Chapter 4 - Chapter 3 : Monkey Rain

Tik-tik-tik...

One by one, the raindrops dashed from the sky like soldiers making people's life more miserable.

Man, women, toddlers being slung across their mother's chest—began to take cover from the midday downpour.

The young man called Dirga, went to the nearby shop. It's lights not on, gave the shop an almost ghostly, haunted look.

"ASUUUU !!!!" Dirga cussing, and running with his bleeding feet used his newly found jacket to cover his hair and head from the cold, harsh rain.

The sharp pain from the rocks gave the calloused feet brand new scars. The blinding light from the sun burned the sides of his face.

Coming into contact with the slippery white tiles of the shop, almost sent Dirga into a tumble. The cardboard near the entrance helped his grip to the floor.

"Hahhhh.... hahhh... hahhh...." Wiping sweat from his brows, he took his jacket and searched his pockets to find the plastic cup that had all his money.

Counting the money, the total he got was but a small price of a bag of overpriced chips.

15.000 Rupiahs.

A rat, ran from the sewers to the front of Dirga's feet, shocking the man. It's piss clinging to the floor.

Hahhh...

What a great description of my luck... though, I suppose this is the most luckiest I have been in these 2 months of begging.

On the streets, alone. How did my life fall into... this ? Was it the failed interview ? What would my parents say ?

Probably yells and hateful threats.

The shop abandoned in both shape and fillings, it would be a great place to sleep for the day. The glass doors—stollen possibly, left a gaping hole on the shop. Like a scar that will never heal.

Dirga met inside of the shop in just a few small steps, the racks of shop cabinets filled with nothing gave the shop an almost haunted look—even though by the interior shape of the shop, Dirga could conclude that the shop was abandoned in modern setting.

"Well... who cares ? Probably, the ones that ransacked this place..." Dirga scanned his surroundings. Noticing something amiss.

No... graffitis ?

"Ain't that new ? Pretty suspicious..." Dirga's bleeding feet gave the white tiles, a splash of red.. attracting a small number of flies.

"Goodnight, me.... even though it is bright outside..."

Blinking his eyes to the bright light above, Dirga was met with the eyes of an old man.
