Chapter 143 - Chapter 143 Yukiko's Initiative (Part 2)

"It feels like a dream, that we actually survived."

After Yukiko found a seat on the yacht and sat down, she recalled what had happened earlier and couldn't help but sigh with emotion!

If it weren't for Baishi Hui's decisive and resolute actions, they might have encountered an accident while still on the cruise ship.

Thinking of this, she said gratefully, "Thank you, Shirashi-kun. If it weren't for you, we might have perished!"

"You're welcome." When Baishi Hui spoke, he felt a bit guilty, after all, he was the one who blew up the ship.

But then he thought, even if he hadn't blown it up, Vermouth and the others would have!

In other words, he had inadvertently disrupted their plan.

Fortunately, he first blew up the engine room, disabling the cruise ship's power and allowing the people on board to evacuate early, otherwise, there would likely have been even more casualties!

Thinking of this, his conscience no longer bothered him.

Yukiko looked at a slightly red and swollen spot on his lower abdomen, remembered that he had been kicked by a female killer in the cabin, and quickly asked with concern, "Your lower abdomen... are you okay?"

"It's fine... it'll be better in a few days." Baishi Hui glanced at his lower abdomen. He had to admit that Vermouth was indeed formidable.

With that one kick, he couldn't help but stumble back a few steps.

It seemed that although his physique was strong, it hadn't transformed to the level of a superhero.

In the future, he should engage in close combat less and try to eliminate opponents with sufficient firepower whenever possible.

Seeing that injury, Yukiko thought of the two killers and said suspiciously, "But... why did those two target Conan? He didn't provoke them, did he?"

Before, the situation was urgent, and she didn't have time to think too much.

But now that she had calmed down, the more Yukiko thought about it, the more something felt wrong.

Why did Conan suddenly run back?

He wasn't really a seven or eight-year-old child, how could he do something so foolish?

Yukiko stared intently at Baishi Hui, hoping to get an answer from him!

"Speaking of which, it's a long story..." Baishi Hui was still hoping to gloss over it.

But Yukiko immediately said, "Then tell me slowly! Anyway, we have plenty of time now!"

"How about you ask him after you go back?" Baishi Hui suggested.

"That child Conan definitely won't tell me!" Yukiko knew her son very well!

She could tell that Baishi Hui was still hesitant, probably because he had promised Conan not to tell.

Seeing this, she decided to play the emotional card!

So Yukiko walked over to Baishi Hui, took his arm, looked at him with pitiful eyes, and said sadly, "Shirashi-kun, I know you are an honest and trustworthy person... but I promised Conan's Mother that I would take good care of him."

"But now, something life-threatening has happened... and I know nothing."

"This time, it's all thanks to you that he was saved... but what about in the future? You can't be by his side every time, can you?"

"..."

Watching Yukiko desperately plead with him, Baishi Hui felt no emotion inside, and even wanted to laugh a little.

Clumsy Yukiko, do you think you can convince me with such words?

He didn't hesitate to remove Yukiko's hand and said with a troubled expression, "Miss Yukiko, as the saying goes, 'A person without credibility cannot stand.' If I betray Conan this time, he won't trust me next time."

Yukiko didn't expect her hand to be removed, and she immediately felt a bit indignant!

Was she really that lacking in charm?

She couldn't even handle a seventeen-year-old boy?

As the saying goes, 'Buddhas fight for one stick of incense, people fight for one breath.'

Yukiko couldn't accept that her honey trap had failed!

She felt that this failure was entirely because the stakes weren't high enough!

Immediately, she grabbed Baishi Hui's arm and pressed two heavy 'chips' against him, suggesting, "Shirashi-kun, just tell me! I can keep a secret, I definitely won't tell Conan!"

For someone like Yukiko who had lived in a culturally advanced city like Los Angeles, such intimate gestures were nothing at all.

She had seen even more open things... open to a degree that she herself couldn't accept.

"This..." Baishi Hui didn't expect Yukiko to immediately challenge his weakness and start testing him.

Damn it!

How did she know I couldn't withstand the test?

"Alright... I can tell you, but you have to keep it a secret for me." Baishi Hui wasn't a monk either; since she was willing to make such a sacrifice, what did he have to be afraid of?

As for Conan... sigh, that kid will need his help in the future anyway.

If he betrayed him, he betrayed him. Anyway, the kid would still come running back to him next time!

Baishi Hui smoothly wrapped his arm around Yukiko's waist, lifted her up, placed her on his lap, and said, "Speaking of this matter, it was quite a coincidence—"

Immediately, he told Yukiko the whole story.

When Yukiko heard it, she was surprised that members of the Organization were involved!

This time, they even encountered two!

Vermouth and Kir!!

She was first greatly surprised, and only then did she understand why Conan had suddenly made such an abnormal and irrational move.

Based on her understanding of her son, it would have been strange if he hadn't done that!

After understanding the whole story, Yukiko gave Baishi Hui a look full of resentment and complained, "Shirashi-kun... you shouldn't have agreed to something like this."

"If I didn't agree to him, he would have gone by himself! Speaking of which, you should thank me." Baishi Hui said, giving Yukiko's behind a squeeze.

He had done so much for Conan, it was normal to charge a small fee, right?

But that poor kid Conan had no money and couldn't help with anything!

As the saying goes, 'A son's debt is paid by the mother,' which is only right and proper!

Yukiko was startled. She looked up at Baishi Hui, not expecting this guy to be so bold as to just lay his hands on her?

But thinking that he had saved her and helped Conan multiple times...

She also felt awkward pushing him away... let's just consider it compensation!

Besides... she didn't feel like she was at a disadvantage either.

Thinking of this, Yukiko no longer felt guilty or burdened. She sighed softly, "You're right. Even if you didn't agree, that child Conan would have gone, and his situation would have been even more dangerous then."

As she spoke, she couldn't help but reach out and poke his chest muscle—it was hard and really solid!

Just as the two were chatting, there were sudden thudding footsteps from the cabin.

After Yukiko heard it, she jumped off Baishi Hui's lap as if she had been electrocuted, and quickly moved to stand far away—she didn't want to ruin her image with Ran!

Baishi Hui looked at Yukiko with a playful gaze... he was quite happy inside. He liked women who knew their boundaries like this!!

Meanwhile, Yukiko continued chatting as if nothing had happened, saying, "Shirashi-kun, if something like this happens again next time, please be sure to tell me!"

"Uh... we'll see about that next time." Baishi Hui didn't agree, vaguely brushing it off.

After realizing he could use Conan to get a handle on Yukiko, his favorable impression of Conan soared!!

"Hmm? What are you two talking about?" Just then, Ran came out of the cabin. After hearing their conversation, she immediately became curious.

Seeing this, Yukiko immediately pulled Ran over and told her about Conan's dangerous actions!

She hoped that when she wasn't around Conan, Ran could help keep an eye on him and prevent him from doing dangerous things.
