Chapter 26 - Chapter 25

Nani's soul nearly tore from his body the moment his eyes opened to a shadow looming over him.

His heart slammed into his ribs.

But then it was... Sky.

His breath hitched in confusion, not relief.

How the hell did he get in?

Nani was sure he locked the door.

"What the hell are you doing here?" His voice trembled. "How did you even get in?"

Sky didn't answer.

He pulled the cigarette from his mouth, dropped it onto the floor, and crushed it under his shoe. The hiss of it dying filled the silence between them.

Then, he spoke.

His voice was venomous.

"What the fuck was that conversation with Win about?"

Nani blinked.

"What?"

"You know what." Sky's tone was cold steel wrapped in fury. "What you said to Win during lunch. Days ago. I heard every fucking word."

Nani exhaled slowly, already exhausted. "I wasn't trying to hide it."

Sky's jaw ticked. His fists curled at his sides.

"So you meant it. All of it. That I'm wrong for you. That I hurt you. That you wish you didn't love me."

"Yes." Nani didn't flinch. "I meant every word."

Sky laughed sharply, bitterly. A sound that held no humor. He stepped closer, the floor creaking under his weight, until he stood just beside the bed. His presence was suffocating.

"So why did you tell me to fuck you then?" His voice was jagged, broken. "Was that just another way to punish yourself?"

Nani's face twisted with pain. "Don't... don't twist this on me."

"Then explain it," Sky snapped. "Because one minute you're beneath me, clinging to me like I'm the only thing keeping you alive, and the next, you're crying to Win about how much you hate me."

"Because I do!" Nani's voice cracked like glass. "I hate what you do to me. I hate how you make me feel. I hate that you take everything good in me and twist it until I don't recognize myself."

Sky recoiled for half a second. A flicker of pain then, it vanished. Replaced by cold fury.

"And yet you keep coming back," he hissed. "You let me ruin you again and again. Why, Nani? Why do you keep crawling back?"

"Because I'm stupid, Sky! Because some fucked-up part of me keeps hoping you'll change. But you never do. You never fucking change. You're poisonous. You make me feel worthless and wanted. All at once."

Sky's eyes darkened.

"And what about what you've done to me?" he growled. "You think I don't lie awake wishing I could cut you out of me? That I could stop needing you like this? You're in my fucking blood, Nani."

"Then stay the hell away from me!" Nani shouted, the tremble in his voice betraying his tears.

"I can't!" Sky exploded, grabbing Nani's arm and shoving him back onto the bed, pinning him against the headboard. "I fucking can't! I can't breathe when you disappear. I lose my mind every time you pull away. And then you let him," his voice cracked with rage, "you let him wipe your tears. That should've been me. Me!"

They were so close now their breaths collided hot and laced with rage and longing. The air vibrated between them.

Nani's voice broke. "You're breaking me, Sky."

Sky leaned in, his grip tightening. "You're already broken," he whispered, eyes wild. "Just like me."

Silence hung between them.

Then Sky moved even closer, so close that Nani could taste the whiskey and smoke on his breath. It wasn't just lust in his eyes. It was possession. Madness. Need.

"I don't care if you hate me," he murmured. "But you're not his. You were never his. You're mine. And I won't let anyone take you from me."

Nani's breath hitched.

Sky's grip on Nani's arm tightened, his thumb pressing against Nani's skin like he was trying to leave a mark. Something that would remind Nani of whom he belonged.

"You're mine," he whispered again, his voice ragged, half-broken, half-starved. "Say it."

Nani's chest rose and fell with erratic breaths, heart thudding so loudly he swore Sky could hear it. His body trembled not from fear, but from the intensity that rolled off Sky, the heat and chaos and desperate need.

He didn't speak.

Sky didn't wait.

He crushed his mouth against Nani's with a hunger that was punishing. Their teeth clashed. It wasn't a kiss; it was a claim. Nani gasped into it, but Sky didn't give him time to breathe. He devoured every sound Nani made, forcing his tongue past his lips, owning his mouth the way he always did, reckless, rough, demanding.

Clothes were nothing but obstacles.

Sky ripped Nani's shirt open, buttons flying, exposing smooth skin beneath. He dragged his lips down Nani's throat, biting into his mole, the softness there like he wanted to brand him.

Nani's head fell back against the headboard as Sky's teeth sank into his collarbone.

He whimpered.

That sound drove Sky mad.

"You fucking hate me?" Sky growled, voice shaking as he shoved Nani's legs apart. "Then hate me with your body. Hate me while I make you come so hard you forget his name. Hate me while I ruin you."

"Sky..." Nani tried to speak, but his voice dissolved into a moan as Sky's hand slid down between his legs, cupping him through the thin fabric.

"Already hard for me," Sky snarled. "Fucking liar."

He yanked Nani's pants down with rough hands, not bothering to be gentle. Nani tried to push him away, but his body betrayed him, arching, trembling.

Sky spat into his palm and wrapped it around Nani's cock slowly, teasing strokes that contrasted with the feral hunger in his eyes.

"You gonna cry again?" Sky sneered, jerking him faster now. "Gonna run back to Win and tell him I fucked you? That I made you feel this good while you said you hated me?"

Nani choked on a moan, fists tangled in the sheets.

"Sky-fuck-don't-"

But Sky didn't listen.

He shoved his own jeans down just enough to free himself, and when the head of his cock brushed against Nani's entrance, he hissed. He was so hard it was painful. Veins bulged, tip flushed and leaking.

Nani looked up, eyes glassy with a thousand feelings at once: shame, heat, heartbreak, lust.

Sky didn't ask.

He didn't need to.

He lined himself up and, with one deep, hungry thrust, buried himself inside.

Nani's cry echoed off the walls.

"Fuck." Sky gritted his teeth, head dropping to Nani's shoulder. "So tight. Always so fucking tight for me."

He didn't move at first. Just breathed, trying not to lose control. Then his hips started moving slowly and deeply, each stroke hitting something that made Nani gasp and tremble beneath him.

"Say it," Sky growled into his ear, fucking him harder now. "Say you're mine."

Nani's nails dug into Sky's back. His legs wrapped around him on instinct.

"Say it."

"You already know," Nani whimpered. "You already fucking know"

Sky slammed into him, over and over, desperate and brutal and aching.

"Say it."

"I'm yours," Nani gasped, tears falling. "I'm yours. I'm fucking yours"

And that was all it took.

Sky snapped.

He grabbed Nani's throat not to choke, just to hold him there, and kissed him like he needed to breathe through him. His thrusts became erratic, unhinged. His whole body tensed above Nani's, muscles trembling with release.

"You should mean nothing to me," Sky groaned, hips slamming forward one last time. "But you mean a lot. I love you so fucking much it's killing me."

Nani cried out as he came between them, hot and messy. Sky followed seconds later, moaning low in his throat as he spilled inside, burying his face in Nani's neck like he could crawl inside him and stay there.

They stayed tangled like that, skin to skin, broken breaths, silent pain.

"What the fuck did I just say?"
