Chapter 4 - Episode 4

The next morning;

Ginny burst into the apartment, her feet made it straight to Emily's room, with a bright smile on her face. "Hey, Em! How's my favorite girl doing today?" She asked playfully with a high pitched voice.

She flopped down beside Emily on the bed, giving her a playful nudge. But instead of responding, Emily merely groaned, her face buried in the pillow.

Ginny's grin faltered, concern etched on her face. "Hey, what's wrong? You look like you've been run over by a truck!"

Emily slowly sat up, rubbing her temples. "I feel like it, too. My body aches all over." She stretched her arms and cracked her knuckles.

Ginny's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "Oh, really? And why might that be?" She asked.

Emily shot her a warning glance, but Ginny just winked. "Come on, spill the beans! What happened last night?" She smiled mischievously.

Emily sighed, knowing she couldn't avoid Ginny's questions forever, she replied. "Marcus came over, and...we had a good time."

Ginny squealed, bouncing up and down on the bed. "I knew it! I knew you two had chemistry! Tell me everything!"

Emily laughed, despite her fatigue. "Ginny, there's not much to tell. We just...hung out." She tried to push the question away.

Ginny's eyes narrowed, her voice dripping with skepticism. "Hung out? That's all? Emily, I know you're not that innocent. Spill the details, girl!" A sly smirk rested at the corner of her lips.

Emily blushed, trying to deflect Ginny's teasing. "Ginny, stop! It's none of your business."

But Ginny, who just wouldn't let up, fired off questions like a machine gun. "What's his name? How did you meet him? Is he cute? Did you kiss him? Did you...?"

Emily finally threw up her hands, laughing. "Ginny, stop! You're exhausted!" Her cheeks reddened the more and her heart won't stop beating.

She felt some tingles between her legs and facepalmed herself. That guy was a sex god. Who the hell fuck so good except him?

Ginny grinned, snuggling into the bed beside Emily. "Hey, someone's got to keep you on your toes. Now, come on, tell me about this mysterious stranger."

Emily rolled her eyes, but a sly smile crept onto her face. "Well, let's just say...he's quite the charmer." She blushed more.

Ginny squealed again, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "I knew it! I'm so glad you're finally getting some action, Em!"

Emily playfully pushed Ginny away, laughing. "Ginny, you're impossible."

"At least, you can take your mind off that loser ex of yours for a few weeks, or month," Ginny grinned mischievously. "So, when do I get to meet this charmer?"

Emily's face flushed, and she quickly looked away. "I don't know, Gin. It's not like we're dating or anything."

Ginny raised an eyebrow. "Oh, really? Then why did he spend the night?"

Emily's eyes widened, and she quickly covered her mouth. "Ginny, shut up! You're going to wake up the neighbors!" She lowered her voice, "The hell, we're talking about Mr. Donovan and not some regular guy. He gave me a good fuck, and that's all. Nothing more,"

Ginny burst out laughing, holding her sides. "Oh, Em, you're so adorable when you're trying to be discreet!"

Emily playfully hit Ginny with a pillow, laughing. "Shut up, Ginny! You're the worst!"

Ginny laughed. "But you love me this way, don't you?" She winked and stood up from the bed. "Let me prepare breakfast. You need a queen treatment,"

"Okay," Emily said with a smile. "Thank God I Saturday," she groaned lazily and laid back on her bed.

Just before Ginny would leave the apartment, she suddenly stopped and turned to Emily. "Wait a minute, Em. I just remembered something!"

Emily looked at her curiously. "What is it?"

Ginny's eyes sparkled with excitement. "I saw a text on your phone. It was sent last night, from an unknown number...and it said 'Can't stop thinking about you'!"

Emily's face turned bright red as she quickly grabbed her phone and shoved it under the pillow. "Ginny, shut up! That's none of your business!"

Ginny laughed, holding up her hands in surrender. "Okay, okay! I won't tease you anymore...for now."

Emily playfully rolled her eyes, but she couldn't help but feel a flutter in her chest. She had been thinking about Marcus all night, wondering when she would see him again.

A text came up again. Emily took out her phone with a smile. It was attached to the text Ginny talked about. However, something was wrong.

The number that sent the previous and recent text wasn't Marcus's number. Also, she felt a dread feeling wash over her.

"Hey, beautiful," the new text read. "Want to grab brunch today?"

Emily's heart skipped a beat as she quickly typed out a response. "Liam?" She frowned softly at the feeling of familiarity.

"Yes, that's right, baby. Liam," the text responded immediately.

Ginny, who was standing by the door, looked over at Emily's shocked expression and grinned. "Looks like someone's got a date!"

Emily controlled her expression and forced out a smile. "I think so," she lied, not wanting Ginny to bother about her.

Giny reached for the doorknob, "Okay bye, let me prepare breakfast for our future Mrs. Donovan," she chuckled, "How does the name sound?"

Emily rubbed her hand nervously. "Don't go faster than your shadows, Gin."

Ginny laughed and winked. "Oh, don't worry, Em. I'll make sure to keep your secrets safe...for now."

As Ginny left the room, Emily's mind raced with thoughts of Liam. Her mind wandered why he'd be texting her now, after three months of no communication.

Emily's phone buzzed again, and she hesitated before responding. "What time and where?" she typed, her heart racing with anticipation.

"The usual place, 11 am. Can't wait to see you, beautiful," the text replied.

Emily's mind whirled with questions, but for some reasons, she wanted to see him again. He was her first everything and she still felt some connections with him.
