Chapter 31 - Unlock

Inside the mental world.

[Yes!]

Roy gave the order, and in an instant, the system panel flickered.

The progress bar surged:

[Fujitora Template: 30% → 40%]

He saw him again—

That blind man, with justice on his back and wisdom in his heart.

Purple kimono fluttering, a blindfold of indifference across his face, clogs echoing against the void, and that long, gnarled staff-blade resting like a storm waiting to descend.

Fujitora's voice rang deep in his mind:

"Junior… has anyone ever told you that gravity can be reversed?"

With that, he unsheathed his cane-sword—a whisper more than a sound—and slashed.

No earth was cleaved.

No wind was torn.

Instead—the very laws of direction collapsed.

A horizontal wave of rotated gravity thundered out like a tsunami from another dimension. The slash didn't cut—it pulled, bent, and folded space sideways, dragging everything in its path like a collapsing mountain.

Roy froze in awe.

"This is… Gravity Knife: Tiger!"

He knew it. The move Fujitora used against Sabo during the Dressrosa incident. Back then, the sky had bent. Even the clouds screamed.

Roy dropped to one knee. Not from weakness—but reverence.

"Thank you… senior."

He absorbed every detail—how the flow of Nen changed, how Fujitora manipulated direction itself, how weight became blade.

Fujitora smiled faintly.

"Use it better than I ever could."

With a wave, the Admiral faded into dust, and his legacy was etched into Roy's blood.

BOOM!

Roy's body ignited with life energy—

Not a flash. A detonation.

Muscles twitched and tore, only to be reborn stronger.

Bones cracked like popcorn, reshaping themselves into a newer, more terrifying architecture.

Even the air distorted around him, as if the atmosphere couldn't decide where "down" was anymore.

Maha Zoldyck, watching from the side, felt the shockwave of presence and was nearly blown back.

"It's Netero's day, is it June for you too!?"

He cursed.

The gravity didn't just press—it commanded.

Roy's Aura flared.

No longer a steady stream—it was a maelstrom, wild and untamed.

Thick layers of Busoshoku Haki crawled across his arms like serpents of obsidian flame, while his Nen began to tremble at the threshold of something terrifying—a domain beyond mastery.

And then…

He opened his eyes.

Still blind.

But lightning flickered in those useless pupils—two streaks of raw perception—blinding even the sighted.

Roy (coldly):

"Old man… do you remember what Whitebeard said before he died?"

Maha frowned. "What nonsense—"

"He said: 'The old era has no ship that can carry me.'"

"…Doesn't that feel like your story?"

The silence stung.

Maha's eyelid twitched.

"Stop pointing at Sang and scolding Huai! Don't think that a little strength makes you the captain!"

"When I was your age, my great-grandfather was already a demon on the battlefield!"

Roy yawned.

"Cool story, Grandpa. Here's a thumbs up."

Then, with the weight of a god, Roy turned his back, dragging gravity in every step, warping the ground under his heels with invisible pressure.

Maha growled.

"Don't trip and fall—!"

"I'm blind, not helpless."

Let's imagine how Roy now performs at full power in an HxH-level battle:

Enemy: Phantom Troupe member Feitan.

Scenario: Troupe attacks a vault in Meteor City. Roy intervenes.

Feitan (grinning):

"You talk big. Let's see your blood."

Suddenly—Roy raises one hand.

A black orb forms above, then implodes inward.

WHUMP—!!!

Gravity spike.

Feitan's entire frame is slammed sideways into the ground, mid-dash.

Crack—!

His ribs pop.

Roy (calmly):

"The sword obeys me. So does the weight of the world."

Feitan vanishes, using his blazing speed.

Roy raises his hand again, pointing—

"Gravity Point: Reverse Spiral."

The entire terrain folds.

Feitan, still hidden in Zetsu, gets pulled into the air. His body contorts in three different directions. He tries to activate Pain Packer.

Too late.

Roy appears above him, sheathing his cane sword.

"One move."

He draws and slashes.

A horizontal wall of rotating gravity tears the battlefield into an X-shaped canyon.

Silence.

Feitan coughs blood.

Half the battlefield is gone.
