Chapter 115 - Chapter 115: Ice Dragon King and Fire Dragon King

Chapter 115: Ice Dragon King and Fire Dragon King

The instant Lin Yun opened his eyes, the entire Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well seemed to lose all color. Everything turned to dull gray lifelessness, except for the spring at the center, which still shimmered faintly in red and white light.

Well, not everything—Lin Yun himself and the Ice Emperor were fine. The latter appeared at his side instantly, eyes sharp and alert.

"Be careful, my lord. Something's not right." Ice Emperor raised her hand, terrifying ice-element power condensing around her palm. The Wrath of the Ice Sovereign was already prepared to strike.

Then, a calm, faintly amused voice echoed through the mist.

"Didn't expect you to actually succeed. Seems my wife and I underestimated you."

Two figures appeared—one red, one blue. The red one was tall and imposing, the blue one slender and elegant, both exuding a distinctly draconic presence.

"Uncle Fire! Aunt Ice!" Di Tian emerged from the void, his expression bright with excitement.

Indeed, these were none other than the fallen Ice and Fire Dragon Kings who had perished within the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. Yet the forms before them were not their true bodies, but remnants—divine-level soul fragments, much like Electrolux.

"Ugh, don't call me 'aunt,'" the Ice Dragon King said coldly, her voice sharp and regal. "I refuse to have such a useless nephew. You can't even ascend to godhood—how embarrassing."

Her words struck like daggers. Some might call it harsh; others would say it was her charm.

Di Tian's face froze, the excitement draining away as his expression darkened like storm clouds.

The Ice Emperor burst out laughing, clutching her stomach and pointing at Di Tian as if watching a jester's performance.

"Enough, enough," Fire Dragon King interjected helplessly, drawing the Ice Dragon King gently into his arm. "This isn't the time. Haven't you noticed that the laws of this world have changed? The very fabric of Douluo's heavens feels… different."

The Ice Dragon King nodded, her tone suddenly serious. "You're right. I can even feel the world's rules suppressing my remnant soul. Even if I ignite my divine fragments, I can't exert strength beyond the god level."

"Do you know what's caused this?" she asked, turning her gaze toward Lin Yun.

To her, Di Tian was too ignorant to understand such matters. If she wanted real answers, she'd have to ask Lin Yun—someone whose power matched their own at the level of a Dragon King.

The Fire Dragon King also turned to look at him.

Lin Yun shrugged. "Do you still remember how you two fell?"

"Of course we do," the Fire Dragon King said, his face flickering briefly with the violent nature of flame before calming once again. "We were slain by the Dragon God himself. For reasons unknown, he lost his mind—went mad in the God Realm—and began slaughtering indiscriminately.

"As the nine Dragon Kings, we were the strongest of our kind. Naturally, we stood at the forefront to stop him. But in that war, we were struck down by his own hand."

"What?!" Di Tian's voice cracked as he jumped up in shock. "You mean to tell me the Dragon God himself killed you?!"

All his life, he'd believed it was the human gods who had betrayed and slain the Dragon God, cutting off the path to ascension for all beastkind.

And now—this? The truth flipped his entire worldview upside down.

"Do you think we'd lie to a junior like you?" the Ice Dragon King said dismissively. "If you don't believe us, ask the one beside you. He carries part of the Dragon God's power—surely you can feel it."

Her tone was frosty, laced with hostility. The Dragon God had been her slayer; even sensing a trace of that divine aura from Lin Yun made her blood boil.

Di Tian turned toward Lin Yun, searching his face.

Lin Yun gave a small nod—neither admitting nor denying, but confirming all the same.

The Dragon God's madness had nothing to do with him. If the Dragon God had lost his mind, that wasn't Lin Yun's problem. He wasn't about to shoulder that blame.

With that thought, the faint guilt that had flickered in his chest vanished entirely. His expression grew calm, composed—righteously indifferent.

The Ice Dragon King gritted her teeth at the sight, resisting the very real urge to bite him.

"Don't look at me like that," Lin Yun said casually. "That's all the Dragon God's mess. I may be his incarnation, but what he did has nothing to do with me."

"When the Dragon God split, I became the Golden Dragon King, inheriting his immense physical strength and destructive power. The other half inherited his divine soul and control over elemental forces."

"In truth, both of us are nothing more than new lives born from fragments of the Dragon God's power—each carrying part of his bloodline, but not truly him anymore."

After hearing Lin Yun's explanation, the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings exchanged thoughtful glances and nodded.

It made sense. The power of the Nine Dragon Kings had originated from the Dragon God himself. In the beginning, they had each been granted a portion of his divine authority, and only after countless years of cultivation had they ascended to the level of Dragon Kings—gods in their own right.

So Lin Yun's words struck a chord with them. They understood what he meant.

But with understanding came questions.

"What exactly happened back then?" the Fire Dragon King asked, unable to contain himself. "Why did the Dragon God suddenly go mad? Why did the very rules of the Douluo world change after that?"

He had died without ever knowing the truth—and that was something he could not accept.

"I want to know that too," the Ice Dragon King said, folding her arms under her chest with a proud huff. "That old fool must've been scheming something."

Her tone dripped with arrogance, though curiosity gleamed in her frosty eyes.

"You're clearly still rebuilding your strength, aren't you?" she continued, raising her chin. "In your weakened state, you might need my power. So here's the deal—tell me the truth behind what happened back then, and I'll grant you everything I left behind after my fall."

She gestured toward the piece of jade-gold bone floating near Lin Yun—the torso bone of the Strange Velvet Sky Chrysanthemum.

"That thing you're carrying? Under the influence of the world's rules, part of my own divine essence condensed into something similar—a Dragon Bone imbued with fragments of my godhood, my divine power, and my bloodline as a Dragon King. I imagine it would be quite valuable to you."

"I have one as well," the Fire Dragon King added, nodding in agreement.

Their meaning couldn't have been clearer—if Lin Yun revealed the truth of the Dragon God's downfall, both of their divine Dragon King bones would be his to claim.

Two god-tier Dragon King soul bones—an offer so great it would make even a god pause.

"Well…" Lin Yun rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "I suppose there's no harm in telling you."

He looked up, eyes calm but gleaming with something deeper.

"Here's how it really happened…"
