high heels echoed as a graceful young figure walked in. She was a girl of about fifteen or sixteen with a face like an exquisite Barbie doll. Her waist-length, sky-blue hair cascaded like a waterfall, and her conservative snowy-white dress could not conceal her slender figure. Strangely, there seemed to be no spirit power fluctuations on her body.

"Yuehua," Tang Tian's wrinkled face broke into a gentle smile. "Your uncles and I are discussing the Sect Competition."
