Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Survival from a desperate situation

The policewoman's inexplicable kill of the Graves wasn't just a simple kill.

This kill dampened the enemy's high morale, severely dampening it.

It also sent a message to our team, whose morale had plummeted, reminding them that we weren't defeated yet and still had a chance.

Look, the policewoman had fewer Infinity Edges than the Graves, yet with less than 100 HP, she still managed to kill the Graves at full health.

Fatty Mao patted Xia Xin on the shoulder, "You're lucky, kid! I guess you're my lucky star. I should have brought you here sooner."

Xia Xin smiled sheepishly but didn't say much.

Shu Yuewu muttered softly, "No, that's not luck. It's all calculated."

After Graves returned home, the policewoman began setting traps, three in a row, and then specifically called up the system interface to enable auto-attack, otherwise the hero wouldn't automatically attack in the brush.

He thought no one was paying attention, but Shu Yuewu saw it. Those two seconds.

The policewoman attacked the tower, seemingly deliberately hitting twice more, allowing Graves to hit him twice. Otherwise, with no minions, he would have already returned to the city. Why waste time?

Then, as he was about to return to the city, he even placed a ward in the enemy's bushes. Without the ward, Graves wouldn't have seen him coming.

It was a lure, a trap.

Everything was set.

The policewoman was like a hunter lurking in the bushes in the dark night, her eyes gleaming with murderous intent. From the moment she stood out of Graves's reach and pressed the recall button, the hunt had begun.

Graves, step by step, stepped into her trap, and into the bushes of death.

Before him, the Diamond 5 Graves was like a three-year-old being held down by an adult, constantly waving his fists. He couldn't even touch his clothes.

This was the true meaning of being manipulated, the true difference in strength.

The game continued.

Even though we were behind in economy, kills, and dragons, we were still pushing mid.

Don't ask why; low-level players don't buy into that; statistics are just a bunch of nonsense.

Xia Xin had originally intended to help mid, but he noticed that Graves wasn't going mid, but was still in the bottom lane. Graves was determined to take him down.

Xia Xin thought, okay, I'll play along.

He had to try to hold Graves back as much as possible. Graves's ultimate was now explosive in teamfights, and our squishies couldn't withstand it. Combined with Fizz and Warwick, teamfights were devastating, and he could easily kill anyone on our side.

Xia Xin now had an Infinity Edge, and he was still desperately trying to catch up. With this item, it was actually hard enough to hit any squishy enemy besides Crocodile.

Catwoman was still laning with Graves in the bottom lane.

She was surprised to find that four people in the middle lane had taken down the first tower and were beginning to attack the second. The only defenders were Janna and Crocodile. Crocodile was fine clearing the minions under the tower, and Janna's shield didn't do much damage.

Because we had no wards, and our team was wary of the lurking Warwick, we flanked with Fizz and slowly, steadily took down the tower with Clockwork and Annie.

Xia Xin keenly sensed something was amiss.

The calm before the storm.

The bottom lane was pitch black, with no wards anywhere.

Graves began pushing the minion wave with his Q.

Xia Xin guessed, "He's coming to kill me."

After all, a 4-0 record was a bit noticeable.

He didn't even bother to replenish the minions and turned around to run.

Lu Ming immediately noticed something was amiss.

Oh no, he's running.

But just as Fizz reached the red buff, attempting to circumvent the Malphite, Warwick was already poised in the bottom lane triangle bushes.

"He's not farming anymore. We can't wait any longer. Go!"

Okay, Warwick immediately used his ultimate, gaining 20% movement speed with invisibility, and charged from the triangle bushes straight towards the bottom lane tower.

There was no way Miss Fortune could outrun Warwick's ultimate.

The moment a yellow exclamation point appeared above his head, Xia Xin knew Warwick was about to leap.

Xia Xin shouted, "Fat Man, push straight to mid lane. They're all down there."

With that, Xia Xin used his E skill and hurled a net towards the triangle bushes, then retreated naturally towards the tower.

Sure enough, a Warwick appeared in mid-air, also hurling a net with his E skill. The difference was, his net missed, while Miss Fortune's net did, reducing his speed by half for two seconds.

Graves immediately used his E ability, then a Q, hitting Miss Fortune, and simultaneously launched a basic attack at her.

One critical hit, one basic attack, and an ultimate were all it took for Miss Fortune to die.

The first hit didn't crit.

Miss Fortune turned and attacked him, and the tower began to attack him.

But Miss Fortune critted, knocking off a quarter of his health. The Infinity Edge and the Red Cross were a real bonus, giving him a 55% critical chance and 250% critical damage.

Miss Fortune raised her gun and used her Q, Peacemaker, firing a straight shot.

Graves reacted quickly, dodging to the left. This Q could deal around 500 health, so he didn't dare to take it.

Miss Fortune moved to attack Graves, then moved back under the tower, putting more distance between him and Warwick. Without his ultimate, there was no nearby brush, and after missing her E, Warwick was truly helpless, forced to struggle forward on foot.

On the second hit, Graves didn't crit, and Lady Police landed another critical.

Graves was hit by the tower again, leaving him with less than half his health.

Graves cursed, "Damn it! A critical! I'm dead in one hit."

With a 40% critical chance, three hits should have landed a critical.

On the third hit, Lady Police's attack speed advantage came into play. She moved back under the tower, attacking first, slightly faster than Graves, and Lady Police landed another critical.

Graves had less than 200 health left.

Graves's shot arrived later, but still didn't crit.

The fourth hit...

No, my attack speed wasn't as fast as hers. Graves's health was backed up by a single heal, but Lady Police knocked it down. Although it wasn't a critical, Lady Police had a passive, so she landed a headshot, and the tower's attack was about to arrive.

I was going to die. I was going to die if I got hit by the tower. I couldn't withstand the tower's third hit with my health level.

It was either a basic attack or a special attack. Graves reluctantly chose special attack, leaving the rest to the others. Killing her once was enough.

The policewoman had nowhere to hide under the tower, and was instantly struck, losing over 500 health to just over 100.

Lu Ming slammed the table. Damn! He only had 15% more critical chance than me. He landed three critical hits, and I didn't. Was his Infinity Edge and Red Cross imported?

The policewoman had over 100 health.

Meanwhile, Fizz had arrived, blocking the policewoman's escape route. Warwick was lurking under the tower, closing in on her, while the tower attacked the minions.

Shu Yuewu's heart was in her throat. Her hands tightly grasped her clothes, her eyes fixed on the policewoman on the screen.

There was no escape in front, and pursuers were behind.

This was a dead end. What should I do?

Any skill he hit now would kill her.

The policewoman methodically positioned herself behind the tower, targeting Warwick.

His luck seemed to have run out; he'd just landed three critical hits in a row, and now he couldn't.

Seeing the distance was clear, Fizz flashed in front of the policewoman, unleashing his W for damage and simultaneously unleashing his Q, "Naughty Strike," to charge in.

This Q was a targeted attack, impossible to dodge.

"Die."

But with a flash of light, the policewoman healed.

She withstood the damage.

At the same time, she shifted her sexy little butt to the left, and a giant shark circle, launched by Fizz's R, suddenly appeared in her place.

She dodged Fizz's R.

Fizz didn't panic at all. He immediately launched his E, his petite body leaping into the air, ready to crush the policewoman to death.

"Ah."

Shu Yuewu couldn't help but cover her mouth and exclaimed in shock. She knew that this area damage was impossible to avoid by moving. She was going to die.

A flash of yellow light appeared, and the policewoman dodged back toward home, dodging the trap.

With a snap, the murloc, who had stepped on him, was caught in a trap.

The murloc was startled. What? How could there be a trap here? Could it be that he was behind a tower, obstructing his view, so he didn't see it?

Because the policewoman had the murloc's passive magic damage and his Ignite, the tower began to attack him.

The policewoman continued to fight and retreat.

The trapped murloc stood helplessly, a target.

One, two, three hits, and the trap was released. The policewoman had already distanced herself from the murloc.

As soon as the murloc took a step forward, he collapsed helplessly under the tower's attack, hit by the policewoman's final headshot.

At the same time, the policewoman herself was about to be caught by the Warwick.

The health bar above her head burned, dwindling steadily: 6, 183, 132, 61, finally settling at 20.

Miss Caitlyn was oblivious to her own health. As long as her screen wasn't black and white, she would fight to the bitter end.

As a competent AD carry, even if you die, you must deliver every last bit of damage. Even if it's only 100 HP, it might just turn the tide of a battle. An AD carry's job is to deal damage.

At this point, she had long forgotten about hiding her strength and was completely immersed in the game.

She stepped back, attacked Warwick, set a trap under her feet, and continued to retreat.

This maneuver was seamless, buying at least two more seconds.

Warwick wasn't stupid; he had no choice but to move to the left, circling, which put some distance between them.

Warwick's movement speed was faster than Warwick's, and he quickly caught up, almost closing in on her.

Warwick was suddenly surprised to discover his E skill had activated.

The moment he saw his E skill work, his face didn't show any joy. Instead, his eyes widened in surprise. Because... his E skill had just been used simultaneously with the Policewoman's, and both skills had the same cooldown.

Then, as Rengar unleashed his E skill, the Policewoman's E had already been used.

The two nets collided in mid-air.

But the Policewoman was retreating, while Rengar remained stationary.

Although the Policewoman's E skill hit Rengar, both of them were slowed down and unable to escape.

But there was still a considerable distance between them.

One was melee, the other ranged.

After repeated attacks, Rengar finally reached the Policewoman, only to be sent to the hot springs by the adorable little Policewoman's single shot.

That claw, after all, never landed.

The words "Triple Kill" appeared on the screen, indicating the Policewoman had achieved a triple kill.

Indeed, their lineup's biggest flaw was... short range. Whether it was Graves, who was killed in the brush, or Warwick and Slark, they could only close in with their abilities, and Xia Xin exploited this flaw perfectly.

The policewoman's triple kill went unnoticed, as it was quickly overtaken by the mid lane double kill, and then the word "ace" appeared.

It turned out that at some point, Crocodile and Wind Girl in the mid lane had also been beaten to death by four people.

"Ace?"

Mao Pang glanced at them in confusion, confused as to how the other three had died so inexplicably, but that didn't matter.

He nudged Xia Xin's shoulder. "Xia Xin, did you see that? I just flashed my R-Force right under the high ground tower. It hit Janna and Crocodile. Two of them. The four of us instantly killed them both. Did you see that? Did you see that? Flash, R-Force. Super fast."

Xia Xin smiled. "I saw it. Awesome, awesome! The fastest of them still has 60 seconds left to revive. After we take the high ground, let's go straight to the crystal. I'll be right there."

The policewoman's health was only a little over 100, but there was no need to heal. One wave, one kill. Win.

Fatty Mao paused for a moment before realizing, "Yeah, we can have a one wave. Did we... win? What happened to the other three?"

"Oh, they were trying to get to me by tower diving. I got killed by the tower. You know, I'm really lucky."

"Haha, you really are my lucky star."
