Chapter 13 - Dark Hall Offer

Around 11 AM, inside the Falcon Family House, Luke and Arthar were sitting in the hall. Just then, a servant entered and said:

Servant: Master, two people have arrived from the North Hall.

Arthar: Alright, send them in.

Luke: Looks like the news of me becoming a Half-Gold has reached them.

Arthar: Hmmm...

A few moments later, two men wearing black robes entered the hall with the servant. One of them was Level 4 Wizard Stefen, and the other was Half-Gold Vampire Rogar. Their identity was clear from their badges — wizard badges have a black background with stars indicating their level, while vampire badges reflect their power color.

Arthar gestured them to sit on the sofa. Usually, Dark Hall emissaries receive respect, but the Falcon House didn't pay them much importance. Had it been the old Falcon House, they might have just sent back their corpses!

Luke: So, how did North Hall forget the way to our house?

Stefen: Please forgive us, we came without informing.

Arthar: Then you shouldn't have come at all.

Stefen: I apologize... but it's a rule in our Hall — whenever a powerful vampire or magician is born in a region, we must congratulate them.

Luke: If you're done congratulating, shall we get to the point?

Rogar:Luke, we both, on behalf of Dark Hall, congratulate you on becoming a Half-Gold Vampire.

Stefen pulled out a large golden badge from inside his coat, with the Dark Hall logo and Luke's name engraved. It was an official certificate of him becoming a Half-Gold.

Luke (with a smile): Keep it with you, from my side.

Stefen: No no, this is specially for you.

Luke: Leave it, get to the point.

Stefen (gesturing to Rogar): Give me the letter.

Rogar took out a letter from his pocket, holding it with both hands and handed it to Stefen. Stefen read it respectfully:

"Congratulations from the North Hall Master to the Falcon Family. We wish to begin a new alliance, leaving behind old differences between the Dark Hall and the Falcon Family. To strengthen this bond, we propose that Arthar become the disciple of one of our Level 7 Magicians from North Hall.We hope you will not disappoint us.**"

As the letter ended, it vanished by itself.

Rogar (looking at Arthar): So when will you...

Arthar: Never. And thank you for coming. You may leave now.

Stefen and Rogar couldn't believe their ears. They thought maybe Arthar had spoken mistakenly. But his expression didn't change. They looked at Luke.

Luke: You heard his answer, right? Now get out.

Stefen:Luke, we can't change the past. We've all lost something. It's better we move forward together.

Rogar:Arthar, your future is bright. If you join the Dark Hall, no one in this sector will be able to match you.

Arthar: We know how to take care of ourselves. You should approach Danial. He's a Level 4 Wizard, about to become Level 5. He might not refuse to become a disciple.

Stefen: We know. But our master asked to speak to you personally.

Arthar: Thank you. Now, you may leave.

They left disappointed.

Rogar (stopping at the gate): So are you with the Royal Family?

Luke: Not for now. But when we needed them, they were also missing. We're only angry with them — but we hate the Dark Hall.If it ever comes to choosing sides, we know who we'll choose. Even if the Falcon Family has to be destroyed.

Saying this, the two exited the Falcon Family gate and disappeared through a glass portal.

Luke (watching through the window): Arthar, this could've been a great opportunity for you. But don't ruin your future. Let this enmity stay among us elders.

Arthar:joiner russal always said: "Family is everything. Their enemies are our enemies, their friends our friends."

Meanwhile, in the Black Market – Exchange Hall:

A man, his entire body and face hidden in a black robe, enters through a dark alley into the Exchange Hall. The place is filled with small sealed rooms where confidential deals take place.

Robed Man: The item I requested — is it here? The order board had "YES" written beside my number.

Exchanger: Yes. That's why it was written.

Robed Man: Price. Blue Blood Cell — 50 units, as agreed.

Exchanger: No. The item holder wants something more — or something that might benefit the Smiths.

Robed Man (removing a small black flame shard from his forehead): Will this do?

Exchanger: Yes, that'll work.

After the exchange, both items were automatically switched between the two.

As the Robed Man was leaving:

Exchanger: If you have more flames to sell, let us know. There are many buyers for it.

Robed Man: If I feel like it, I'll return.

As he walked out, he looked at the board — it now read:"Trade No. 34465 : COMPLETE"

He whispered to himself:"Finally, I got it."
