The brothers left the room and finally went down below to the ground floor, also known as Level 1, to see their other companions. The rest of them had divided themselves into two groups already.
Chuck and Melissa were with Albert in the dining Hall seated. Lin was in his weapons and training room, with Sachika and Hershel accompanying him.
Sachika was busy chatting away with Hershel, almost studying his body. She was also mind blown with the technology all around her, as she tried studying the metallic sealing doors. She saw the Nuclear room and 8immediately walked away from it, as if ignoring it exists.
David: Sachika!!
David called her from afar, walking towards her. She turned, her eyes shining with excitement, and saw her husband waving at her.
Sachika: Honeeeyyy!!!
Sachika ran to him and jumped to hug him, as of they were separated for an insane amount of time. Max was still grossed out from looking at this, and after noticing the cheeky smile from the Asian woman, he realised that she was doing this on purpose, to embarrass them.
David broke the hug after a few seconds and turned to his brother.
David: I swear, she never does this! And she never calls me honey.
Sachika burst out laughing listening to his excuse. Max also smiled at them. They looked happy. And that's all that mattered to him. He was just glad to have a member of his family back.
Chuck: Max!! Look at me!!
Max turned to see the eleven year old boy, with Melissa and Albert alongside him. They had walked up to him, while they were chatting.
Max: Yeah, tell me, Chuck..
Chuck had sparkling eyes too for some reason.
Chuck: Can we go to the town, pleaseeeeee???
Melissa: Pleaseeeeeeee..
Max was confused on why they were acting like that. But then he turned to the Samurai beside them, hoping for an explanation.
Albert sighed.
Albert: Well, I told them about all the different book stores that I had noticed while we were there...and...
Chuck: And, I think we might find some Eternal Tomes there!!
Melissa: And I can get other books that can rid me of my boredom. All the books in the Doke, are in languages that I can't read!!
Chuck: I can even use the Fireflies to locate them if I'm nearby!
At the rapid fire permission requests from his allies, Max was shocked and yet weirdly satisfied. He smiled at them.
Max: Okay..okay!! We can go there.....why are you even asking me, Melissa...Didn't you claim yourself to be the leader??
Melissa pouted her lips and turned her aside in a cute way. Chuck laughed, but was much more focused and happier that he gets to go.
Melissa: Well.....I wasn't asking you or anything...I was going anyway..
Max and Chuck burst out to laughter, and Melissa became flustered, her face becoming as red as her hair.
Melissa: Shut up!! Both of you!!!
Sachika was observing this and noticed her husband just smiling. He then walked up to his younger brother.
David: But why is the boy even asking you for permission??
Max: Well, technically...I became his guardian....so..
David: What..??
Max: Yeah...I did kind of adopt him. He is like a nephew to me....considering that we are almost two thousand years old.
Chuck: Haha...yes!!
Max: In fact, my entire Troupe is named after our family. Meet Chuck Westwood Steefan.
Chuck: What? Nooo!
Albert sighed as he realised that Max was looking at him.
Max: He is Albert Steefan.
Albert: Nope.
And finally Max laid his eyes on Hershel and Melissa.
Max: That's Hershel Steefan and Melissa Thorne Steefan.
Sachika: Thorne??....I feel like I've heard the name before..
Hershel: Hey guys. I'm Hershel Steefan now.
Chuck: Haha...
Melissa: Come on!! Nobody even agreed to the Paradox Troupe thing anyway..
David was happy seeing his introverted brother, finally having some friends.
He then turned to see the warrior, Lin.
David: So...is this Lindsay Steefan then??
Max and Chuck immediately burst out laughing, while angering Lin.
Lin: I'm not Lindsay! Don't believe everything that metal thing says. It's Xi Fei Lin. Strongest Warrior of Fei clan alive.
David: Oh....oops...sorry...my bad...
David was in a defensive stance against him, knowing that he struck a chord against him. Lin was always angry, which wasn't existing knowledge for David.
David: I'm sorry....but I do thank you for being friends with my brother..
Albert immediately bowed and sighed. Max had a palm on his face. And Lin was angry once again, so he snapped back.
Lin: Listen hear, you idiot!! That little shit is NOT my friend!! No one here is! Do you get it, moron??
David: Woah woah woah....Is that how you talk to an elder? That's not great behaviour!!
Max stepped in to stop his brother from creating amess, as David was enraged.
Max: Relax, Dave...he is always like that...
David: That's still not a reason to let it go! Is that how he acts towards you too??
He then turned to Lin, and in the heat of the moment, he blurted something out.
David: Do I need to teach you some manners....cause clearly your Clan did not!!
Lin stopped his walk midway. He then turned back to face David.
Lin: What....did you just say...??
