Inside the dungeon, Fyar and his party walked continuously for more than two hours, ascending and descending the hills of the all-pink place filled with giant mushrooms. They ignored the low-level monsters that didn't attack them to hasten their journey to their destination
the cave where the golden fruit was located.
"I'm sorry... but... I... I don't think I can walk any further..." Illya bent over, touching both of her thighs, her breath coming in ragged gasps as if she could faint at any moment.
"Hey! Purple hair, how much longer until we reach that cave?!" Rasie asked while supporting Illya's shoulder.
Fyar glanced at the map on his wrist. "One hour."
"Ugh, still pretty far," Rasie complained.
Fyar looked at Illya for a moment before shifting his gaze to Zaefal. "It might not be a bad idea if we rest for fifteen minutes."
Zaefal looked at his companions, who seemed to be getting a little tired, especially Illya. He nodded. "Rest over there," Zaefal said, pointing to a giant mushroom not far from their location. "I'll keep watch."
"You rest too, Zaefal!" Rasie snapped. "Just fifteen minutes. It'll be a pain if you collapse too!"
Zaefal gave a small laugh. "Just give me some bread and water. I'll eat while I keep watch."
Rasie, Illya, and Fyar rested under a giant mushroom whose cap was large enough to be like a tent. Fyar ate the meal Laura had made for him with gusto. Likewise, Rasie and Illya ate their own provisions.
Zaefal stood guard around them while eating a piece of bread. He observed the surrounding area, ready to attack if any monsters appeared.
That murderer is still somewhere in this dungeon... How strong is he to be able to kill his entire party? I'm sure his level isn't low... Zaefal thought, remaining highly vigilant of the killer who was presumably still roaming the dungeon.
Fyar looked at Rasie, who seemed quite proud of what she was eating. Rasie even shared one of the fried eggs she had made with Illya and seemed to be waiting for Illya's reaction as she ate it. After swallowing his food, Fyar asked, "Did you cook your own lunch, Rasie?"
"Huh? Why are you suddenly asking something so silly like that, purple hair!?" Rasie was a little surprised by Fyar's strange question. "So what if I did!?"
Fyar then smiled. "Can I try it? I'm still a little hungry... just a little bit pwesee mommy??"
Rasie raised her eyebrows. "Haaah?! what the fu*k?" She then looked down at her plate and counted her uneaten fried eggs. She stabbed one with her fork and placed it on Fyar's plate. "There! Don't expect it to taste good, purple hair!"
"Thanks, Rasieeee!" Fyar beamed and began to eat the rest of his food along with the fried egg given to him by Rasie.
Rasie occasionally glanced at Fyar who was tasting her cooking, as if waiting for a reaction. Fyar noticed Rasie stealing glances at him. After chewing and swallowing, he smiled at Rasie and gave her a thumbs-up. "It's delicious damm! Is cooking a hobby of yours, Rasie??"
Rasie didn't know what to say. Stammering slightly, she said, "Sh-shut up, purple hair!!" Rasie turned her gaze away from Fyar, playing with a strand of her red hair with her finger. "Haaaah, I'm going to go help keep watch. My mood is ruined!!" She then stood up and headed toward Zaefal. A faint, fleeting smile appeared on Rasie's face.
Illya covered her mouth, stifling a small laugh at the sight.
Zaefal, who saw Rasie approaching with a faint smile, asked, "Are you in a good mood? Is your break over already?"
"Haah?? Wh-who's smiling? Is there something wrong with your eyes??" Rasie immediately wiped the smile off her face.
"Is that so? maybe I saw it wrong... haha," Zaefal replied with a small laugh.
After resting for fifteen minutes, Fyar and his party resumed their journey toward the cave. As they were walking, Rasie suddenly stretched her arm out behind her. "Stop!"
"What is it?" Fyar slowly walked forward to see what Rasie was looking at.
A hundred meters in front of them, a monster resembling an alien was staring at them. The monster had a body like a human, only it had no eyes and no mouth. On its back grew pink mushrooms.
From the book he had read, the monster was known to be fast and extremely poisonous. Even though the monster was only level ten, the poison from just touching its skin could kill a high-level adventurer in a matter of hours.
The monster was named Ygv. Fortunately, the Ygv only reacted if there was an enemy within a twenty-meter radius around it. The monster could be considered a natural enemy for Zaefal and Rasie.
Ygv... heh, the monster with the weirdest name I found in the book. The least creative name possible! It really does look like an alien from a space movie... I have to kill it quickly before it becomes aware of our presence. Fyar then aimed his pistol and prepared to shoot.
"Leave it to me!!" Rasie grinned widely, gripping her sword tightly, and prepared to slash the alien-shaped monster and ran toward it.
idiot, it's poisonous! Fyar then moved. "Hey, Rasie, don't! It's poisonous, it's a natural enemy for close-range fighters!! Rasieeee!!!!!"
Rasie looked back, not planning to turn around. "Huh???!? What, purple hair? I can't hear you!"
Zaefal slapped a hand on his face, resigning himself to Rasie's recklessness. He then took out his sword and intended to follow her. However, Fyar stopped his attempt. "Let me."
Fyar then aimed carefully at the monster's head and fired seven bullets that perfectly hit the Ygv's head.
BANG!!
The Ygv flinched slightly at the first shot. It began to look around.
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
However, the six consecutive shots from Fyar, none of which missed, nearly blew its head apart and caused it to fall to the ground.
Rasie, who was running toward the Ygv, was startled by the sudden gunshots that killed the monster. "Wh-what happened?!"
Rasie then gritted her teeth and looked back at Fyar. "DAMN YOU, PURPLE HAIR!!!!"
