Chapter 141 - Chapter 141: Escape and Shipwreck (Part 2)

Boom!!!

A loud explosion shattered the calm, as the cruise ship was rocked by a violent blast.

In an instant, flames shot into the sky, thick smoke billowed, and the entire cruise ship shook violently!!

Inside the cabin, Baishi Hui held Conan, looking up at the wildly shaking ceiling, and said with a frown, "How many bombs did that guy plant on this ship?"

The bombs he had planted would, at most, only blow a few holes in the cruise ship, allowing it to slowly sink.

Vermouth had also installed bombs in other places… She clearly intended to create a deadly maritime disaster!

Baishi Hui quickly walked over to Ran and Yukiko, saying, "Quick, let's go to the deck!"

"Mhm, mhm!!" The two women nodded subconsciously, their eyes filled with terror yet also determination.

Ran quickly stood up, pulling the clearly less physically capable Yukiko, and hurried towards the deck.

Baishi Hui held Conan with one hand and Ran's hand with the other, running ahead to clear the path.

Each sway of the cruise ship nearly made him fall, but he still tried to maintain his balance, his arm tightly gripping Conan, afraid that he would drop him if he wasn't careful.

He nimbly avoided the debris falling due to the explosion, occasionally looking back at the people behind him, and loudly reminded them, "Watch your step!"

Although Yukiko was full of panic, she was also trying to keep up with everyone's pace. She tightly held Ran's arm, her eyes nervously scanning the constantly changing dangerous environment.

A wooden board from the ceiling suddenly fell from above. Baishi Hui, quick-witted, immediately pulled Ran to the side to dodge.

With a thud, the wooden board brushed past Yukiko, startling her into a pale face, and she held Ran's arm even tighter.

"Walk faster." After seeing that the two were fine, Baishi Hui quickened his pace towards the deck.

He led the way, running towards the nearby corridor. Ran and Yukiko followed closely behind, the four of them rushing through the narrow corridor.

However, the corridor was filled with thick smoke, which, like a black demon, constantly drilled into their mouths and noses.

They coughed incessantly, tears welling up in their eyes, and their vision became blurry.

Baishi Hui had to squint his eyes, feeling his way forward through the smoke based on memory.

Finally, everyone saw the exit of the cabin. Just as they were about to go out, there was another explosion, and a large burning wooden board crashed down with a bang, blocking the way.

Baishi Hui slammed on the brakes, and Ran and Yukiko also stopped, looking at the burning wooden board blocking the passage. The two exchanged glances, not knowing what to do.

"Hui… what should we do? Should we go out from another place?" Ran nervously held his hand.

"I'll try to kick it open," Baishi Hui said, raising his foot and kicking the wooden board with a thud.

However, the quality of this wooden board was surprisingly good.

Baishi Hui felt that with these powerful kicks, an ordinary person's bones would break, but it remained intact!!

"I don't believe you. Do you think you're an indestructible roadblock from a game!!" Baishi Hui didn't want to take a detour, as that would lead to more accidents.

He retreated a step and said, "Step back a bit!"

Ran and Yukiko didn't know what he was going to do, but at this moment, they chose to trust him unconditionally.

Baishi Hui stopped in front of a room door. He opened the room, motioned for the two to go in, and then handed Conan to Yukiko.

Then he took out two grenades from his pocket, pulled out the pins, threw them behind the passage, and immediately hid inside the room!

Amidst the booming explosion, there was the sound of many wood splinters flying around.

Baishi Hui came out of the room and saw that the passage had been blown open!

"Let's go!" he said, picking up Conan again and quickly leading Ran through the passage.

Yukiko was very surprised that he carried grenades with him, but now was not the time to ask questions; escaping was paramount!!

They Ran up the passage and saw the light ahead.

Yukiko's heart filled with joy, she sped up, Ran out of the passage, and arrived on the deck.

However, she saw that the previously orderly queue had now become chaotic.

Passengers who hadn't yet boarded the lifeboats were scrambling to get on, screams and shouts rising and falling, interspersed with the crew's calming voices!

After a brief moment of stunned silence, Yukiko was pulled along by Ran.

And Ran was also pulled by Baishi Hui to the hatch, forcing their way to the front of a lifeboat!

"Sir! This lifeboat is full, please queue for the next one!" A crew member quickly stopped Baishi Hui from moving forward, afraid that he would try to board the lifeboat as well.

If that happened, the lifeboat would definitely sink!

"I'm not getting on, please put this child on!" Baishi Hui said, shoving the troublesome Conan into the crew member's arms.

"This… this… okay!" The crew member hesitated for a moment, finding it difficult to refuse. Adding one child to the lifeboat was still acceptable.

"Please take care of him!" As a mother, Yukiko couldn't help but ask again.

"Don't worry, I will take this child to a safe place." The crew member gave his assurance, then boarded the lifeboat, started the engine, and left.

After watching the lifeboat depart, Yukiko finally breathed a sigh of relief. She looked at Baishi Hui and said earnestly, "Thank you, Shirashi-kun!"

"Now is not the time to say thank you!!" Baishi Hui said, picking up a scattered life jacket nearby and putting it on Ran.

"Hui, let's go over there… there are fewer people there!! The queue will be fast." Ran looked at a distant hatch and quickly said.

"No!" Baishi Hui immediately denied it, then picked up another life jacket and put it on Yukiko, saying, "Should we jump into the sea to escape?"

"Huh? Jump directly into the sea? You're not kidding, are you?" Yukiko was startled by this bold suggestion.

"Of course not kidding!" Baishi Hui quickly tied the knots tightly, saying, "If you continue to stay on the ship, you never know what other accidents might happen."

"First put on your life jackets, jump into the sea, and get as far away from the cruise ship as possible!"

"There are many lifeboats nearby, so don't worry about not being able to get on a boat later!"

The knot was tied a bit tight, causing Yukiko to let out a strange cry.

However, fortunately, the situation was urgent, and Ran didn't pay attention to these details.

She was helping Baishi Hui put on his life jacket.

This made Yukiko feel quite guilty, thinking that she was so old and still needed them to take care of her!!

"Jump!" After seeing that everyone had put on their life jackets, Baishi Hui grabbed one person with each hand and jumped directly into the sea.

Ran and Yukiko were both caught off guard, not expecting Baishi Hui to jump without even a greeting.

They exclaimed, and with a splash, they jumped into the sea, feeling a chill all over, and then the world instantly became quiet.

But very quickly, the life jackets pulled the two back to the surface of the sea!

Ran and Yukiko spat out the seawater from their mouths and noses.

Before they could even complain, the cruise ship exploded again!

Boom!!!

At that moment, it was as if the entire world was shattered.

The enormous roar exploded in their ears like thunder, followed by dense black smoke mixed with raging flames shooting into the sky.

The air blast generated by the explosion was like an invisible giant hand, fiercely pushing everything around.

Ran and Yukiko subconsciously looked at the black smoke rising from the cruise ship's deck, feeling immensely grateful for Baishi Hui's judgment!

It was a good thing they didn't turn back to the deck, otherwise, something unexpected might have happened!

"Over here! Over here!" At this moment, the two heard Baishi Hui's call.

Ran and Yukiko turned their heads and were surprised to find a yacht beside him!

Both of them were completely stunned!!

"Our luck is good, this yacht was pushed down by the explosion… hurry over." Baishi Hui casually made up an excuse and then motioned for the two to come over.

Ran and Yukiko had no time to think much and quickly swam over.

Baishi Hui successively lifted Ran and Yukiko by their bottoms, pushing them onto the yacht.

After the two women got onto the lifeboat, they worked together to pull Baishi Hui up.

"You two, quickly sit down!!" After climbing onto the yacht, Baishi Hui quickly reminded the two.

He himself quickly crawled to the operating position, his knees moving quickly on the yacht's floor, his hands skillfully manipulating various operating devices.

His eyes were fixed on the dashboard, his gaze focused and serious, and his fingers quickly pressed the start button.

With a slight roar, the yacht slowly started.

The sound of the engine was like the most beautiful music at this moment.

Baishi Hui gripped the throttle lever, pushed it forward, and drove the yacht away from the cruise ship quickly.

Ran and Yukiko sat on the yacht, their bodies still trembling slightly from the intense exercise.

Ran gripped the edge of the lifeboat seat tightly with both hands, her knuckles white from the effort.

Yukiko held her arms across her chest, as if comforting herself. Her eyes still held the terror of surviving a disaster, her lips still trembling slightly, and she occasionally looked back at the distant cruise ship, her eyes full of relief and lingering fear.

However, at this moment, she noticed something and exclaimed, "No! The cruise ship is starting to tilt, the hull is going to crash down!"

Baishi Hui looked back and saw that the cruise ship's tilt angle was getting larger and larger!

His eyelids twitched as he watched, and he loudly said, "Hold on tight, I'm accelerating!"

Saying that, Baishi Hui pushed the throttle lever all the way.

The yacht's speed increased to its maximum.

The powerful speed forced Ran and Yukiko to lower their heads, unable to lift them at all!

The acceleration lasted for less than thirty seconds before the cruise ship's hull finally crashed onto the sea surface.

At that moment, it was as if the entire ocean was enraged.

Where the hull hit the water, the seawater was violently slapped by an invisible giant hand, splashing high into the air, forming a huge curtain of water.

Immediately after, circles of white waves spread rapidly outwards from the ship's hull. These waves were like a group of galloping horses, surging powerfully, each wave carrying immense force.

And at this time, the lifeboats that had just left the cruise ship and were desperately fleeing had not yet managed to get away from the danger zone.

A huge wave roared and surged forward, like a towering wall of water.

The people on the lifeboats widened their eyes in terror, watching the wave approach, letting out desperate cries.

The wave first lifted the lifeboat violently. The lifeboat was like a leaf swaying in a strong wind, and the people on board were thrown off balance by this sudden upward thrust.

Some were instantly thrown into the air, their hands flailing helplessly, emitting desperate screams.

Others tightly clung to fixed objects on the boat, their bodies curled into a ball, their eyes tightly shut, not daring to look at the surging waves.

Then, the wave pushed the lifeboat away with overwhelming force.

The yacht where Baishi Hui was located was like a toy thrown by a giant hand, gliding rapidly on the sea surface, the hull shaking violently, and the stern leaving a long white wake on the water.

Ran and Yukiko on the yacht were tossed about, colliding repeatedly inside the boat. They hit the side of the boat, their foreheads bumping hard, and then their vision went black, and they directly fainted.
