Chapter 2 - Preparing The Troops to Fight Walkers In Advance

It's 7 a.m. on the morning of January 1, 2010. It's seven and a half months before the outbreak. You woke up at 3 a.m. in the world of The Walking Dead as General Peyton of the U.S. Military at Fort Benning, Georgia, but then went back to sleep. Now that you're up, you put on your uniform and decide to call all the high-ranking officers to a meeting to discuss and implement new training for the troops in preparation for the upcoming outbreak and the end of the world that you know about.

You call over the loudspeaker for all high-ranking officers to assemble in the meeting room. They wonder why the general has summoned them, and they arrive, taking their seats as they await your arrival. When you enter the meeting room, you say, 'Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for coming. I have called this meeting to discuss some new training that I am about to implement.' They inquire about the purpose of the training, and you explain that it is designed to address threats that do not cease to exist after being shot in the body by military personnel regardless if the target has been injured or not and continues to pose a danger. They all look horrified.

The training I plan to implement will focus on shooting or stabbing a threat in the head. When I ask if anyone has any objections, one person raises their hand. His name is Captain Gordon, and he asks if this enemy is really a serious concern. I look at him seriously and say that in seven and a half months it will be. He doesn't ask any more questions, and they all just look at me in shock. Please relay this order to the men and women serving, and implement the training I discussed and they all say, 'Yes, sir,' and leave the room to implement your order regarding the new type of training.

You return to your office to issue and write orders related to your new training, ensuring that everyone on base is aware of it and participating, even if they don't like it. You have someone distribute the documents among the men and women serving, just in case the officers forget to inform them. The new training commences today, and I can't wait to see the results. Later, you decide to check on how the training is progressing and inspect the troops. You go and ensure that the order you gave to the high-ranking officers earlier is being implemented efficiently among the troops. You observe the troops practicing headshots on targets and stabbing dummies in the head with their combat knives, as per your orders.

You look on proudly as soldiers practice the new training you implemented, which will later help them fight walkers when the outbreak and the end of the world occurs in seven and a half months. As you are leaving, you see one of the high-ranking officers from the meeting. He nods, and you nod back, saying, 'Good job on carrying out my orders and implementing them among the troops and you walk back to your office on base to plan out what you are going to do next.
