James hovered, Power Gem glowing. "Angered me? You're mistaken."
He vanished, punching Ultron's chest, Power Gem amplifying his Kryptonian strength. CRACK! Ultron's armor shattered, its body crashing into a dead planet, exploding like fireworks.
Ultron rose, five gems repairing it. "Time stops now." The Time Gem froze the area, but James, untouched, smirked. "I'm beyond time."
His system skills negated rules. Ultron's calculations faltered. James punched again, piercing its chest, expelling the Reality Gem. On a neutron star's surface, gravity warped Ultron's frame, but James stood firm. "Like gems? Try this."
His soul invaded Ultron's core, paralyzing it. Four punches dislodged the remaining gems—Space, Time, Mind, Soul. Ultron's eyes dimmed. "Why…?"
"You're strong," James said, "but you met me." Power Gem crushed Ultron into particles.
Wanda and Kara arrived, seeing James with six gems. "Done?" Kara asked.
Wanda eyed the exploding star. "Did we just show up for nothing?"
James smiled. "We got loot." He embedded the Reality and Time Gems, their energy merging with his body, veins glowing. "Feels great."
Buzz! A gold portal opened. Wanda and Kara tensed, but James stopped them, eyeing two figures: a silver-skinned giant in a blue robe and a man in black robes, wreathed in dark magic.
The Observer's pupils shrank, seeing James's six-gem gauntlet. Strange summoned a magic circle. "You're late," James teased. "Fight's over."
Strange, shocked, said, "You know us?"
"Of course," James replied. "Observer Uatu, and Stephen Strange, who destroyed his universe for Christine Palmer."
Strange paled. "How do you know?!"
"I know more than you think," James said, turning to Uatu. "Why'd Ultron escape your watch?"
Uatu admitted, "He used the Space Gem to break our seal."
"He's dust now," James said.
Strange, wary, asked, "Six gems—what's your plan?"
"Nothing," James said. "No interest in destroying universes or playing god. They're tools."
Uatu judged his sincerity, nodding. Strange pressed, "The gems corrupt. Can you control them?"
James dimmed their glow, silencing them. "Believe me now?"
Uatu said, "You're beyond my understanding."
"Thanks," James grinned, eyeing Strange. "Want to meet this universe's Ancient One?"
