Chapter 3: Wedding and Becoming King
As Kael and the Princess left, a collective sigh of relief swept through the Royal Guard. The soldiers immediately began to whisper, and the title "Demon Son-in-Law" started to spread rapidly.
While the soldiers were clearing the corpses, the nobles, who were second only to the Outlook family, received reports from their informants. They were terrified and vowed never to provoke this "Demon Butcher." They knew the fate of the Outlooks and the five hundred Royal Guards who had been slaughtered.
Many nobles had previously suspected the Outlook and Sterry families of the King and Prince's mysterious deaths, but they had not dared to act. Now, Princess Sally had returned with a new fiancé and launched a swift and brutal power struggle. The powerful Outlook family had crumbled overnight. It seemed Princess Sally had discovered their conspiracy. Life truly was unpredictable.
The next day, the court palace of the Goa Kingdom was silent. The smell of blood still lingered. Princess Sally, the sole heir, angrily condemned the Outlook family for murdering the King and the Prince. She sentenced them to complete extermination. The Royal Guard had already raided Outlook III's mansion, seizing countless riches.
After settling the Outlook family's affairs, Princess Sally officially introduced Kael to everyone, announcing him as her fiancé and the future King of the Goa Kingdom. The ministers and nobles, who had heard about the rebellion, were intimidated. Even if they were unconvinced, they dared not object, fearing they would be next.
With the Princess's endorsement, Kael officially ascended from a commoner to the future King. He was also appointed Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Guard and the King's Army, seizing control of the nation's military. This massive shift in power would take time for the kingdom's elite to accept.
That evening, in the Royal Palace bedroom, Kael and Princess Sally lay together.
"Kael, our wedding has been moved up to one week from now," Sally said, nestled in his arms. Her fingers traced circles on his chest.
"Is my hero already so eager to become King?" she teased.
Their union was a compromise of power and strength. Raised on noble etiquette, Sally would never have considered a common warrior. But with her father and brother gone, she found herself drawn to Kael's strength, feeling a sense of security she had never known. She had fallen in love with the brutal "demon," a story straight out of a novel.
"I want to build the Goa Kingdom into the first empire of the East Blue," Kael said with a slight smile. He gently caressed her back. The passion they shared was undeniable.
"The first empire of the East Blue?" Sally's eyes lit up. This was a dream even her father hadn't dared to entertain. Her father's greatest achievement was making the kingdom "the most beautiful in the East Blue" and receiving praise from the Celestial Dragons. He had once envied the Vinsmoke Family's Germa Kingdom, which had ruled the North Blue for 66 days, but the Goa Kingdom's military was simply too weak. They couldn't even command their own hero, Marine Vice Admiral Garp, who only returned to clear out pirates occasionally.
"Do you want to be the Empress of the Empire?" Kael asked, his ambition clear. Sally's eyes filled with admiration and adoration. With passion high, their "war" resumed.
One week later, the news of the royal wedding and Kael's coronation barely spread beyond the East Blue. Such a small event didn't even make it into the World Economic News newspaper.
Marine Vice Admiral Garp, a prominent figure from the Goa Kingdom, did not return for the ceremony. The invitation sent to Marineford was ignored. The one sent to Windmill Village was used by Luffy to make paper airplanes. Ever since Ace left to become a pirate a year ago, Luffy had been spending more time at Makino's tavern, waiting for news about his brother.
In the Royal City, lanterns and banners decorated every street. Amid the congratulations of countless nobles and foreign ambassadors, Kael and Princess Sally officially married and ascended the throne.
"Congratulations, Your Majesty!"
"Congratulations, Queen!"
"May the Goa Kingdom prosper!"
Holding Queen Sally's hand, Kael looked down at his new subjects from the throne. He was a king now, and he couldn't hide his excitement. In less than two months, he had gone from nothing to the pinnacle of power, proving that transmigration could be a comfortable path.
Seven days later, the grand ceremonies concluded. Kael and Queen Sally took full control of the kingdom. However, Kael's primary focus was on his cultivation. He intended to train Sally to become a powerful queen in her own right, knowing that power without strength was fragile.
One day, after finishing his training, Kael met with Sally in the palace's administrative office.
"Don't be angry; it's just that Garp didn't come," Kael said.
"But Vice Admiral Garp is a Marine hero, the face of the Goa Kingdom. His absence made us lose face," Sally complained.
"Face is something you earn," Kael replied. "Since Garp didn't give us face this time, I'll 'repay' him well in the future."
"Don't be impulsive," Sally warned. "Vice Admiral Garp is not to be trifled with."
Kael and Sally looked at the guest list and gift situation for this wedding and coronation ceremony. Sally had a small complaint about Garp and made a mental note of it.
