Chapter 1 - ~ Prolouge ~

"Jane!" I can hear him shouting out my name.

"Jane! Stop please!" He screamed, while still chasing me with his cut bruised leg. I kept on running till my feet hurt.

"Just stop will you? Let's talk, please!" He shouted still running after me, but this time, I won't stop.

"Janice! Please! I'm hurt, I can't run no more.." I ignored him and kept running, with my face as red as a ripened tomato's internals due to the continuous jogging.

A thud on the ground is the next thing I heard. I turned back to look and saw him laying half dead on the road, with a pool of blood slowly curling around his head.

"Tyran!" I screamed out of fear. I sprinted towards him, while my lungs succumb to breathe as I struggle for air, hoping something serious didn't occur right here, hoping that I just didn't lose him.

As soon as I reached him, I rushed down to his head, I held him close placing his head on my lap . He had gone unconcious as he hit his head pretty hard on a road brick. His curly hair were all wet and droopy from the blood he had lost that encircled is head.

I immediately took out my cellphone and dialed for the ambulance.

 ~

"Calm down ma'am, we'll be there in 15 minutes." The women on the other side said.

"Be quick please! My friend is bleeding the hell out!" I screamed at the women on the line, scared to my guts for Tyran.

She told me to apply firm pressure to the wound with sterile gauze or a clean cloth. I did exactly that with my shaking hands and the anxiety I could feel churning my stomach.

 ~

The ambulance was there in about 10 minutes. I went numb.

All I did was look at the two men rushing out of the ambulance towards us. They held Tyran up and lay him on a strecher, and put him gently inside the ambulance. They commanded me to come along.

All I did was look at their face, expressionless, palefaced.

I couldn't move..
