Chapter 4 - Divorce

" Who's that? " The officer who was left in charge of Ryan questioned, his expression darkened with his eyes squinting at his fellow officer.

" I don't know but she claim to be his attorney " the second officer explained.

" Tch, that bastard truly has an attorney huh? I guess he's lucky today, we can't deprive an attorney of seeing her client, let her in "

The officer commanded, he gave his order to the junior officer who brought in the report to him.

The junior officer left and a few minutes later she appeared.

She walked into the interrogation room with a lopsided smile written on her lips, dressed in a jet black suit, and having a blue knotted tie on display, she held a black leathered handbag.

Redhead.....her smiles were beautiful, powerful enough to melt even the more hardened heart.

She tilted her gaze, facing the direction of Mr. Ryan when her face beamed with smiles.

" Officer thank you for permitting me to see my client, I'm sure my client is innocent of the crimes he's being accused of, I can guarantee that " She voiced out.

" Hmph, innocent huh? "

" What exactly is a lousy attorney like you going to do when the Haimon Family has evidence stacked against him? He and his team defrauded clients and he stole five million dollars from the G-Ex Enterprise "

" They are as well pressing charges against him "

" His mere life is over " the officer bragged but the young lady shrugged his words off, she catwalked, gently approaching Mr. Ryan who remain sitted without uttering a single word.

" Hmph, you have three minutes to discuss whatever you want to discuss with your attorney, after the time ends, I'll be throwing this bastard in his cell and locking him up "

" Criminals deserves to spend the rest of their lives rotting in jail " He spat out, he left the interrogation room, having the door shut.

Silence reigned.

---

Mr. Ryan slowly raised his head, staring into the eyes of the young lady who came to see him, under the pretence of being his attorney, they glanced at eachother, locking eyes.

Ryan could taste the tension in the air.

He had this uneasy feeling deep rooted in his heart.

" It's being awhile Mr. Ryan, greetings to you " She voiced out with a lopsided smile displayed on her lips.

Gently adjusting her glasses.

Ryan had a confounded look on his face.

" Good Day Ms.? you speak like we have met before, are you my attorney? " Ryan calmly questioned.

" Yes I'm here as your attorney, the name is Ms. Mariah and we have been looking for you Mr. Ryan, after you went missing half a decade ago, we have been in tracking you down until now "

" If you weren't arrested, we wouldn't have gotten a hint about your existence " She spoke out.

Ryan's eyebrows curled up.

" Huh? what are you talking about Ms. Mariah, I don't think we have met before, who has been looking for me? " Ryan asked.

" Your family, Young Master Ryan.....the Household of the Castles has never been the same since you went missing five years ago, I came here for a single reason, to return you back to your rightful position "

She explained, Ryan couldn't believe his ears.

Completely dumbstrucked, he pinched himself hoping everything was a dream but he felt sharp pains.

" Ouch " Ryan moaned.

" He-he-he-he, you don't need to hurt yourself in doubts, this isn't a dream but reality " She said.

" But don't you think you are at the wrong place? If I could recall, I was brought up and raised in an orphanage, I grew up as a farmer in..."

" Mr. Ryan.....do you have any memories of your life five years ago? " Mariah questioned. Interuppting the words of Ryan.

The interrogation became dreadfully silent, Ryan had no words because he truly has no memories of his life five years ago.

His memories were blank.

" No...no...no...but..."

" There's no but Mr. Ryan, I wouldn't be here in the first place if I were to be mistaken, you are our missing Young Master and I'll be releasing you from this...."

The young miss couldn't complete her statement when she was interuppted by the metallic door opening, the officer walked into the scene.

" Time's up princess, It's time to take the thief "

The officer spoke out, advancing towards Mr. Ryan, he grabbed Ryan by the left arm, he applied pressure, dragging him up to his feet, his brute grip caused Ryan to moan, he felt sharp pain in his left arm.

" What are you doing handling my client like that? I'm not yet done talking to him " She complained, she rose up from her seat, glaring at the officer, enraged and ready to strike.

" Huh? who do you think you are? some super lawyer? "

" Just shut ya trap bitch, for you to come in as the attorney of this lowly thief and fraudster, he must have paid you pennies or are you just looking for some cheap dick to fuck tonight? " The officer mocked.

" If you know what's good for you, get the fuck out of here or you will be an accomplice " The officer warned.

He dragged Ryan out of the interrogation room so brazenly.

The attorney followed from behind but all her efforts were in vain, she tried attempting to physically stop the officer but in response she fell on the ground, having her cheeks reddened by the backhanded slap she received.

The officer could not care less about hitting a woman.

They were spotted walking across the hallway with this scene attracting many onlookers.

But most of the figures present were officers, they were all seen smiling, mocking the situation of Mr. Ryan.

" What's going on here? "

A baritone voice erupted, startling everyone who were present, movements came to an halt, the gentle voice heard was laced with authority, creating tension into the air.

The officer tilted his gaze.

Facing his right, approaching his direction was someone whose presence is mysterious yet intensely dangerous, a significant figure.

Grey haired and brown eyed, dressed in a jet-black gucci suit, while holding onto his walking cane. from his facial looks, one could tell he's in his mid late sixties probably becoming seventy year old in a year or a few months.

Behind him were black suited figures, their gaze stayed sterned.

With their eyes covered by the black shades they had on, each standing at six foot tall,
