Munir's House – Dining Area
Soft lights bathed the dining room in a gentle glow. The table was filled with dishes, cups, and plates bearing vegetables, tuwo, sauces, and a variety of fruits. The aroma wafted through the air, spreading warmth and comfort.
Tariq, Munir's father, sat at the edge of the table, slowly stirring a spoon in a cup of warm water. He glanced across the table with a smile on his face.
Tariq (smiling):
"Munir, where's Kamal? He's the one we're waiting for today?"
Munir (looking up from his plate):
"He's upstairs, Daddy. I'll go call him."
Tariq (smiling at his wife):
"Hmm… now it's Kamal who keeps us waiting? That's new. Before, he'd show up even before you called him. But now — he actually seems to enjoy staying home and going to school."
Munir's mother gave a soft smile, her eyes meeting her husband's with quiet affection.
Tariq:
"Honestly, I'm impressed. School has really calmed him down. Ever since he moved in with you, Munir, it feels like he's starting to find balance. I can see a bit of light in his spirit."
Munir's Mother:
"I just hope it lasts. Kamal is smart, but… he always craved too much freedom."
Tariq (laughing):
"Is there anyone who enjoys freedom more than Kamal? But now... I think he's beginning to change. If he's serious, I'll continue to support him."
Munir stood up cheerfully and left the table.

Kamal's Room – Upstairs
Kamal lay on his bed, watching the ceiling fan spin slowly above. His phone was beside him — the message he'd sent still unanswered.
Kamal (softly):
"She stopped and looked at me… I spoke to her. Even if it was just one word — I know she heard me."
A smile tugged at his lips. His fingers absentmindedly played with the edge of his phone, his mind swirling with questions.
Kamal (staring at the phone):
"Maybe she doesn't have my number? Or she's afraid to respond? Or maybe… she still doesn't trust anyone?"
Before he could finish the thought, the door creaked open. Munir walked in with a mock frown.
Munir:
"Kamal! You're still not downstairs? Daddy's over here bragging that you've become a decent person. If they see you now, they'll love you more than me!"
Kamal (laughing as he gets off the bed):
"So I'm a human now? Looks like I'm finally getting promoted in this household."
Munir (laughing):
"You've had enough rest. Come on, before Daddy changes his mind!"
