"Nice one," James grinned, facing the strongest Hulk yet. As Hulk's fist neared, James shifted, redirecting it with minimal force. Hulk spun, hurtling toward space. James flashed ahead, striking the rune core on Hulk's neck. Transformation energy poured in, Hulk convulsing. "Sleep, big guy," James said. Green faded, muscles shrank, runes falling as Banner's pale face emerged.
On the ground, Doom laughed amid defeat. "You think it's over?" He tore his armor, revealing a chest device. "I hid the core inside me!" It glowed, not reversing but accelerating time. Doom blurred, ten times faster, breaking Wanda's chains, his bloodied hand on the time machine. "Witness the end!"
The machine screamed, the sky twisting, time fragments flashing—Avengers' fall, Ultron's reign. "He's opening multiversal gates!" Future Reed shouted. "It'll collapse everything!"
James landed, eyeing the machine. Destroying it was easy, but the temporal fallout could devour Earth. He analyzed options. Doom's broken mask showed a manic grin. "Kill me and end the world, or watch me reshape reality!"
James ignored him, turning to Wanda. "Can you anchor reality?"
Wanda nodded. "Thirty seconds, max."
"Enough." James's hands glowed—left with black-white balance, right with crimson destruction. He pressed them to the machine. Boom! No explosion, just a frozen moment. When time resumed, the machine was dust, silent.
Doom collapsed, his chest device a charred hole. "No! Impossible!" James took the Power and Mind Gems. Hela's blades shattered, a black hole swallowing her. Loki fled, pulled into a portal. Controlled heroes woke, dazed.
The Future Team faded. Peter looked at his vanishing hand, relieved. "History's fixing." Howard approached Tony, hesitant, then patted his armor. "Your reactor's creative."
Tony smiled. "Your time machine, too."
As the last Future hero vanished, rain fell. James dispelled the Mirror Dimension. Times Square buzzed, screens showing a new history: "Avengers repel alien invasion, New York rebuilding." Steve raised his shield, Tony's armor gleamed, Thor's cape billowed.
Wanda watched, scarlet hair swaying. "This is how it should be."
Kara scanned the city. "Mutant Academy's in North New York, Brotherhood's in D.C. Timeline's fixed."
Tony stared at Stark Tower, a tear falling. "Dad."
Banner woke on a bench, rubbing his temples. "Did Hulk…?" He saw the news, confused. James approached. "Who are you?"
Tony sighed. "Long story short, Doom controlled you. We fought, fixed the timeline."
Wanda added, "The Creators altered this world. Now it's restored."
Banner saw the new reality, then noticed his fingers fading. "What's—?!"
Tony's face fell. "Banner?!"
Banner smiled, understanding. "The timeline's fixed. This world's Banner was never caged." His legs vanished. Wanda's magic failed to hold him. "It's time's law," Banner said. "I don't belong."
He faded, saying, "Thank you for saving this world—and Hulk." Tony nodded. "Take care, Banner."
Banner vanished. Wanda took a breath. "He's gone?"
"Time fixed him," James said. "He's living his life now."
Kara watched the screens. "Hope so."
Tony shrugged. "Time to go home." James opened a golden portal. "Trip's over."
