High above, Doom's face darkened under his mask as the battle slipped. "Impossible! How are they this strong?!" He raised the Gauntlet, Power and Mind Gems merging into a terrifying energy torrent aimed at James, fighting Hulk. "Die!"
James didn't turn, his bio-field deflecting the blast, slicing a distant building. Doom's pupils shrank. "What?!"
James appeared, grabbing the Gauntlet. "Balance Reversal!" Black-white energy erupted, gems faltering, Doom's arm disintegrating in backlash. "No! Impossible!" Crack! His arm vanished.
James seized his throat, soaring, then slammed him into the earth's core. Boom! The dimension shook, buildings turning to dust. Strangely, Doom reappeared above, wounded but grinning. "You think it's over?"
He slapped his chest, a device glowing green. "Time Reversal!" The dimension twisted, scenes rewinding. Hulk shrank to Banner, chained again. Hela's blades reformed, Colossus and others rose, wounds gone. Doom's arm regrew, gems shining. The Mirror Dimension shattered, returning to reality.
James squinted. "He reversed local time."
Doom, pale from the cost, sneered, "Here, I control time!"
The battle resumed. Tony's armor tore under Hela's blades, vibranium repairing as he fired vibranium-disrupting particles. Norman's Goblin glider attacked; Tony's repulsor blasted it. Loki's illusions swarmed, his spear firing beams. Wanda's scarlet chains shattered them, pinning his true form. "Your tricks don't work!"
Iceman froze the air; Kara's heat vision vaporized it. Colossus charged; Kara dented him. James kicked him away. Steve's shield clashed with Black Panther's claws, sparks flying. Spider-Man webbed foes, Reed binding joints.
Doom freed Banner. "Kill them, Hulk!" Banner fell, runes spawning a vaster Hulk. "Hulk, destroy all!!!" His punch leveled buildings. Kara caught the Future Team, James facing Hulk, their blows quaking the earth.
Doom flew to the time machine. "One more activation, and—" Scarlet chains bound him, Wanda's magic burning his Uru armor. Her red hair danced, eyes blazing. "You're going nowhere," her voice echoed.
Doom's pupils shrank. Her magic was climbing?! Her chains dragged him down. "You're not leaving!"
His Mind Gem beam failed against her chaos magic. Loki's illusions shattered, pinned by Wanda. "Your power isn't from this dimension!" he gasped.
Wanda's gaze pierced reality, seeing tampered futures, even James fighting alone. "No!" Her scarlet energy surged, warping space. Doom's link to the time machine severed, its surface cracking like glass.
Doom staggered. "Impossible!"
James and Hulk's fight peaked. Time reversals stacked Hulk's rage, his skin cracking, revealing lava-like light, runes draining his life for power. "Hulk, strongest!!!" He hurled Stark Tower's remains; James's heat vision sliced it. Hulk charged, his uppercut blazing from friction.
