Chapter 25 - Chapter 24

"Whatever I feel for Sky feels wrong..."

Nani's voice trembled, soft but heavy with emotion. "I feel like I shouldn't feel anything for him."

Each word struck like a dagger.

To Sky's heart, who was just outside the window, He stood frozen, listening to what Nani was saying. His grip on the lunch tray tightened until his knuckles paled.

"He's not good for me," Nani continued. "He's everything wrong."

That one word shattered something inside Sky.

He couldn't take another word.

Without hesitation, he stormed toward the trash can near the staircase and threw the plate of food into it with a violent thud. The sharp clatter of plastic and metal echoed across the hallway. A few students nearby turned, startled. Sky didn't care.

His jaw clenched. His chest ached with sadness, and that pained him even more

"I know all this," Nani whispered tearfully, voice cracking as his fingers curled into the fabric of his trousers. "But I don't know why the hell I love him. I really want to stop feeling for him... but I don't think I can. Phi... he hurts me."

He looked up at Win, eyes glistening, his pain laid bare.

Win reached forward, gently wiping a tear from his cheek. His smile was warm but tired, his heart quietly breaking behind it.

"It's okay." His tone was light, teasing but sincere. "I'm here for you. If you need anything, hell, if you want to run away, just come to me. I'll hide you."

It made Nani smile a little, even if only for a moment.

---

The bell echoed loudly through the building, snapping the silence. Students began filing back into the hallways.

Win stood and offered Nani one last gentle look. "You'll be okay," he said quietly, before heading to his own class, Sky's class.

Sky was already seated when Win walked in. His eyes followed Win like a dark, seething, unblinking shadow.

Win glanced briefly at him. He was certain that Sky had been standing by the window moments ago. He'd seen him. And knowing Sky, he must have heard at least most of that conversation.

But what was strangely unnerving was that Sky didn't say a word.

He didn't pick a fight.

Didn't even move from his seat.

He just sat there, eyes locked on Win with such raw, silent rage it made Win's shoulders tense as he passed.

Sky wasn't calm.

He was quiet the way a loaded gun is quiet.

And Win knew the silence was more dangerous than the yelling.

Not for him but for Nani.

---

"I'm not good for him."

Sky's jaw tightened as he sat there, eyes fixed ahead but mind replaying Nani's words.

"He loves me... and yet he talks about me like I'm poison."

He could still see Nani's expression, tear-stained, open, vulnerable, with Win.

It made him sick.

He gave those tears to someone else. He let someone else wipe them away.

And not him, not the person who held him, touched him, kissed him.

"You said you loved me."

"You let me inside you."

And yet you run to someone else to fall apart.

Sky's nails dug into the desk. His eyes flicked briefly to Win again, watching the way he adjusted his seat, how calm he looked. How smug.

Win thinks he's winning.

Sky's chest burned.

He wanted all the parts of Nani, not just the part that moans on his bed.

After school, as Nani stepped out of the gate, his eyes scanned the parking lot. Sky's car wasn't there. A sharp sting pierced his chest. He'd told Sky not to wait, sure. But he didn't think Sky would actually listen.

The silence that followed was deafening. No texts. No missed calls. Not a single message to remind him to take his meds. Just days ago, Sky had been everywhere, touching, watching, obsessing, taking care of him like Nani was something delicate... his. And now? Nothing.

Nani told himself it was fine. He needed the space. Maybe Sky did too. But deep inside, he wasn't okay.

Days dragged on. Still, Sky didn't reach out. And Nani, despite the tight ache blooming in his chest, refused to break first. Two can play this game, he told himself as he scrolled past Sky's number again and again. Maybe Sky was tired of him. Maybe the possessiveness had burned out, and Nani was nothing but a fading thrill.

So he swallowed the ache. Bit down on the urge to call. Let the silence stretch until it turned suffocating.

Meanwhile, Sky was unraveling. The fury in his veins was thick and volatile. He knew he couldn't see Nani not like this. If he did, he'd lose control. He'd take something from Nani that he couldn't give back. So instead, he vanished into the night's bars, clubs, anywhere loud enough to drown out the storm inside him.

He drank recklessly. Hooked up with strangers. Tried to fuck the need out of his system, but it never worked. His body didn't respond. His cock stayed stubbornly soft, no matter how willing the bodies underneath him were.

That failure left him in rage.

He lashed out with rough hands, bruised lips, and angry snarls thrown at people who didn't understand why he suddenly shoved them away mid-makeout. Why he clenched his fists like he wanted to break something.

But it wasn't their fault.

It was Nani's fault.

The fact that Sky couldn't touch anyone else, couldn't get hard unless it was him, drove him mad.

And then... after four long nights, something snapped.

At 1:03 a.m., Sky stood in Nani's room.

He didn't even remember how he got there, just that his knuckles were scraped from a fight he didn't finish, his breath reeked of alcohol, and a lit cigarette hung from his lips, trembling.

Nani was asleep. Peaceful. Vulnerable. His blanket barely clung to his waist, soft breaths escaping his parted lips.

Sky stared.

And then it hit him.

Hard.

The sight of Nani lying there, oblivious to the monster watching him, made Sky's cock throb in his pants. He was instantly painfully hard. It felt like his zipper would burst open from the sheer force of it.

He exhaled a plume of smoke above Nani's sleeping form, watching it curl and fade. His gaze was dark, hungry, and feral.

He wanted to devour him.

He wanted him to pay for all these unexplained feelings he was feeling.
